Good morning Visa Officer I applied for renewal of my Tourism Visa 2 weeks ago at the Abuja Dhl Dropbox location. I am urgently in need of my passport now. I have called and emailed the consular but no response. I have already booked my ticket and I'm to land in Canada with my immigrant visa, i just want to stopover and see my sister living in Chicago before continuing in 7 days to Toronto Airport. I haven't visited her for two years and she's just had my new niece. My tickets are non- refundable and changeable at a cost of about 400 dollars and up to 48 hrs before the flight departure time, i am also not entitled to no-shows. I just need to have my passport and the decision by tomorrow latest otherwise I'll incur so much expenses in my ticket. Flight is scheduled for Friday morning. I tracked the application status and it says the case was updated last on Friday. I will be very grateful if someone can help me and I can send my passport no privately. Regards Eghosa. |

Hello I applied for renewal of my B2 visa 2 weeks ago. I'm due to leave on Thursday and also to connect to Canada from there. I have been emailing the consular in Abuja about my situation but nobody has responded to me. If am refused the visa my plans will need to change. And if i don't do a date change before my ticket date I get to loose the whole ticket including the connecting flight (which is twice the ticket price for a date change) to Canada. Pls i need help in getting my passport back by tomorrow latest or at least knowing if i will be given and when i will get it so i don't loose all my ticket money. |

Hello Everyone, congrats to those that got an ITA early this morning. I need urgent advise please. I have a current loan on my salary account, it's not from the bank that holds my salary account but from another bank. It has nothing to do with my funds for the Canadian Application. Do I need to get a letter from the bank that gave me loan saying that I have a loan, amount and what it was for? The Loan will be fully paid in 8 months.the offer letter for the loan already states what it was for. But I'm looking at the period of repayment, and I don't know if this will affect my application to CIC. Is it advisable I look for money from somewhere and repay the whole loan before I submit my application and get a letter of non- indebtedness from the institution or what should I do? Has anyone been in this situation before and what did you do please? |

Hello All, I'm using deed if gift for my pof. Is it okay to show the money in a savings account that I don't have activity on? I have a loan on my salary account and I don't want any interference with the POF so I'm not using my salary account for it. |

Hello please I have some urgent questions 1) Is there anything wrong with having an existing loan at the time of submitting the application post ITA or is it that you shouldn't have any current loans at all, even if it doesn't relate to the proof of funds? 2) Since we are being asked to show evidence of where the funds came from do we still need to have the money in the account 6 months before. I will only have the full money in my accounts by the week, will this be a problem? |

MummyJaygirls: I have received it thankfully. I'm now putting my documents together and I have a set back. for one of my jobs I cannot find the offer letter. I thought I had it with me but I just realized it's lost. The company has gone of business, so I'm confused, is there anyway around the offer of employment, this is the job I based my application on. |

Morbolar: Hello, Did they acknowledge the transcripts or was it verification that they acknowledged? Cos if your Uni is a Nigerian one they will ask for further verification of results from the University once they receive your transcripts. If it's the verification they have received it shouldn't take more than 5 working days from now. But if it's just the transcripts they received you still have some 2-4 weeks to go depending on how fast your school is to respond. If you are using a U.K. school your evaluation should be complete in 3-5 working days from now. This is based on my own experience. |

hernyhorla: The whole process of ECA took me about 4 weeks. I verified two university degrees. I was able to get NECO to send my transcript in this time but unfortunately WES' mail to NECO for further verification was taking too long so I asked them to do only my university degrees. I used DHL for my post. It depends on the speed they paid for. NIPOST also does fast speed post and I know it's 4-5 business days to get to Canada. But if it's by regular speed it may take up to 4 weeks. |

Hello Everyone Please I need some help concerning my application for an Canadian express entry. I submitted my profile on the 21st of sept 2016. The profile score is 426. My job changed in November 2016 to a higher role. I'm aware that I need a higher score to get an ITA but I don't know what to do now. Do I withdraw my application and reapply so that my current role can contribute to increasing my score, cos my understanding is that it's my experience as at the time of applying that counts. In summary I'm looking for ways to boost my score. I have a UK masters degree and a Nigerian Bsc. I was also a finance officer for 3 yrs, 1 yr customer service agent, 2 yrs was a credit controller/customer relationship manager. I'm now 5 months on my current job as the Head of customer service. My IELTS score is 8. |
