A5 users are entitled to a 2 year software update...that doesn't mean firmware o..the firmware update is just for a year..and snapdragon 410 is better than MTK 6592...you can expect custom roms for up to 3 or more years but media tek won't get you more than a year....

On q lighter note, this phone is cheap at that price for all the features it has.
I have a new Samsung A5 that comes with exactly the same specs and battery life. Yet the Samsung comes at a pricey rate of $450.
That should translate to around 75k Naira. I

I sincerely disagree..with Samsung you're buying a durable phone with a 2 year update support and a brilliant snapdragon processor in the A5...also..the A5 has far better cameras than that next hero crap....the zero 2 will only work well for a maximum 8 months....that's why all these O'EM'S churn out phones like crazy....dude your A5 is better than the next ZERO

Dude..those apps won't work...Samsung uses Snapdragon processors for their phones.....those apps only work for Mediatek processors.....Go to XDA forum....rooting snapdragon phones is a delicate process

Guy forget that talk. There's update on the phone,I have both infinix hot note and Tecno boom J7. The only update on the Hot Note for now is the once to fix the slow contact app, message and email. But lemme also say this apps open faster on the Tecno boom J7 than Hot note. It may be due to the tweaking of the phone by tecno. I yet to see the difference between the octa core in the Hot note and the quad core in this phone.

you really won't see the difference until you give the octa-core in hot note optical, infra ware and heavy frame rate skipping apps as a workload....

I use a snapdragon S5 phone and I want to use my simple server WiFi on it but it's very slow. .the simple server is on my P5( tecno) but when I turn on my WiFi and modify it on the S5 browsing and opening sites now take forever to load...it's as slow as 2G...it's thought it was the network but I tried it on my phantom A+ and it was v r you fast and fluid..I don't know what Is wrong with my S5...any suggestions would be welcome. ..ps I bought the phone from a US carrier T-Mobile and I unlocked it.....I can use play store and download movies and music but opening websites is a big issue

It's very possible.. After all the crazy lenovo has spewed out 3 mediatek phones running on lollipop... What I'm saying is a lollipop update to a kitkat phone maybe too difficult... Cos Mediatek don't like to release their source codes
