Rapsowdee01:Thanks, done, but didn’t work. Appears to be a systemic issue that auto resolved number input with that extra prefixed 0, before local number. So impacts just any local number… |
I’ve a RING video doorbell purchased via Amazon and have been unable to complete setup. I’ve been stuck at mobile phone setup stage. When I enter my mobile number that excludes the first zero (ie in 080), since country code is already initiated, it resolves to a full number that reinserts the zero e.g +234 0 8070312345 (instead of +2348070312345). Then the cyclic error that it cannot register the mobile number. Grateful to get advice on how to resolve - thanks. |
Absolutely nothing damning, simply facts... |
Good treat for the staff, but let’s stop to think of how much local economic empowerment this would have had, having same retreat at Obudu, Lagos or Abuja. We need to think more “Nigeria”...! |

Good evening. Please help with this VIN - thanks a lot. 2HNYD2H21CH543120 |
How many prior owners, mileage, VIN, availability...? |
Vehicle looks quite nice, and interesting. What's absolute lowest price? Good to also know VIN and more details (closer up pics, history etc)... |
BJMotors, good to tweak your business/advert strategy. You repeat copy and pastes yet never appear to either state prices for marketed vehicles or engage curious buyers with price related enquiries. That approach is a bit frustrating, and quite noticeable with your threads... |
ChiefSweetus:The vehicle looks nice, but sometimes some electrical/mechanical issue may lurk underneath ... please advise... ![]() So what is the price now? How many previous owners (incl you)? |
If there is documentary evidence of claims, this then is a cheat system and (parents of) students should sue. Nigerians need to exercise their rights more, else Institutions will continue flagrant abuses and impunity. After over N400k and making the 3 As, all successful students MUST be accommodated in the pre-agreed course of study (Medicine), at the agreed entry level (200 level)... |
kayjasper:Very true, and thanks for sharing those very valid thoughts (that call for sober reflections)... |

2 Months use locally, then why is it being sold so suddenly? Any issues...? |
Hi. The car appears nice, at least the interiors and exteriors. We are interested in purchasing it for family use, but need more details – year into Nigeria, mileage at purchase in Nigeria, VIN etc... |
Kindly advise best price for this, today's rate, thanks. |
Nigeria is 54 – hip, hip, hip ... hurray! God bless Nigeria and God grant us grace to in 2015 get credible elections and much better leadership across all levels that will as fundamental basis, honestly drive for: - greater accountability for our leaders (regular declaration of assets, reduced immunity from prosecution) - referendum on system of Govt - continue with current waste (Presidential system) or adopt Parliamentary system (fusion of executive and legislative powers) - more decisive attempts to resolve security and power questions - go-back-to-basics* - basic regulatory frameworks that deliberately reduce bureaucracy, address corruption - increased independence (and integrity) of Judiciary; previous week’s Ekiti incident never to be re-enacted - greater regard for citizens’ lives (no politics or executive wining/dining when citizens are being slaughtered daily) - greater respect for the national flag, Constitution, and full citizen’s rights of all Nigerians Go-back-to-basics* At independence our regions achieved feats and demonstrably showed growth, while almost wholly relying on agriculture. Since the late 60s, we have relied, and still rely, so heavily on oil and gas exports, meanwhile our groundnut (pyramids), cocoa, rubber, hides and other agro products that distinguished us at Independence have been totally relegated backstage. Even at current rebased figures that make us Africa’s largest and place us as 24th on list of World’s big economies, “the majority of (our) 170m-plus people (still) live on less than $1.25 a day” (The Economist, April 12th 2014). In a revised version of “A tale of 2 cities”, we may compare 2 countries that attained independence within 3 years of each other – Nigeria and Malaysia. Both are wrongly classified as 3rd world countries. Wrongly, because in reality should be 2 worlds apart, i.e. in almost all aspects - even though Nigeria arguably (distinctly, in my opinion) has more natural talents and intellectual capacity. Comparisons – the 2 types of Oil: At over 2mbbl/day, we are top 5 in global crude oil exports list, way ahead of Malaysia (<300kbbl/day). However, strangely (but not surprising), we have an almost mathematical inverse on GDP/capital (i.e. compared to our relative positioning on oil exports) … 8 times higher in oil exports figures but 1/7 (a seventh) value per GDP/capita! While one lives off one set of products (shared with various groups of local and foreign oil thieves in our Niger-Delta), the other has various viable alternatives … the main being oil palm! While we let NIFOR (which aided Malaysia’s research efforts in the early 60s) die, Malaysia simply sustained the “exchange program with West African countries … established Kolej Serdang, which became the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in the 1970s to train agricultural and agroindustrial engineers and agribusiness graduates to conduct research in the field” ... and the rest is history. Today Malaysia’s annual figures for export of palm oil (and palm based products) stand at about $30b, almost doubles that for their oil exports. This currently accounts for 44% of world export and provides employment for half a million people (1.6% of their population; translates to almost 3 million people if Nigeria)! Comparisons GDP/capita (i.e. dividing the country’s gross domestic product, adjusted by inflation, by the total population), data from TradingEconomics.com: Nigeria: 9% of world’s average, $559 in 1960 and $1,098 last year (averaging at $687 from 1960-2013). Malaysia: GDP/capita is 55% of world’s average, $815 in 1960 and $6,990 last year (averaging at $3,251 from 1960-2013). Sadly per GDP/capita, they eclipsed Nigeria’s highest ever figure (of 2013) within 10 years of independence. Nigeria has the potential and capacity, and can do better. God bless Nigeria. ** Personal thoughts I shared with some friends early morning on October 1st. |
