I'll like to think the problem is from your LOE.
The vo said your study plan is vague and poorly documented. You need to totally rework it. Introduce yourself, talk about the course you want to study, why you chose lambton, why you chose canada, conclude with why you will return home, justify why spending so much in canada will improve your job prospects back home. You have to explain with cold hard facts and make the story convincing.

You guys should just ignore this linzo fellow. Search his moniker and you will find out it is just a waste of time to have a constructive conversation with him. He is in every thread acting like an expert on matters he has no full grasp of.

Just answer the question and stop dancing around it.

What was your sample size?

How did you arrive at this conclusion?

What's the source of your information?

You can't make assertions without giving us concrete proof.

Linzo:
Hey dude I'm not passing wrong information but just given you the hard truth for you to know abinitio. Information is power, so if you're not among these top universities in niaja then do put more effort in your application packages to scale through. Yes I know you will!!!!
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by eightyeight: 12:05am On Nov 23, 2019
You people have started again. What is the source of this information? How many application samples did you look at to arrive at this conclusion?

It will be better and smart not to cause hysteria by passing wrong information around. Please let's all do better.
Linzo:
Hey fellow aspirants, I'd figure one of the major reasons for rejection especially in the masters program for Nigeria students.
The major reason for refusal is school of your undergraduate, Visa officers give credence to your undergraduate university. Have you notice that graduates from UNN, Unilag, Unibadan, convernent and top five universities are hardly refuse Visa? Most of the refusals are graduates for lesser universities especially private schools.
If you're not from the aforementioned schools please do well to constructively package your application. Take note

You seem leave out the part were students are getting fraudulent letter of admissions. Even going as far as making up a name of an institution that does not exist in canada.

As much as we want to blame the Canadian embassy, we as prospective students are the problem. When thing's like this continue to happen, it makes the whole process hard for other people.
Molly90:
I think this is insightful and gives reasons to the high refusal rate as seen from Vancouver News excerpt.

Visa Consular,
Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada.

Sir/Madam,

I, Mr. a Nigerian descent would like to apply for a study visa in order to further my education in Canada, I have completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger state, Nigeria in 2017. Motivated by my desire in this field, I have gained an admission offer to study Embedded System Engineering Design in the prestigious Lambton College for January 2020.

My childhood was filled with unrelenting tinkering of machines and systems, which comprised of the wonders surrounding the workings and design of the likes of washing machines, cars and televisions. Throughout my high school, my curiosity for the technical underpinnings of Electrical/Electronic seamlessly increased. This curiosity led me into reading every manual I came across and the urge to understand how machines work, inspired my Bachelors degree studies in Electrical Electronics Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Minna Nigeria.

During my first degree I developed a love for embedded system due to the courses I took. These courses are inclusive but not limited to digital electronics, analogue electronics design and control engineering. In 2016, I partook in the Student Industrial Working Experience Scheme which was a requirement for my degree program where I interned at Ayo Ayodele pharmaceuticals chemists Ltd, here I gained working experience in factory operations and control systems. After my experience, I furthered on to major in embedded/control and instrumentation systems, I conducted my final year research project in the design and construction of an energy saving system using a monitoring device, of which 70% of my design was done through my knowledge in embedded systems. After completion of my first degree, I participated in the mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps program (NYSC), where I was posted to a secondary school to help instill the knowledge gained from my days in the university to the students, which I did diligently. On completion of my NYSC program, I gained an internship with Rocktop Safety Integrated Services Ltd where I also gained hands on experience and training of automation and control (PLC, SCADA and EMBEDDED SYSTEMS).

(IT WILL HELP YOU TO BE MORE SPECIFIC ON ON THE THINGS YOU LEARNED, YOUR DAILY FUNCTIONS AND PROJECTS YOU WORKED ON WHILE YOU WERE THERE IF ANY.)

I choose to study embedded system engineering design because of the fast-growing need in today's workplaces for advanced skills, related to the design and development of software and hardware solutions for embedded electronic systems. ESED delivers a unique interdisciplinary learning experience in embedded system fundamentals, design concepts and integration of modern communication principles with industrial and electronic devices which meets my desired field of further studies.

All of my past endeavors make me highly motivated and energetic at adopting new attitudes and encountering new things. This is why I chose to keep improving myself by considering a post-graduate degree at Lambton College, Canada. In my search to foster my studies, I came across Lambton College which I found a perfect fit for further studies. The post-graduate diploma offered at Lambton College will surely substantiate me with the right acquaintances, dexterity, and practice to accomplish my professionalism. Communication protocols, advanced system programming, in depth study of operating systems such as (Linux) are among the few courses I wish to pursue. Also, the opportunity to work with highly experienced and skilled staff members along with the prominent facilities available would definitely help me in my academic pursuit.

( BEING SPECIFIC ABOUT YOUR COURSES AND WHAT IT WILL EQUIP YOU WITH OUT IN THE REAL WORLD. EXPLAIN AND SIMPLIFY THE ENGINEERING TERMS AND MAKE IT SEEM RELATABLE)

As I considered the options for my postgraduate studies, Canada was my first choice because the Canadian educational system has a friendlier approach to international students with high international rankings. Furthermore, I would get the opportunity to interact with and be exposed to competition from the best students from around the world, get introduced to various cultures and ethics, as well as improve my communication skills. Canadian universities offer well known and widely accepted degrees all over the world. Canadian qualification will surely be a strong base for boosting my career and building my future.

(YOUR REASON FOR CHOOSING LAMBTON HAS TO BE MORE THAN THIS. DO THEY HAVE SPECIAL PROGRAMS, GREAT ALUMNI NETWORK ETC. YOU SHOULD GET THE DRIFT OF WHERE THIS IS GOING)

The required admission deposit is 8185 CAD for my first term, but 15710 CAD for the full year has been paid on my behalf by my sponsor who is my cousin . My sponsor’s bank statement is attached to accommodate my total tuition and living costs for my first and second year in Canada. A sponsorship letter from him is also attached.

(THIS COULD BE A BIT CONFUSING. JUST STATE THAT YOU HAVE PAID Bleep AMOUNT TO THE COLLEGE TO COVER YOUR TUITION FOR A YEAR AND YOU HAVE ATTACHED REQUIRED PROOF.)

On the acquisition of this degree, I would return to my home country and pursue the career of my choice with the newly acquired outstanding skillset and join the design, production, and manufacturing industry. My vision is to provide advanced solutions to the problems we are currently facing in the Nigerian Production sector, as most manufacturing industries are now using Programmable logic Controller (PLC),Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distributed Control Systems (DCS) software to protect, control and monitor the industrial machines and equipment which help increase the efficiency of productions and also ensure the safety of workers. All these systems are made up of embedded systems and they require advanced academic knowledge which is currently lacking in Nigeria. Thus, bridging the existing skill gap in the industry, mentor youths who do not have the privilege to acquire this knowledge and improve production capacity while reducing cost of production and also increasing production efficiency of local industries where applicable. I am confident I possess the intellectual and practical skills necessary to succeed in this program. The theoretical and field training will be a great learning experience for me to share with, and make a positive impact in my home country.

( WHAT CAREER ARE YOU GOING BACK TO PURSUE?

WHAT PROBLEMS ARE FACING THE MANUFACTURING SECTOR RIGHT NOW?

HOW DO YOU INTEND IN PROVIDING SOLUTIONS TO THESE PROBLEMS. WITH THE SKILLS YOU AQUIRED WHILE AT LAMBTON?

YOU DIDN'T TALK ABOUT FAMILY MEMEBERS, FRIENDS THAT WILL MAKE YOU COME BACK EITHER.

YOU NEED TO BE REALLY SPECIFIC.)

During the course of my study, I undertake to fulfil the conditions of my visa.

Thank you for your attention.

Yours faithfully

This is just to let people know that if anyone calls he or herself an AGENT, that they are fake and would most likely get you into trouble. It is even against Canadian Federal laws. IT IS ADVISED YOU DO YOUR APPLICATION YOURSELF OR GET A REGISTERED IMMIGRATION CONSULTANT. GOD BLESS EVERYONE.

Calm down there, we re all here to assist one another on this forum n not talk about using any silly agent. Most agents are scammers n are only intrstd in d money they expect to get 4rm u. I've seen several cases of people using agents n then regretting it afterwards. Now d latest is dis fake bank statement n then d victims end up getting a ban, while those dt are yet to apply find it difficult to convince a VO dt they re genuine. Biko, agent matter is a NO NO jor
baba read to understand. Don't just read to reply. I stated clearly that there are immigration consultants certified by the Canadian government to help people with immigration. The guy with the issue of bank statement goofed big time. Blame is on him and whatever agent he used. If anyone feels they need professional help, go on the RCIC and search for one.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by eightyeight: 8:53pm On Jul 11, 2019
Just to put it out there. Using an agent is not a bad idea. There are certified peope who are immigration consultants and recognized by the Canadian immigration. They know all the loop holes and various strategies. They do not come cheap though, least they will charge you is 2,500 CAD. If you are going to use an agent at all, make sure they are registered and certified.

My brother, it baffles me since this monicker popped up. We have seen several of this type on the forum. Their aim is to cause disunity, arguments and confusion on the group so people will walk away and stop dropping meaningful information. When this is achieved, they will now be able to rip people apart as agents, and give them bans. I don't even blame the so called monicker. I guess he should focus on his/her own application and stop pock nosing in other affairs, dishing out wrong advises.
Just some few hours ago, we haven't finished addressing the issue of Leave777 where he is a victim of fraudulent activities from an agent, and a so called learned fellow is advising another to use an agent. I shake my head is disparity. Its quite unfortunate we have to deal with this kind of miscreants. Continue advertising and advising about agents, @Justwise will deal with you appropriately.

A diploma program will be your best route. Or better still request for your academic transcript in liue of getting course waivers for a bsc program. However, with the recent trend of refusals there needs to be a clear study plan in order to convince a visa officer.

Hello. I am looking to apply for an undergraduate degree in Canada. I am 26, finished my secondary school in 2009. I got into university in the republic of bene in 2013. I dropped out in 2016 as my parents were not convinced with the quality of education.

I have been working on and off since 2016 and now finally ready to go back to school. My parents will be sponsoring me.

I want to know what my chances are and the best route to go when writing a statement of purpose and letter od explanation.

I will appreciate helpful comments. Thank you
