Ikenna351: I forgot to ask, any update the car issue?

Ikenna
Just got a guy who is coming this weekend to scan it, couldn't get any around here. Believing God it can be sorted out. Thanks for asking.
Car TalkRe: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by Ejaay: 8:36am On Nov 13, 2013
Ikenna351: * Driving Position: Right Hand Drive.

My phone number is in my signature. Or you can have it here: 08052811236.

I don't live in Kogi. I stay in Abuja. So, I don't know anyone around there that can help you fix the car. But there should someone that has an OBD II scan tool in your town. Take the car there and try if the scan tool can communicate with the car system.

Ikenna
Mr Ikenna, pls do you think we ll enjoy this car? The guy that sold it seems to be a fraud, dint say the car was RHD changed to LHD.
Car TalkRe: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by Ejaay: 4:25pm On Oct 27, 2013
Okay, thank you loads. I ll keep you posted, so whatz your advise on the transmission, Like changing it to manual or not etc. A mechanic talked about changing fuel filter and fuel pump.
Car TalkRe: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by Ejaay: 4:01pm On Oct 27, 2013
Ikenna351: Below is the result.

1. Car: Peugeot 407, 4 Door Saloon.

2. Warranty Start Date: 23/12/2004.

3. Engine: EW10 J4, 2.0 L, 16v, 138 bhp.

4. Transmission: AL4, 4-speed Auto Gearbox AL4.

5. Driving Position: (Indicate if you are interested in this).

*About the driving position, I left it out since you didn't ask me to post it. But if you want me to disclose it, Let me know.

Ikenna.
Thanks, so what now? Is it a 2004 model? What about the driving position? Pls send all you can, maybe to my box if you feel so. ele_adaji@yahoo.com. And pls can you send someone to help fix it? My husband lld ve liked to talk with you, but don't know if I can get you no too.
Thank you for the info so far.
Car TalkRe: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by Ejaay: 3:22pm On Oct 27, 2013
Ikenna351: The info you gave us is not enough to tag the transmission as the culprit. Yes, it sounds like transmission issue, but since am not that good in auto transmission issues, I would like to be sure with a scan tool. The problem, if it's transmission issue, could be auto trans fluid related. I have heard about slippery clutch in auto transmissions as well.

You really need to scan the car, even if you cant find PP2000. Look for any OBD II scan tool that can communicate with the ECUs. If the engine is EW12, the protocol will likely be KWP 2000. I think the ECU has the same protocol with ES9J4S (V6) protocol. Some Universal scanners have that protocol.

I would need the engine model and transmission model to tell you the cost of replacing the transmission or converting to manual, if transmission is the culprit. Send me the car VIN to get the engine and transmission models. You will find the VIN in engine bay, behind right side head light, above the firewall or under the windscreen (drivers side, when viewed from outside). Its 17 digits, which starts with VF3xxx

Ikenna
Okay, its VF36DRFNE21159008.
Pls how much does a PP2000 or any scanner cost?
Car TalkRe: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by Ejaay: 2:01pm On Oct 27, 2013
Ikenna351: Auto or manual transmission ? I wanted to ask which engine series, but you wouldn't know.

Yes, i know you mentioned "drive", but i needed to be sure.

Before you get back to us with the transmission, one thing is sure, either the auto transmission is failing (if it's auto tranny ) or a sensitive injection component has failed or failing, setting the car to limp home mode, to protect the engine or transmission from severe damage.

You need to scan the car with PP2000 to get all the stored faults in engine and transmission ECUs. Is the car in Abuja?

Ikenna.
Its auto transmission, so does it mean the whole auto has to be changed? Is it better to just install a manual transmission instead? Do you know the cost of either of the transmissions?
No, the car is in Idah in kogi state.
Pls what do you think should be done, though the car moved a little today without stopping.
Thanks.

ferdimako: If you can, go tomorrow only to drop it.
Okay, tnx.
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Ejaay: 6:02pm On Jun 16, 2013
ferdimako: Yeah, but NOUN didn't allow students to do that this time.Your IT guy could do it but if you would love to do it next semester, don't bother.

We dropped a course last semester(CIT445) after walking out on it from the exam hall and that is why I have N3,500 balance in my ewallet. It is a core but unnecessary since we have all passed 120 units, so in order to avoid an F and coming back to resit...we left and some folks in the hall were laughing at us. Did they know a thing about what we avoided? The course handler set off material!I have my result on a page that contains my name and most folks who did that course got Fs. For me to abandon that course after amassing 26 out 30 from the TMAs was something else.

The same man handled CIT342 and after I got like 26 from the TMAs I got an E with a total of 43.So I pulled 17 out of 70 in the exams. You see wahala?! No record or mentioning of that CIT445 on my result sheet or row.

In a nutshell, you don't get scored on a course with only TMAs but you get scored with exams score only.Don't even know why some people throw away their TMAs' 30% freebie!
Okay tnx, I got 26 in the TMAs too. The exam is 8am tmrw and I am not making a head way @ understanding it the course. So I don't want to write it anymore, cos its an elective and I ve enof credit unit. Can't I just drop it next semester?
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Ejaay: 1:54pm On Jun 16, 2013
ferdimako: In August, you will start off with 1st Semester, although that will be some people's 2nd semester.
Pls Mr Ferdimako, can I drop a course I ve already done TMAs in?
