ClixMaster: 2019 is going to be an eventful year for all phone makers as most are already fired up to unveil smartphones with foldable screens and 5G at the upcoming MWC in Barcelona.
A teaser from Huawei at the end of Huawei Mobile’s 5G launch event in Beijing yesterday, 24th January revealed that the company will be unveiling the world’s first foldable 5G smartphone at MWC holding in Barcelona.
The CEO of the company’s Consumer Business Group, Richard Yu in his statement on the attached video said: “We look forward to seeing you in Barcelona in February, where we will launch the world’s first 5G smartphones with a foldable screen.”
According to the teaser, the smartphone will feature Kirin 980 Chipset with the Balong 5000 modem. Though the name of the phone is yet to be ascertained, the video also suggests that Huawei will be releasing more than one 5G smartphones at the event, and only one will feature a foldable screen.
