Religion / The New Year Owes You Nothing by ejehijustice(m): 12:00pm On Jan 09, 2018
*THE NEW YEAR OWES YOU NOTHING*
The anxiety and euphoria of the new year should have ended by now, the new year resolutions, the goals, dreams and aspirations and all "fire works," I guess it didn't last beyond on the 5th, we are all back to reality. That the new year doesn't come with any thing new, we are our same old self, with same height, colour, clothes, taste, preference, job. In fact nothing really changed with the new year.
I find it laughable when people verbally accord the new year with declarations like, "my year of flourishing," "my year of uncommon grace," my year of prosperity," with no defined blueprint to getting there. While these declarations are not bad in itself, it is bad to believe that the new year brings these things along with it, when in reality the new year is just a change of date. Little wonder people make new year resolutions and have nothing to show for it because they think the year owe them the good things of life and so they refuse to take responsibility for their life.
The new year comes with nothing, it is just a change of date, if you must succeed this year, you must take responsibility for your life, you must change your attitude as you can't keep on doing the same thing and expect a different result, you must work in yourself and develop yourself.
Happy new year is a time for responsibility not wishful thinking. It is not OK to have a dream, you must have a plan to achieving the dream and make concerted efforts towards your dream.
The new year owes you nothing, take responsibility for your life. Happy New Year!

Religion / Message From The Dead To The Church Is Unscriptural by ejehijustice(m): 5:02pm On Dec 31, 2017
*MESSAGE FROM THE DEAD TO THE CHURCH IS UNSCRIPTURAL*
The social media is filled lately with stories of people claiming they died and went to heaven or hell and came back with a message for the church and individuals from God. Some claim they received messages from their dead friends or relatives to warn the church on the second coming of Christ and rapture. People are even threatened to forward it to people as failure to do so would attract curses.
One such story going around the internet goes like this: “*I WAS TOUCHED IN THE SPIRIT WHEN I HEARD THIS*
One of our pastors was preaching yesterday evening, and he said: 3 weeks ago, while he was doing morning prayer a man came out of his house listening and responding amen to his prayers
After he finished preaching, the man came to him and said 'pastor, I want to speak with you.'
“While they were yet discussing, the man showed him his house. He said: see that upstairs, God built it for me as a reason of me evangelizing for Him but now, I don’t evangelize anymore and I don’t know why, but I’m still serving God.
The man said: my wife died 2 weeks ago. While the pastor was trying to sympathize with him, he said, 'no, because she returned back to life.'
And he started cryiny, the pastor was curious to know why he was crying, and the man said: she died in an operation and the doctors confirmed her dead, but she returned back to life with a message.
And the message was “Go and tell your husband and everyone, as many as you can reach, tell them that: *”THE CHARIOTS ARE READY!!”* and the man continued crying…
Friend(s), I don’t think we need any other explanation to this…
What we should do, I don’t think we need anyone to tell us..
There’s no more time… *BE INFORMED… BE WARNED…*
Please don’t just read and like this, but make sure that you share with everyone in your contacts.
By doing this, you’re as well doing
a great work of evangelism which is the heart beat of God.
God bless You.
(Forwarded as received).”
On face value, the story tends to talk about the rapture and second coming of Jesus, these messages are the core of the Christian teachings and so unsuspecting Christians fall hook, line and sinker but on closer look, you will realise everything is wrong with such stories.
I find it disturbing that God would choose the dead to evangelise to the church, when he frowns at any communication between the living and the dead.
“Deu 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
Deu 18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
Deu 18:12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.”
The word "necromancer" in verse 11 is someone who speaks, engages in, or communicate with the dead.
God calls it an abomination, he detest every act of necromancy yet they want us to believe God will use the dead to warn the church.
Another passage of scripture that further stresses God's mind on the dead preaching to the living in Luke 16, the famous story of Lazarus and the rich man.
“ Luk 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
Luk 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
Luk 16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
Luk 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
Luk 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Luk 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Luk 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime received thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Luk 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Luk 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou would send him to my father’s house:
Luk 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
Luk 16:29 Abraham says unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
Luk 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
Luk 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”
The conclusion of this scripture Luke 16 above is under no circumstances will God send anyone from the dead to warn the living. Heb 13:8 tells us that God has not change his mind as they would have us believe.
When the church err, the scriptures are out guide not necromancers... If Necromancy is not from God, its sure came from the Devil.
Happy New year in advance

Good morning house.
I am contemplating between going for BSc Mathematics and BSc(Ed) Mathematics in National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) as I am a working class and I won't be chanced to go to a regular university. My dream is to become a university lecturer.
Lecturers, counsellors and educationist in the house can help me pls as I would love to make an informed decision. Thanks...
