Romance › Re: She Chose Her Hotel Job Over Her Relationship by ejieddy: 1:36pm On May 14
So he has concluded that she will be promiscuous right? Did he meet her in the hotel and slept with her before they got serious? Did he meet her in a club? Has he caught her before in her promiscuity? Why is he insecure that she has to leave her job? If he doesn't trust her, he has no business in that relationship, hotel or not.

Travel › Re: Obasanjo Speaks On Air Peace Experience On Lagos–london Flight With CEO Onyema by ejieddy: 7:33pm On May 09
Used Airpeace to Freetown and back... It was a good experience flying with them. They even gave us a free boat ride from the airport in Lungi to the main town that should have cost $60. To and fro was less than $1000 and flight time was over 4hrs with one stop at Accra when returning, and 5 hrs with two stops when going (Accra and Monrovia). The other flight available, (Ethiopia airways) was going to charge over $1500 with about 4 stops. Thank God for airpeace.
Family › Re: How Do I Get Rid Of A Visitor Who Refuses To Leave? by ejieddy: 2:05pm On May 08
Had the same issue with friends twice on different occasions. The first, I couldn't tell them to leave. I had about 5 of them with me in my two bedroom apartment. Feeding was on me and all. I had to relocate and when I did, I paid an extra year rent. That was the most stupid moment of my life. I regret those years.

The second time, one of the guys came to me where I relocated. Wanted to stay like that again, I called him, sat him down and told him he had to leave. I didn't plan his coming and don't have the budget for him. Told him he had to leave the next day after staying for more than 4 days unannounced. I stood my ground, gave him 10k transportation and bye bye. He was angry for a while with me, but who cares. I didn't even call to apologize. After a year, baba called me for money when he needed it. Sent him 5k, and the rest is history.

Oga, pls I beg you, send that friend away. No friend will come and inconvenience you that way without a plan. He's not a friend, he's a leach. He can go and rent a room for less than 100k. He has family members he can call if he's serious, but he has seen you are weak and is taking advantage of that. Pls, send him away or you'll regret it

Business › Re: ₦1000: What Can You Buy With Nigeria's Highest Currency? by ejieddy: 10:08am On Apr 16
Reference:
The flat comparison is understandable. Yes things are more expensive there as in most parts of the world. But when you introduce the 'better off' narrative by Mr. Tinubu you also qualify it by introducing the 'earnings' aspect which is the basket called standard of living.

So the question then becomes:
What is the wage structure of that country for those in employment or how long does it take to earn a specific amount, for those who work informally. Then the argument becomes balanced.

Thus the simple reason things are cheaper in this country is that they have to, because the purchasing power is low. It is the only thing that has made a very bad inflationary regime not much, much worse. And not because the government is doing anything to make goods and services relatively cheaper than in other climes.
Great point. But the wage structure is equally poor. Jobs are rare and difficult to find. What makes Nigeria better is her entrepreneurial spirit. Not government. The SME's. That's what drives our economy. While everyone here works mostly for government as that's what provides 80 percent of jobs, it's different for Nigeria as the private sector provides the most jobs and drives the economy. I'm a visiting engineer and the people who mostly sell building materials are foreigners, Indians, Chinese etc. But in Nigeria, it's us.

We create our jobs and maybe that's why wages might be quite low. It's not different here as wages are as low as Nigeria, probably comparable.
Business › Re: ₦1000: What Can You Buy With Nigeria's Highest Currency? by ejieddy: 6:22pm On Apr 15
Well, I'm not an advocate for this government. In fact I believe they have done terribly and Tinubu should be voted out. But I'm currently in Sierra Leone. A liter of fuel is 35 Leones, and 1 Leone is N60. They redenominated their currency like Ghana as 1 Leone was formally 1000 old Leones. Their people still talk in thousands as they are getting used to the new currency.

35 Leones is N2100. If fuel ever gets to N2100 in Naija, I'm sure we'll riot.

A tomato 🍅 costs 10 Leones. That's N600. I'm not saying a basket or bowl or plate. I mean one Tomato. Same with the onions we sell in Naija. Things are crazily expensive.

You buy 10gb of Data from Orange network for 200 Leones. That's N12,000. My first buy of 20gb was N24,000, 400 Leones. That's crazy as N18,000 will buy you 75gb of Mtn data. The 20gb lasted a week.

So believe me, when Tinubu says we are better of than most African countries, he actually means it. I'm not praising him as I believe that's not an excuse. We dey enjoy small for Naija o but we can do better.

Their highest currency is 20 Leones. It can buy 2 Tomatoes.

Peter Obi is too desperate to be president. He can roll with any character just for votes. It's better they arrest him and heaven will not fall.

Tinubu will win 2027.
You think they wouldn't have done it if they had anything on him? The man isn't corrupt like all the APC leaders that they have to be on the good side of the president of they want to stay out of jail
Politics › Re: I Don't Believe In Alex Otti's Half Transformation — Sowore by ejieddy: 2:09pm On Mar 23
This post is very misleading. There was no where in the video he said he's a failure. He did confirm that there has been some transformation but he wants to see total transformation... That will definitely take time and Alex Otti is doing well. He's following a plan and going gradually. With time, you will all see it. Even Rome wasn't built in a day, but we can see the strides taken.

Stop your propaganda. I also wish he'll hold every other governor and this administration accountable too.

This is exactly 💯 what all these useless police and army 🪖 like doing in the south east with their over 2000 checkpoints at every 3 kilometre mark on the roads undecided

Later the army will start running propaganda against Igbos by showing us fake bombs and claiming they arrested people who are blowing up places just to paint the south east as being unsafe cry

Imagine . . . A country's security apparatus conniving with the ruling party to throw their hardworking citizens under the bus just to keep their United national big8try alive and kicking cool
3km? You didn't even say 1km. Going from Aba to Owerri is a nightmare. Every 500m na police. What the hell?
