Come to, Akeja Ota, close to Joke Ayo in Lagos. N200. You will get BRT to CMS, Yaba, Oshodi, Ikeja from there. You can get one bedroom for that amount, a very good one. I stay in a three bedroom for N600k at that place. My wife works at LASUTH, she did a training at Ebutte Meta (FMC) and she goes by BRT every morning and gets to work by 8am. Bus leaves by 6:30am. My landlord is quite different though, I don't think you'll get such accommodation anywhere for that amount but you could get a two bed for N700k here.
Romance › Re: 10 Honest benefits of marrying In late 30s or early 40s - A sober reflection by ejieddy: 8:52pm On Aug 06, 2025
Don't marry too late. Think of your kids too. It's better to actually be done raising kids early. But I do see your point and they are very very good and thoughtful points. I got angry when I couldn't marry before 30. Got married at 33 and I feel it's one of the best age to do so. Say between 30 and 37. That's a good age to marry. It also helps you with whom you will be married to as you can marry a lady between 27 and 33. If you are 40 and you marry a lady below 30, that's a generation apart and it could be a challenge at times. Once a lady starts hitting 35, there's pressure on her for marriage and kids. You really don't want that for your wife. A man at 40 is more likely to marry a lady above 33.

100 million barrels of oil at just $50 per barrel is over $5bn. Let's allow $3bn for the cost of production and the profit of the oil companies, that's $2bn left. That's over N3 trillion for a state. Why Delta state isn't Dubai already is beyond my imagination.

According to AI calculations Africa is owed $5,000 Trillion for its historical exploitation.

Go and tell your white masters that this world will be Destroyed by forces they don’t even know exist if those Reparations to Africa are not repaid into the bank account of Every African-descendant on Earth.

You and your thieving white criminals you worship will learn that God did not create this world for one group of greedy people to rape and destroy for their own enrichment.
Chai my brother... Remove hate and bitterness from your heart and be content. Nobody will pay any reparations to anyone. Yes they exploited us, sold out fathers and that was terrible. But we here have found our peace. We are fine and forging ahead. Those over there who think they deserve reparations, well if you aren't happy, maybe find your way back to the land of your ancestors. $5000 trillion reparations for what exactly? For discovering electricity? the internet? All they discovered by themselves? You don't deserve any reparations... Your fathers do and they are dead. We fought a civil war here in Nigeria and the Nigerian government committed atrocities against the igbos. It was a genocide. After the war, I hear they gave some people 20 pounds to begin with. My father or his father never received a dime. I don't go about believing Nigeria owes me anything. Many of the igbos have moved on, building their nation with or without anyone's help.

America owes Africa nothing. Don't be entitled

You're ignorant of the cosmetics of US and it's largely due to inferiority complex. I am sure that you don’t know that American leaders go on medical tourism too and most of the medications in US are imported from Ireland, India and China. Most of the medical hardware devices are from China and Germany.

A country that imports almost everything from overseas will definitely have leaders that will rather go to the foreign countries but will not make a fuss. Ignorance is not bliss o.

If you have money, you can pay for your service anywhere in the world. This is what the poor and those with poor man mentality don't know

Iran is the sweet spot for Westerners who want affordable and topnotch plastic surgery but you will never read about it. So by your inferior logic, Iran is automatically better than the Western countries niyen. Smh.

Again, I am sure that you don’t see anything wrong with a US with poor counties that could not fund flood alert system or buy rescue gadgets now spending millions on a ballroom for dancing on the graves of their flood victims. That's you expressing inferiority complex. Smh

Inferiority complex again.

That you have a black skin should not make you believe that you are inferior to Americans.

It is disgraceful, irresponsible and wicked that you call building a ballroom with millions of US dollars while cutting medicaid for the poor and leaving them to be killed by flood is accountability. Smh

Do not let inferiority complex destroy you.

Trump fund a ballroom on a land he will not pay a dime for? Go and look at where Trump Tower in New York is first. Go and find out who are his neighbor? No ordinary person can ever buy such a property! Same thing he wants to do in Washington DC!

He is one of the most stingy billionaires in the US, he and his billionaire friends want to build a real estate on a land that money cannot buy then draw huge and everlasting imagine rights from it.

The millions he could not give Kerr county and those poor rural counties being killed by floods because they couldn't afford is now the one he wants to donate to build a ballroom and you fell for that ignorantly? Smh.

He is repeating same thing he was convicted for! He will borrow from the US deposits with banks and profit from it. He will never use 1 cent of his money. The whole cost will be borne by American tax payers. I am not a foolish or gullible person o. Trump that canceled USAID, reduced funding for medicaid and fired junior workers told you he is building a ballroom on as a donation on a strategic real estate land and you believe it? Smh.
So it's the cancellation of USAID that's your challenge... I have never seen people so entitled to other people's money like Africans.
Continue with your Trump hatred... Thank God your opinion or your vote doesn't count.

The new ballroom — which will maintain the “theme and architectural heritage” of the neoclassical executive mansion, the White House said — will have a seated capacity of 650 people, more than three times the space in the East Room, currently the largest event space in the White House.

This is the same USA that has counties living along flood planes that could not afford money to build a warning alert system which unfortunately led to the deaths of many children and people running into hundreds of deaths just few weeks ago in this year 2025.

During the rescue relayed live on TV by CNN, the Texas emergency workers were using bare hands to turn over shrubs to look for survivors. No drone, no technological or advanced rescue operation like China or Japan deploys. Btw, Texas is one of the richest oil-producing states in the US yet most of its counties are poor and rural. Most of the victims of the flood never made it because US was using manual labor to search. The whole world was embarrassed by the disgusting and disgraceful poverty on display in Texas.

A golf and jet-loving President who cut down on medicaid for the US poor and less fortunate is same President willing to spend almost half a billion dollars to build a ballroom for government use only. That's the same President whose representative in Nigeria few days ago complained that our government is spending money on government houses. Smh.

This is the face of a hypocrite below

It will be funded by him and other private donors. Are you ok now? He's a billionaire and he will fund it. It's not your money oga. It's his money. Rest!

I hope Trump will have a rethink about defunding FEMA now, and stop his move to force them to build facilities to house arrested immigrants.

Emergencies like these are the reason it was created, not to tackle immigrantion or play politics, but to help Americans in difficult times, irrespective of the colour of their skins or who they voted for.
FEMA should not also discriminate who they give assistance to. You see what happened in Florida last year where a woman was refused assistance because she was a Trump supporter and had a MAGA sign post in her front yard.

Stop watching FOX News. Who told you anyone is ''falling over to make trade deals'' with America?

Trump is a repulsive criminal convict and a fascist, in addition to being a thoroughgoing racist, and he is the president of the country you are worshipping.

America is funding the commission of war crimes in Gaza. It is a rogue nation led by a convict. A nation where people, including US citizens are being snatched off the streets and dumped in El Salvador prisons.

Even news stations are having their staff fired for being critical of the dictator Trump.

Tourism to America has dried up.

Who wants to visit a place ruled by fascist criminals where the rule of law is non existent?

I see I am talking to a full blown liberal socialist. Go back to your country. Thank God for DJT who stopped the invasion of America. Keep listening to MSDNC and the likes. Trump just made a deal with EU, Japan and the UK. He has stopped the fraud, waste and abuse that you people were benefitting from. I'm sure you had to run away because you were convicted of a crime or so.

Trump isn't snatching people of the streets. He's sending violent criminals back and you are right, I wish we had a decisive, passionate leader like that. You call him a criminal but your own president is a drug dealer, a consigliere for a cartel. Trump was charged for tax evasion, and a stupid call girl signing an NDA and taking classified documents. The same tax evasion that people who were going after him have been doing and he had already paid back all he owed the state of New York. They couldn't stop him and they can't. He spoke against Israel and the war and he is doing something about it. He stopped Iran, Cambodia & Thailand war, Pakistan and India war and he's about to deal with Putin. He has put NATO back together.

Your president destroyed ECOWAS within 6 months of being president. Niger, Burkina and Mali are gone. Guinea is about to join them. Yet he travels every two weeks like an offshore worker to places that have no relevance to the Nigerian economy. I'll take Trump 100 times over this incompetent president. I have my younger bro in DC and he has never been snatched from the street because his going there was legal. What Trump is against is illegal immigration and he has brought it down. He isn't even removing people who didn't commit a crime because I know so many of them there who haven't been given papers but are law abiding and no one is harassing them. ICE has nothing to do with them. You guys are just bitter you lost an election and you will keep losing for generations with your liberal socialist agenda of kids gender transformation and killing babies.

Topics like this is where you identify people still suffering from colonial mentality, people of low self esteem.

Is it that you just found out that our politicians were spending huge sums on govt houses. Is it news? So it is only when the Americans said so that you suddenly realized we spend huge sums on govt houses? You’ve not been following the news for years? Again I ask How is it their business? Everybody knows Nigerian politicians are corrupt from Atiku to Obi to Tinubu, Did I say they are not all corrupt? I said they should mind their business! Do you have a problem with English? The point is unlike you I don’t join outsiders to condemn my own. If I have a problem in my house I address it in house and tell outsiders where to go! If I can’t address a family problem in house then so be it but I don’t carry family business to outsiders, it s a sign of poor home training. But then it’s part of your culture it seems, you people seem badly raised! It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to guess your tribe.

I am sure you don’t know that until last year there used to be a US law that criminalized American companies that offered or paid bribes to officials of foreign countries to get contracts etc. did you know they have repealed the law? It is now official US policy that an American company can bribe a Nigerian public official without consequences! Yet they want to lecture us on corruption?

You have low Low self esteem. You are the reason they keep taking us for a ride. Now they want to flood our food supply with GM crops and as usual it is mentally enslaved, inferiority complex ridden, western lackeys excited to be associated with Bill Gates not knowing or not caring that he is setting us up for food slavery that will sell out their own to please their masters. It is people like you that will side with Facebook and twitter for milking us and not paying taxes!

Slavery has ended, colonization has ended, have some self respect!

They should mind their own business, last time I was in America, the place was such a mess, homeless people everywhere sleeping in tents, drug addicts everywhere. Their nfrastructure is outdated and falling apart yet they spend trillions on wars all over the place and have the audacity to criticize us. Is that not hypocrisy? There is a whole world outside America, go to China or Dubai and I promise you will realize that America is a 3rd world country in comparison.

Many of you lack English comprehension, the point is the affairs of Nigeria is none of their business. If they cannot mind their business while they are here they should pack their embassy staff and leave. Nobody is begg8ng them to be here.

America is a dead country! I went to grade 5 and 6 there as a kid, I have since visited multiple times, I know what it was like and Each time I see a country in progressive decay. America is not a country I want to go to for any reason! It used to be a great country, it no longer is on all fronts. It is a country living on past glories!

It is only people with low self esteem or people who never saw the world or had the opportunity to travel outside Nigeria that still glorify and worship, listen or pay any attention to America.

Have some self respect or no one will acccord you any!

I don’t need the meddlesome messenger to deliver a message I already know…neither do you? It’s your low self esteem disturbing you.

So now that your daddy America has told you what you already know, what then? You didn’t know before? Did you do anything? Now that your outside daddy has told you what you know are you going to do anything?

Yeye people all of you!
It's because of people like you that God made a donkey in the Bible. Even if you are been shown the right way, you will never accept because it's not coming from the person you ought. I'm baffled that you are saying America is like a third world country. How ignorant are you to actually think that, just because you had the opportunity to be there. I'm glad they have reviewed their Visa procedures so that people like you won't go there and start running your mouth after being there. Why didn't you refuse to go? You run about your whole life just to earn their dollars, you dangle the fact that you have gone there like it's something you have achieved and you still abuse the largest economy in the world. All the countries you mentioned are falling over just to make trade deals with them, something Nigeria have the capacity for but will never achieve due to the insensitivity of our leaders but to people like you, "Listen to me, I've been to America and there's nothing there". Like we will worship you because you have gone to America... You went to serve your colonial masters and you have the guts to come and abuse people who truly want the best for their nation, knowing its potentials?

We are not impressed oga. That we know our leaders are corrupt doesn't mean we won't concur when others say it. It's even better to hear it from the US so these leaders know the world is watching. Don't make a fool of yourself oga with your higher than all attitude and lifestyle.

Ignorance is not bliss o wink

Let me break it down for you slowly. Coartem is like what Panadol is to generic paracetamol tablet brands like Emzor Paracetamol tablets, which are cheap and effective. At a time that 10 tablets of panadol was N1,500, ten tablets of Emzor paracetamol was around N150.

It is like what Rolls Royce is to a regular sedan car. They are both car brands but Rolls Royce is pricey.

Since you can't afford Coartem, explain your financial plight to the Pharmacist. The Pharmacist will give you the affordable generic brands of ACTs. These generic brands are effective as well as affordable. Most of them cost between N2k and N3k. You should have gone for that since you can't afford Coartem which is the innovator brand like the Rolls Royce of Arthemether Lumefantrine ACT. Same way you can get some generic antihypertensive medicine brands for N1,500, another brand of same medicine can be as high as N20k!

You go "do pass yourself " and out of ignorance want to place the blame on someone else.

Next time you get to the Pharmacy, tell the Pharmacist that you are not rich and you cannot afford exotic innovative brands.
Do not go there and form to impress the beautiful Pharmacist. You are not rich! Simple wink
Oga, all this grammar... Coartem was N3,500 in 2023 while all the other so called generic you talked about was just N500.

What APC did in 2022, does it look like a primary? Imagine people coming on stage to say I'm stepping down for Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the day of the primary election? All his cronies entered into the race and disrupted the process just because of money and bias; and we couldn't get a credible candidate? Imagine the dollar scenario for delegates in PDP, Wike sharing money and dollars for votes? That's preposterous. Until our electoral processes are sanitized, primary elections are mostly to the highest bidders and the nation is denied credible candidates because of money. Imagine if we had a contest between Obi and Prof in 2023, what glorious days would have lay ahead for Nigeria. But they rigged them out during primaries. We won't allow that. Our law doesn't allow for independent candidates too. See the primary proceed of the American election? There are debates, talks, cacus meetings, all these are well televised. We know how much each candidate is raising and spending.

Giringory is the most manufactured and propped up politician crafted by Social media mass pychosis engineering.

Honestly, Tinubu's team is doing their best in these hard times , defending the naira like this isn't unusual; even advanced economies like japan and china actively intervene to stabilise their currencies. It's all about buying time while deeper economic reforms kick in.

We are getting there...
Are you consoling me or you? Nobody asked if they are doing well or not. We only know that Naira was N460 when he came into office. Now it's N1,600. That's over 250% decline in value. What else is there to defend? We thought that by the removal of subsidy, we will have enough money and forex will be boosted and we won't have to devalue but that was all a lie. We are not getting there. Contrary to what you said, we are very far. Until this government becomes serious about governing, elimination of waste, fraud and abuse. Until he cuts down the size for government and stop flying up and down the country like someone that's homeless, we will continue this way.
