By Angela Nkwo-Akpolu Fuel scarcity has hit Owerri, capital of Imo State following the refusal of oil marketers to dispense the product to customers. This is even as the state government has described the action as illegal and suspicious. On Monday evening, fuel stations were locked up, an action many thought would be cleared by yesterday. However, the queues have resurfaced even as residents have resorted to carrying jerry cans in search of fuel. Sources told LEADERSHIP that the strike by oil marketers was as a result of the alleged refusal of the state government to obey a court judgement on payment of compensation to their member whose filling station at Orlu was demolished by the Senator Rochas Okorocha’s administration. Already the information commissioner, Hon Declan Emelumba in a statement maintained that the action was suspicious as the judgement was hidden and neither was any form of dialogue established with the Governor Hope Uzodimma-led administration. Emelumba said, “The petroleum marketers have made desperate efforts to hoodwink tanker drivers to stop the supply of petroleum products to the state by midnight of Monday August 23rd, obviously using the influence of the affected member who was once a tanker driver himself. Why should the marketers succumb to involving the Petroleum and Natural Gas Association of Nigeria (PENGASAN), in a local affair that has nothing to do with that association? This clearly suggests that there are other motives behind the planned strike. The petroleum marketers must therefore be mindful of being dragged into a strike they do not know its full motive”. According to him, the judgement has already been appealed against by the state government adding that the strike action amounts to self-help, which is totally illegal, by law. He said, “Having submitted himself to the rule of law, the affected person ought to wait for the ruling of the higher court before proceeding on any further action. It therefore goes without saying that the planned strike action by petroleum marketers in Imo State is prejudicial to the extant case and therefore subjudice”. The information commissioner stated that the strike action is an affront to the law even as he regretted that the timing was wrong. Meanwhile, the government has admonished those planning the strike to respect the law in the interest of peace and economic wellbeing of the people. https://www.leadership.ng/fuel-scarcity-imo-govt-protests-as-marketers-refuse-to-sell/

Cristiano Ronaldo reached another famous landmark as his two penalties against France took him to 109 international goals, a joint world record for men's football. Ali Daei, who scored 109 goals for Iran between 1993 and 2006, and Ronaldo are the only two male players to score 90 or more international goals. This is the latest landmark to push the argument for the 36-year-old Portugal player to be considered an all-time great. He is already the top scorer in club football's top tournament, the European Cup/Champions League, a trophy he has won five times. Against France he became the top European scorer in men's major tournaments with 20 goals across Euros and World Cups. He also became the top scorer in European Championship history against Hungary on Tuesday, 15 June and his tally is up to 13 now. He is the top scorer in World Cups and European Championships combined, overtaking Miroslav Klose's record of 19. How his international goals have come. What tournaments have they come in? 31 - European Championship qualifiers 31 - World Cup qualifiers 19 - International friendlies 13 - European Championship 7 - World Cups 5 - Uefa Nations League 2 - Confederations Cup Almost half of Cristiano Ronaldo's goals have come in the final 30 minutes of games. Without even realizing it, some men are slowly destroying themselves. Men are capable of doing things that endanger their lives. If you’re a guy and you’re still doing any of these things, please stop doing them because they’re dangerous. I see some men do these things daily, and I’m not sure if they realize how bad they are. These dangerous activities have become second nature to some men. Some of these things, as well as their sources and consequences, will be discussed in this paper. The reality is that some people are unaware of the dangers and consequences of doing such things alone. So, if you’re a guy and you’re still doing the following five things, you’re slowly killing yourself. *1. Smoking weed/cigarettes.* Smokers are more likely to die young. You are slowly killing yourself if you smoke so many cigarettes. Please refrain from using tobacco and, if at all possible, quit smoking. Smoking alone has the potential to harm vital organs such as the liver, lungs, and, most notably, the heart. Smoking should be avoided as much as possible because it finally dies without leaving any trace. 2. Taking too many alcoholic drinks. In contrast to women, men are thought to consume a lot of alcoholic drinks. Are you aware of the reasons why women outlive men? This is because they rarely consume alcoholic drinks. Beer and other alcoholic drinks are not bad, so please limit your consumption to at least twice a week. ‘ Our bodies don’t do a great job of absorbing alcohol. The brew is one of the most widely consumed beverages on the planet. It doesn’t have a lot of sugar, but it does have a lot of carbs that slowly transform into sugar. Beer is also thought to be high in calories, according to the research. As a man, you should avoid alcoholic drinks as well. 3. Gambling/ sports betting. Gambling is a dangerous thing to do. There will be no casinos or other forms of sports betting. Look for a new job or learn to do things by hand. If you don’t understand how gambling works, please stay away from it because it is addictive. I know a lot of people who have committed suicide as a result of gambling and are still trying to find a way out. 4. Too much intake of sugar, and sweet food. Sugar is not good for the body’s composition. Our bodies aren’t very good at extracting a lot of sugar. Stop eating or drinking anything that contains a lot of sugar. Sugar isn’t necessarily bad, but it should be consumed in moderation to avoid diabetes and weight gain. Too much sugar is unhealthy and will eventually kill you. 5. Investing a lot of money in a woman you’re not married to. Before you spend a lot of money on her, make her your partner. There’s a chance she’ll leave you if you don’t marry her by spending a lot of money on her. If you don’t want to be miserable for the rest of your life, don’t spend a lot of money on her. You’re slowly killing yourself if you do this. Let us know your thoughts and opinions by sharing them with us in the comment box below |
Even at this time bith BVN validation and Online Test, none of them is going through. So frustrating. Wish my kid sister will just let me be on this stuff. |

LucifersLight:lolz d laugh get as e be sha. |
GamalNasser:lolz fake prophets. |
Fake news and post election propaganda. CNN and it's cronies should rest abeg and stop all this over sensationalization. It seems Trump and his party still has some lifeline .The deluge of post election propaganda by mainstream anti Trump news media points to this. If they won fair and square then all this manipulation, hyping and watering down is not neccessary. Congrats to Biden and Kamala Harris anyway. They should focus more on transition plans and strategies. |
I have a feeling that OP is same person with RuudvanNisteroy. |

Oshigun:He can't do nothing to me both physically and spiritually. I don't fear you guys. Save the gospel for some other person.. |
LucifersLight:If true, then am so disappointed he had to do that. Why should he fear you or your empty threats? What are you feeling like right now, a demigod?? |
LucifersLight:Am so so afraid right now smh. Subtle threats won't work . Lodge that in the bank. Your agenda was exposed even before you unfolded it. |
Friends you see their agenda is slowly being revealed. More of his kind here have joined in proselytizing their new age doctrine gibberish. Pay them no heed. |
