Someone should inform the prof, that a people's cultural bent does not change, most definitely not the fundamentals of a culture, and certainly not in a space of a mere ten years!

In any case, if the prof would stick to that funny view or belief or claim, what happened to/where were these people of which he writes centuries before this "sudden burst of energy?" And what makes him (the prof) so sure that that "sudden burst of energy" would not soon wane/fade/out-developed, et cetera, thus allowing other ethnicity/nationalities to, in turn, "leapfrog" his own clan, so to speak?

Imo is an oil producing state and a member state of NDDC ,however IMO has only marginally producing wells towards the Egbema axis which shares the same boundary with Egbema in Rivers state (actually the same homogenous community divided due to the politics of oil in Nigeria).

My point is,even if the wells in your state are marginal,you would be recognised as an oil producing state.It was this reluctance to include Anambra as an oil producing state,coupled with politically/ethnically driven motives that delayed the exploration of gas and crude at Otuocha basin which has over 50bn cubic feet of proven natural gas reserves and crude.

I perfectly understand what you mean. I think the Isuama presence was felt mainly through the Isuama version of Igbo which was basically the Igbo spoken in southern Anambra and northern Imo. With the adoption of a new version of centralized Igbo came the decline of Isu awareness.

Abagworo: So it is widely accepted then that Idenmili speaks the most mutually intelligible indigenous dialect. Isuama is not an easy Igbo for any non-Isu. I will get some instances. It sounds similar to Ika in Delta State.

ChinenyeN: As I have already stated, go and have a talk with Isu people. Don't come to me, because that is not my claim. If you are looking to vent your high blood pressure issues, then vent them with the right people (Isu). Do not be foolish enough to point in my direction.
