If its list for exam or interview, does it mean they can't go one with exam and interview while they wait for the fund? If its list for training, then I want to ask if its possible just to shortlisted directly to training without exam or interview. Although this might be posible if it were to be a replacement exercise... Is it possible in a massive recruitment? Unless u are refering to the families of the dead victims and the injured...

I have been following some government jobs for sometime now, why do these govt jobs take very long to conclude? Although I still hear rumors that people get employed secretly everyday into these govt agencies but the ones that are made public are left just like that...
I think one big achievement a Senator can do now is to sponsor a bill that will give a time limit to recruitments into govt agencies... Like say for 3months... Even the 6weeks given for application process into these agencies is too much for me, yet after the 6weeks we still wait forever before hearing from them...
This has made me to start thinking if the govt is really concerned about unemployment in Nigeria. We know they can't employ everybody, but when they start a process, they shud be fast in concluding it so that the unsuccessful ones will take their minds out of it...
Let me take NIS as an instance, this job was advertised Sept 2013, we only heard from them March 2014, that was 7months, the exam was not properly conducted, was cancelled and a committee was appointed to oversee a fresh one, since march still one is 5months, put together is 12months which is one year, yet it hasn't even started and we haven't heard anything. All the Minister and the CG have come out to say is that the committee will SOON complete its assignment... Why haven't we hear from the committee itself or from our beloved President who gave the deadline. However, this delay is not for NIS alone, this have been happening in all govt parastatals since time immemorial...
Please my fellow Nairalanders, what could be the causes of these delays... Is 3months not enough to determine the best candidates for vacancies?
I wish the National Assembly will come up with such idea and put a limit to the time a recruitment should take, it will do us a lot of good, so when we apply, we will know when we are getting the job or letting it go...

I sincerely thank everybody so far, it has been an interesting house, although our expectations are yet to come through but I have a very strong believe that it will never be cut short...
However, whoever that is scared of criticism, and for that reason decided to hoard info, should shove it down his or her throat... From time immemorial criticisms has been a source and pressure for developing a more sophisticated knowledge. In our case, criticism will open our eyes and enable us inquire and search deeper next time before making our findings public...
There is no doubt that we have all learnt from this tread. Lawal, Ibro2star, Emmaclue, Nonso and others, I didn't criticise your info for no just reasons, just that it lacked logic and I have been vindicated so far because none of the info that have been dropped so far have come to pass...
In summary, whoever has an info should be free to drop, for all you know, with the reactions and criticism you might get from this tread, you may be saving yourself from scammers and learning more...

Dis one won't be lyk dat by God's grace. Dat NNPC job, d certs dat are to b scanned were many nd millions applied nd thru d internet, dat wud take years to process abeg, b4 dey download d uploaded docs nd view dem... Nawa o, nobody does dat type of application dis days. I guess it was dsame tin dat hapend to FCSC 2013, many applied via d internet nd scanned many docs too, y odas did hard copy application... And it was for many ministries... Hence, d delay nd notin was even heard about dat one.

And rber, after d NIS wahala, d President gave a directive dat no agency shud undago such recruitment again or face d consequence, it mins no agency shud invite a very large numba in one place just to select a very few, thereby endangerin d lives of oda dat may not b successful...
