Freeglobe, aka ekafine. You are obviously one heck of a jobless human being. cheesy. At least I don nab you with no less than 4 different handles. Smh. You are so jobless that you post with one handle and use your other handles to like that post, all for what? Look, you people are free to celebrate Awka by showing the flattering parts ofso f the city. No problem. But bear in mind that some of us are also aware of the some ..well.. not so flattering parts of the same Awka, as can be said for any other state in Nigeria.

It is not my intention to derail this thread so I'll stop here. You can switch back to your other moniker now. cheesy "Ekafine" grin grin grin

just because my opinion is in contrast to what your saying doesn't make me less igbo man than you are. Above all things, I wish that my Igbo tribe better all other tribe in Nigeria put together and I won't do that by singing praises on mediocrity. Have you seen the Kano flyover or the estate that guy posted the pictures anywhere around Igboland. It's sad that we choose to blame others for what we should do ourselves. Imagine Obiano giving using that money he's spending on those flyovers on building power stations for Onitsha and nnewi. He will not need to ask investors to rush down to develop awka but the rich business men and manufacturers in those two towns will make Awka and it's environs the millionaires city. All he will need to do is to get a plan for the development so we will not end up with a city like that you posted the picture with brown roofs. Believe me, no state in Nigeria or even Africa can boast of the number of self made billionaires and millionaires. Those guys just need government support to turn anambra to what it should be. So when any government begins to tell us he's show us flyovers as it's signature or capital infrastructure then it's written and well known that the government is lying simple
[/s]

i am not from anambra but when i see good thing i don't fail to commend it. I was very serious when i request buhari to ban anambra from further taking part in the school debates because each time it must be anambra that must win. so i got tired and decided to push for their removal from any school competition. development is development whether it is flyover infrastructure or power infrastructure, at the end of the day it serves the same purpose..making life good. from you comment you are not from anambra and you are very bitter about the development going on there. your likes will start talking about flyover if the governor were to start power plant, stop hating. from what i have seen so far in anambra, it is a beautiful state with a focused governor that is building worldclass infrastructures that i have only seen in my akwaibom. anambra ayaya

There's no single place you will see such in the whole of nnewi. I live in nnewi and let anyone of those paid agents show me a single development here. The ssopping mall started by the former governor is more than two years now yet no completion all we see are chinese smoking their cigrates every morning
keep deceiving yourself claiming where you are not from. yorrobberland needs rebirth to start looking like where humans exist as seen in the SS and SE. There should be marshal plan to demolish the entire yorrobberland. lagos exempted because it is not a yorrobber land but no man's land.

LOL. Guy, leave them to celebrate their modest gains. Just one estate for Arepo in Ogun state will make that single estate they keep showing from different angles (and indeed the entire estates in the SE) look like a village smiley. Even in Ibadan sef, the kind modern apartments wey dey liter the landscape pass anything wey dem dey jubilate over. Just allow them, pls.
Why are you guys so dumb? Is that supposed to be Ogun state or pictures from the internet? Show us real life situation of homes in Ogun state where ordinary people are living. Now show me frrom this skyline of Ogun state where that picture you posted are, because the last time i checked there is only rustic roofs and mud houses in ogun state. below is even the capital of ogun state grin

PoliticsRe: "Ohakim Gave Me $2.29m Cash To Buy Abuja Mansion" - Witness by ekafine(f): 6:19am On Dec 08, 2015
I think Rochas is even worse than this man sef. Presently imo state is in financial ruins.
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by ekafine(f): 6:15am On Dec 08, 2015
I thought I needed to share this here for deliberation. imo gov ruined the state, the present gov is doing even worse.

The ongoing trial of former governor of Imo state, Mr. Ikedi Ohakim may have taken a new turn as a star witness of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC), Mr. Abu Sule, yesterday, narrated before the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, how Ohakim gave him $2.29millon at night to help him acquire a mansion in Abuja. The witness is the Managing Director of Tweenex Consciates Limited, a company EFCC is insisting was used by Ohakim to launder funds that were allegedly stolen from the Imo state treasury.

According to the witness, Ohakim had approached him with the intention to buy a choice property in Abuja and it was while on a search mission he discovered that a mansion situated at No. 60, Kwame Nkrumah Street, Asokoro , was put up for sale by the owner, one Alhaji Muktari Isah MaiDebino , for a price of N270million.

In his words, the witness said: “I quickly informed Chief Ohakim about the house and the price it was going for. He asked me to come for the money. When I got there, he gave me the the dollar equivalent of the money. He gave me $2.29m in cash. I collected the money from him at the Imo State governor’s lodge in Asokoro, at night. The money was paid in one tranche.

“The following day I called Alhaji Muktari Maidebino and we met at Unity Bank in Maitama were he collected the money and handed over the documents of the house. He used the money to offset a loan he collected from the bank where he retrieved the documents. My lord, when I collected the original title deeds, I informed Chief Ohakim. After a bit of delay, he said I should use my companies two names for the Deed of Assignment and Power of Attorney.

“Because he has been my benefactor, I went ahead and did the documents as he requested. The house was never given to me as a gift. I handed the originals of the documents to Chief Ohakim even though I kept the photocopies. I was the one that signed the documents. After we perfected the purchase, we used about one and half years to renovate the house, after which we handed it over to him in 2012”. The witness further told the court that Ohakim on parking into the mansion, persuaded him to prepare a tenancy agreement to make it look like he(Ohakim) rented the mansion from Tweenex Consciates Limited.

Thanks for all who are trying to revive this thread.

Please one thing the governor needs to improve on is sanitation.
Some parts of Enugu are simply neglected when it comes to road sweeping.

I wonder why Agbani road cannot be swept daily down to Gariki park. That place is also an entry point into Enugu and always looks very unkempt. It just says welcome to a dirty city.

Even mkpokiti road has heaps of dust dotting the roadside.
I wonder what it takes to sweep these roads.
It is not enough to sweep only highbrow areas. It really pains me to see those heap of dusts, it literally tips me into depression and tells me welcome to Nigeria a land where the most basic and cheapest of chores are taken for granted.

Gburugburu biko dododo, ayiyo ka'm n'ayo gi debee Enugu Ocha. You can employ cheap Labour to sweep ALL major streets and dual carriageways. A dirty street doesnt count.
It is not enough to dispose of the dumpsters the streets MUST BE SWEPT TOO DAILY.

There is something about an unswept city road it just reeks of neglect. Take a drive from Gariki down Agbani road and look at the roadsides it is an eyesore. It shouldn't be so, this is 2015 no city is taken serious if basic things like this cannot be solved.

Meanwhile I hope the government will also do some Christmas decorations. They can take it up a notch this year by laying emphasis on entrance/exit points into the city not just the traditional routes.

Before you all say no money. The decoration can be done in moderation.
A clean city makes for good psychological wellness.

Enugu is a very dirty dusty town. The only thing I saw there was poor residents that littered the whole place. All those people you mentioned may have rentable house in enugu for The poor residents but they cant stay in such dry empty town that has no economic value to anybody. Ph has more elites like lagos and abujs. Enugu don't even have common water because I saw them getting water from a hole inside ground. At least ph has proper borehole system than that crap. There is no elite in that poo hole called enugu stop deceiving yourself. The town is very dirty and poor as well. Enugu is best for keeping sick elderly people because the place is dry and non productive. You cannot find a productive person in that town I saw. Rural areas in enugu are worse because they are built with huts.stop deceiving the public here becos I will continue to burst ur bubble.lol

If you disagree, it's nothing but your opinion which you are entitled to.
yes enugu is the oldest in the SE but it is now the least because it has remained the same place since it was created. There is nothing new except that it is getting old. igboetiti is in enugu state. most of the villages will passed to that place is very rural with little or no development. my assessment of Enugu state is a state that its growth has stopped. A state that does not have any attraction either economic or otherwise. come to Rivers and see your enugu state people selling gala on th traffic and doing all sorts of menial jobs, why don't they stay in your so called enugu.
