RomanceWhy Do We Stop Looking Forward To Sex? by eke419(op): 4:53pm On Nov 09, 2014
When we fall in love, we can't wait to get in bed with our man, right? Why does that drop off?
I went to my psych teacher who helped with my new ideas about people and sex. I told her that I wanted to interview women about how their men introduce sex, and then write a paper. I wondered why women seemed to adore sex early on in a relationship, and then find themselves less interested as time went on. People assume that it is something about women and sex, but I suspected it had to do with the relationship, too. I mean, really, sex feels good. So why would someone lose interest? My teacher agreed to give me independent study credit for it.

PoliticsWas Nigeria's Government Hoodwinked Over Boko Haram 'truce'? Why Didn't Our ... by eke419(op): 9:57am On Nov 09, 2014
On Friday, October 17, Alex Badeh, Nigeria's most senior military official, announced in the Nigerian capital Abuja that "a ceasefire agreement has been concluded" with the terrorist group Boko Haram.

"I have accordingly directed the [military] chiefs to ensure immediate compliance with this development in the field," he said.

Now, more than three weeks later, there's nothing to suggest that Boko Haram is keen on peace. A video released on November 1 shows a man believed to be sect leader Abubakar Shekau denouncing the so-called deal and vowing to continue the campaign of terror. The abducted girls, Shekau taunts, "are in their marital homes." The sect has also continued to attack and capture towns and villages in the north east -- including, a week ago, Air Marshal Badeh's home town.

More than one government official followed up with claims that the release of the more than 200 schoolgirls abducted in April was one of the concessions extracted from the terrorist group as part of the truce.

Recent history -- a long line of failed attempts to negotiate with, or pacify, Boko Haram -- should have inspired some wariness on the part of the government.

PoliticsTrial Of Extradicted Nigerian, Jerry Okafor, Begins In London by eke419(op): 9:02pm On Nov 08, 2014
The trial of Jeffery Okafor, the 23-year old Nigerian arrested in Asaba in September for the murder of a teenage university student, commenced in London Friday.
Mr. Okafor was extradited to London and handed over to prosecutors in the case on Thursday, November 6, icirnigeri.org can authoritatively report.

An officer of the Homicide and Major Crime Command of the British Police, who does not want to be named, confirmed to our reporter on Friday morning that Mr. Okafor was charged before a Croydon Magistrate Court for murder early Friday.
According to the source, since the magistrate court does not have the competence to try a murder case, the matter is expected to be transferred to a higher court in the following days. The higher court will determine when Mr. Okafor’s trial will start and whether he should be held in custody until his trial proper commences.
