Zandena:Tinubu will fall short of the 25% in 2/3rd states.....Only Atiku is guaranteed to scale that hurdle with ease...Read my post here on nairaland |

24/2/23 Here are my profound thoughts on the Presidential elections to be held tomorrow BOLA TINUBU Very interesting profile with several protégés, acclaimed track records of men. National leader of the APC. But you see, my question for several months is – how will he get the required 25% in 2/3rds of 36 states. It’s too glaring he will not do well in the South-South and South East His home base, do not give block votes, asides from that let me also remind you that PDP is strong in Oyo, Osun, Ogun and will also put up a good showing in Ondo and Ekiti South West votes are up for grabs as his major contestants would share the votes with him, and he would be the 3rd option for the very much needed votes in the North – With Atiku and Kwankwaso on the ballot, the talk of it being an advantage to Tinubu is an irrational thought. NOT EXPECTED TO DO WELL IN – ABIA, ANAMBRA, EBONYI, IMO, ENUGU, BAYELSA, AKWA IBOM, DELTA, RIVERS, PLATEAU, BENUE, TARABA as well some others ****He also loses significant votes of Southern Christians as well Yorubas are the most balanced in terms of Religion and Education, however Islam is definitely not the majority in Yorubaland. PETER OBI The reigning sensation who has added so much spice to this race, giving it more suspense from the usual 2 horse race.Despite his late entry, he has truly changed the dynamics and given us something to look forward to. He would do very well in his homebase, the South East. Voters turnout is expected to be significant for him but then with no doubt he is expected to do well in the South, it’s the base of Christians and he is the only major contender who is Christian, but then his shortcoming is likely to be from the North. His deputy is not so much popular though, hence this translates to limited advantage ATIKU ABUBAKAR Former Vice President, Seasoned Contestant The regular talk is that PDP is split and weaker, G5….in my opinion is G1 Where he will not win, at best he stands a very good chance to pick 2nd and that’s why I truly rate his chances as high. He would do well in the core North, being a liberal Muslim. He would still do well in the South as well as the traditional PDP states where Peter Obi is expected to win. His least votes are coming from the South West, they do not even given block votes and once again I repeat – PDP is strong in Osun, Oyo, Ogun……and fair in Ekiti and Ondo He will have no problems meeting the 25% requirement which I expect to be a hurdle to his other 2 main contenders KWAKWANSO Regional Candidate, just to test run his Northern base and experiment his version of why Buhari was never president until the APC alliance with notable southern politicians. Only expected to do well in the North West, especially Kano, which makes APC’s chances really worse off. A candidate with no Southern spread, of course not a ‘serious’ contender just an attention seeker and nothing more. ****** Vote-Buying would have guaranteed APC 25% in South Eastern And South South States, where they have some bit of recognition such as Imo, Ebonyi, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta El Rufai’s rage is overwhelming expression of fear, APC’s Oxygen was cut off with utmost brutality Ganduje, always has never had much to offer – If Tinubu loses, Ganduje will be forgotten as well for good. Yahaya Bello and Matwalle also took the President to Court of the Naira Redesign, but stayed quiet in the background unlike El Rufai. Nyesom Wike really did make a folly of the entire situation, not being able to announce his candidate public literally was a big shame for the rash governor. Dapo Abiodun who wasn’t a clear winner in the last election had 4 years to make a good impression but didn't, his major contenders are on a joint ticket on the most formidable opposition ticket. There is only one easily predictable outcome, He is a sure loser in the next Gubernatorial election of Ogun State. ***BOLA TINUBU MIGHT NOT LIKELY TO BE PRESIDENT, He stands a chance irrespective I do expect a Run off, and if we have one – Its between Peter Obi and Atiku If Atiku wins, the good idea is that easily Peter Obi will be the next President to succeed him I do not have a candidate just deep-seated interest in Analysis and Outcomes of this presidential election. To be continued (Not Copied, My very own thought) C.I.A
