European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Which Goalkeeper Can Stop Balotelli's Penalty? by Eklektika(op): 3:02am On Sep 16, 2013
JMOI: If you are talking about Balotelli scoring about 15 out of 15, what will you say about Rickie Lambert who has scored 32 penalties out of 32 for Southampton? That is what I call perfection. But that's not how the best penalty taker is determined. Afterall Lampard is still the designated penalty taker for England in a squad that has the likes of Rickie Lambert and Steven Gerrard.
Matt Le Tissier-48 scored out of 49 taken.
Rickie Lambert-31 scored out 31 taken.
Mario Balotelli-26 scored out of 26 taken.

What stands Mario out is that he converts penalties in the last minute of pressure-cooker,high-stake,high-profile games.
Not discrediting Rickie Lambert, but most of his penalties have been against lesser quality opposition and under far less pressure. And he's older than Balotelli.(Lambert's DOB-16 Feb 82)

Which Goalkeeper currently in world football can beat Mario in the penalty mind games and suceed in saving his spot kick?

dont8: Check this out, this penalty is the last kick of the match and the only opportunty to avoid defeat in the hand of Torino

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9MJR8BOjTk

He's a wizard
That's my point! The guy is way too confident,a tad too arrogant when it comes to taking penalties. At Inter,he had to be restrained from snatching the ball from Javier Zanetti, the team's designated penalty taker. He is a psychological giant, master of the mind games. Which goalkeeper can beat him at the mind game battle? Remember the Dortmund keeper in last season's UCL who tried to psyche him out by whispering in his ear that he'll lose a last-minute penalty. He calmly ran up and slotted the last-minute,ran and picked the ball from the net. While running back,he turned to the keeper, gestured with his hand to his mouth as if to say;you talk too much.

Very smart answer,my guy! But who do you think can/would break his incredible run of consistently scoring from the penalty spot?

bigtt76: Dele Ayienugba ....wonder where he is now sef. Very good penalty kick stopper with Enyimba. He is always brought in during matches that enters to that stage.
Dele Aiyenugba used to be good but no where as good as Gigi Buffon,Iker Casillas,Joe Hart and Petr Cech, elite keepers who have all at one time or the other conceded penalties to the Ghanaian Born Italian Striker.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Which Goalkeeper Can Stop Balotelli's Penalty? by Eklektika(op): 3:55pm On Sep 14, 2013
JMOI: FYI, Lampard is considered to be the best penalty taker in the history of football after Graham Le Tissier, who missed only one spot kick in over 49 attempts!
Matt Le Tissier, not Graham Le Tissier. Frank Lampard comes no where near Mario Balotelli's impeccable penalty spot record. Remember that Lampard has lost a number of penalties for both club and country and in high-profile games too.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Which Goalkeeper Can Stop Balotelli's Penalty? by Eklektika(op): 3:49pm On Sep 14, 2013
JMOI: He's a good penalty taker, but Lampard's statistics dwarf his.
According to statistics,Mario Balotelli stands at par with arguably the greatest 12-yarder of all-time-Matt Le Tissier who remains a cult figure at Southampton where he played out his entire football career. Le Tissier scored 47 penalties out a total of 48 career international penalties.
Frank Lampard has missed far too many penalties in his international career to be considered a legend of the penalty spot. He lost crucial penalties in the Champions League as well as in Euro 2004 and Germany 2006.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Which Goalkeeper Can Stop Balotelli's Penalty? by Eklektika(op): 2:38am On Sep 14, 2013
Its an amazing statistic-20 penalties scored, none missed. For a player whose talent has never been in doubt, this oft-overlooked ability from 12 yards is sure one of those skills in his repetoire that has left many fans and analysts alike scratching their heads for an explanation. As Mario Balotelli lined up to take a spotkick against the Czech shot stopper,Petr Cech, one of the finest keepers of his generation, not even the most brave fan with the wealth of a Russian Bilionaire would bet against Balotelli scoring. And score he did. Joe Hart, his former teammate at Manchester City admitted that in his two and a half season stay,he only saved Balotelli's penalty once in training! Bring on the last-minute pressure of tension-soaking encounters(Man City v Tottenham and Man City v Borussia Dortmund to mention but two),he steps up and tucks the ball away with aplomb. Its no secret that he's the master of psychology of penalty kicks. So,who do you think would break Balotelli's incredible run of scoring from the spot? Buffon(Milan v Juve)?
Casillas(Italy v Spain)?
Enyeama(Nigeria v Italy)?
Lloris(France v Italy)?
Hart(England v Italy)?
Cesar(Brasil v Italy)?
Neur(Germany v Italy)?
Valdez(Barcelona v Milan)?
De Gea(Man Utd v Milan)?
Or any other keeper?

I remember the ignominy and stigma that followed Nigeria in African Club Football scene before 2003. For 38 years,no Nigerian Clubside had ever won Africa's premier club competition,African Cup of Champions Cup now known as CAF Champions League. Enyimba FC of Aba broke that jinx in 2003 and since then they have become a country and continental heavyweight. For that feat, they hold a place in my heart as my favorite Nigerian Clubside. I do hope Enyimba beats Warri Wolves on Sunday and go ahead and do the double by winning the Glo Premier League. I'm rooting for the People's Elephant-Nzogbu Nzogbu Enyimba Enyi!

In as much as it is never nice to gloat over another man's demise, yet I cant help but take a dig at the deceased and his ilk who are still alive. For the band of men masking as leaders, the impunity with which they've pillaged and plundered this country's resources is a case-study that world renowned psychologists would find almost impossible to explain. The deceased was a multiple term Governor of an oil-producing state, party stalwart and former minister of power and steel;a position that ensured that he was part of the band of men who squandered $16bn to fix the ailing power sector. One hopes that fate/nature/GOD would eliminate these men who have raped this country into a state so bad that political euthanasia is the only option left for this country.

An educated enlightened foreign woman will not put up with half of the things Nigerian men do to their wives.(serial cheating, emotional and physical abuse, bullying, controlling). She would have divorced you and collected half of your money before you even know what is happening.
And that is why the Educated Foreign Women, your ilk, would remain a serial divorcee, with the deep emotional scars, tumbling in and out doomed-to-fail relationship, progressively becoming cougars like Demi Moore,Kate Henshaw. Say me hi to Aunty Grace Egbagbe.

plaetton: Surely you are entitled to your opinion.
I have read it twice and still trying to figure what it has to do with my own post.

You could have made your own post without refering to mine.
You made no attempt to point out where I erred in order to repudiate or contradict my points.
You were just looking for an excuse to bash men.
It's a free world.

I do not see where my post attacked the op.
Even though it was addressed to the op, I was just giving my own opinion like everyone else.

If you think my post agrees with the op's post, then why are you attacking me? shocked

I wish you could point out and correct the falsehoods in my post.

Having said that, I should just move on, but then again, you made so many unforgivable falshoods in your post that it would be negligent to let them pass without a through repudiation.

For your information, there is no civilization in history where there were np difference between leaders and the led.
And for the ill-educated mind, Africa is not backwards because of our Family structures and heirachy.
That is a very silly assertion from a half-baked mind.

In fact, our family structures is our greatest source of strength and remains our only salvation for self-renewal and identity.

And also, for your selective amnesia or rather arrogant ignorance, African is also not unique in the social units where the man is at the head.
Even the Europeans, up until the last few decades had rigid male dominated social units, and many European countries still do.

And what would you say of the male dominated societies of the Asians or the Arabs, even the jews?

I can make a very strong argument that the modern ambiguation of gender-specific roles in the family is 100% responsible for the breakdown in the family unit, values and social cohesion. Your European and American foster nations have an astronomically high incidences of divorce and fragmented family units. They have even gone as far redefining the institution of marriage.

So what nonsense are you talking about?.

So please, stop talking out of complex ignorance(the worst type there is) and educate yourself properly.

In every ship, there must be a captain. In any army there must be a commander. In any society or organization there must be a hierachy of leadership.
Why should the family unit be an exception?

I am by no means a male chauvanist.
My point is that anyone, man or woman who neglects or decides to abdicate their natural gender-specific roles will suffer conflict and breakdown in the family unit.
Period.

Solozzo: Indeed more than enough evidence in the bible to support the fact that mainstream Christianity underrate women. However gnostic Christianity has revealed that men and women equally have the divine spark of God and are mates that the creation of eve helped to awake Adam from the daze of ignorance and forgetfulness.

In gnostic writings eg Gospel of Thomas, Gospel of Mary and the secret book of John. In them Peter representing mainstream Christianity has always put Mary down. The gnostics revealed Mary was one of the disciples of Christ ie Mary Magdalene, she received some inner spiritual information the other disciples did not get. Her responses to questions and comments in teaching sessions with christ were superior to the other disciples and that's why christ loved her more. Just like some ladies did better than some men in university classes.

Furthermore Eve helped Adam to receive the power of knowing good and evil by accepting the snake's advice in genesis. Without eating this fruit man would have remained a naked ape with no technology as intended by The Lord.. Even the Lord god knew his game was up when he said ''behold man has become like one of us knowing good and evil'. In anger he cursed the couple, the snake and the earth and prevented man from reaching the tree of life. But thanks to wisdom, man had coped well over the centuries and getting more knowledge of good and evil ie science, democracy, justice and good will.
gnostic this, gospel of mary that. See as you don enter 1 chance! I pity you! All these books you are quoting are occultic books meant to water down the Greatest Book Ever Written. The Bible is Homogenous,Indivisible, and a Compendium. It is GOD in Written form. (A)Gnostic are a group of occultists not disimilar to eckankar and grail message.
Na this kind mindset wey una get,na im cause the fall in the Garden of Eden. That is what is fueling the worship of the queen of heaven in the catholic church. That is what has lead to the peaking of divorce in the west. That is what has led to the debasement of family system, breaking the moral backbone of the society. That is why the church today is termed a LovePeddler and a harlot, because she refused to keep her place. The Man is the head, the Woman is the neck. When the neck says she wants to be side by side with the head, you know what that would bring? CHAOS!

[quote author=Okija_juju]Whats a lie about this?!

According to Apostle Paul..

I Cor. 11 – 8 “A Man is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man: for neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ: and the head of the woman is the man: and the head of Christ is God.”

And whats a Lie about this?!

Titus 2:5

5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

Okay... So are you calling brother Timothy a Lair?! angry

1 Timothy 2:12 ESV
I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.

1 Cor. 11:7-10

"For a man ought not to have his head covered, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. 8 For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man; 9 for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake. 10 Therefore the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels."

1 Corinthians 11:3

Ephesians 5:23

5 For this reason I left you in aCrete, that you would set in order what remains and bappoint celders in every city as I directed you,

6 namely, aif any man is above reproach, the bhusband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of cdissipation or drebellion.

7 For the 1aoverseer must be above reproach as bGod’s steward, not cself-willed, not quick-tempered, not daddicted to wine, not pugnacious, enot fond of sordid gain,

1 Tim. 2:12-14

"But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. 13 For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve. 14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being quite deceived, fell into transgression."

2 Corinthians 11:3

3 But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

I am not a man,so am speaking from a woman's point of view.No good woman will take your help for granted like some egomaniacs will argue. These are the things my hubby do to help me and one of the many reasons I respect him very much,Inflated ego makes a man foolish.I cannot consider a live in help, you can get a daily house keeper that ll help her under her watch if you really need help that much.Your wife should be strong too to take care of her responsilities, because answering Mrs comes with its own stress.
Thanks jare. I gbadun your comments. I'm very domesticated,so any lady that I'll marry tomorrow go enjoy. At least,if my helping in the house would stave off the advent of househelps to my house,I would not mind folding my sleeves and helping out Madam.

One of my aunt's maid lost her father which derailed her education and another one was an orphan and had to work for another aunt of mine before her grandmother had the wisdom of withdrawing her to the village to go to school . Treat them well and if you cant or they prove annoying and unreliable, send them packing. There is no crime in being a housegirl.
My Mum are akop usem o! Just in case you think I'm one insensitive dude. I've lived in the ghetto and I see what these house helps can do and undo. Some also undergo very severe and harsh treatment from their guardians. All I'm saying is that they should not be hired so as give room for them to be bad or to be treated badly. I think women these days are very lazy. They want to paint their fingers and toes, sit down on the setee and be entertained by Africa Magic while ordering the unfortunate househelp to do every conceivable chore in the home. Yet they have all the gadgets like washing machine, toaster, hot plate, microwave etc at their disposal. I still remember the Napkins that was used for My Elder Sister and I are still in my Mum's 'Epat Afong'(Box). They are still very white, not 'it was white'.I remember those days of Napisan and feeding bottle. Do you get my drift?

2goodbobo: First of is Conundrum and not Connundrum*

I find your post very offensive, degrading and racist. So been black in complexion by default makes one a dirty person? Between, is not all of them that are bad.

Simply because life is fair with you in terms of economic status does not mean you should talk down on other people. Your assertion is simply myopic and asinine.
Unfortunately, you completely misconstrued the context of my post. Thank you for correcting me. As for the post, I never insinuated overtly or covertly that black is dirty. My post was borne out of a general observation. I never said that ALL househelps are black and dirty. Not all are bad, agreed but most are devious and mischevious. It almost seems as though you have to have them. I lived with a number of them at home, observed their behaviour in other people's homes and left for me,I wouldnt want to have them in my house. Not because I'm 'racist' like you accused me of being but because of the the higher propensity of domestic risk they bring to the house. if they don't steal, they seduce the Oga. If they don't do that, they'll maltreat and even sexually abuse your children. I stay with my cousin here in Lagos and few weeks back, the daughter of about 4 years was caught with a cache of x-rated movies. On interrogation, she admitted that it was the houseboy living with them that gave it to her. So,abeg get me straight,ok?

Krasid: All through my childhood I did not like unripe plantain Today, I love it. My taste have changed through the years and I find I now like some of the foods that as a kid I did not. I still hate liver though.

How about you?. Has your taste changed? Do you now like a food you refused to eat as a child Or do you still not eat a food you hated then?

Air your thoughts. . . .
I hated Plantain porridge and would always avoid it like a plague but while I was working on my school project, I discovered that Plantain, especially the unripe roasted one is very good for reproductive health. See I come dey chop Boli anyhow. I just finish Boli naw naw.
I also used to hate Beans but now na Beans on demand.
I used to hate Moi Moi,eh! That stomach-churning smell,urgh!
But naw,I've learnt how to make Moin Moin and its very tasty.
I still hate Stew or Fried Eggs made with chopped Tomatoes! It has always made me throw up. Unless the Tomatoes are ground.
I used to like Fish head and Chicken head,eh! Especially the fried one but now I cant stand them.

PoliticsRe: AMCON Takes Over Ifeanyi Ubah's Capital Oil by Eklektika(m): 8:34pm On Aug 29, 2013
shortgun: Did I hear say an illiterate?

An illiterate who built a company from scratch to multi million million dollar corporation.
An illitrate who was selling kerosene at 50 naira per liter while other companies were selling the same product for 150 naira.

Is capital oil the only company that is in debt in this country?
That guy,Ifeanyi Uba,is a criminal,a typical Nigerian business opportunist. He was a beneficiary of shady business deals. His problems started when he decided to con Coscharis in a business deal. And he was arrogant about it. He boasted to Coscharis that he was untouchable as he knew a lot of top people in the high places who would shield him from prosecution. Even when it was obvious that he was owing Coscharis,he still maintained a brazen and opulently lavish lifestyle. I don't pity him one bit. His 'travails' are self-inflicted. Anambra would be back to the dark ages if that dude wins the gubanetorial elections. The state would literarily be placed on a tray and hawked for the next four years!
