The Fulanis are not terrorists; they are just herdsmen trying to make both ends meet like every other Nigerian. Except that they have the exclusive right to take any life, anywhere, any time; and they don't give a damn! |
Not a few people - Nigerians and non-Nigerians alike - have been reacting to the recent global ranking of the Nigeria Police - the worst in the world! Some have reacted rather too negatively, while some sit on the fence; yet others try, albeit, rather unconvincingly, to 'launder' the image of the national security outfit. Whichever side of the divide anyone chooses to belong, it remains their opinion. What cannot be detracted from, however, is the fact of the case at hand. You cannot detract from the fact that it's an indirect blanket verdict against the Nigerian state. What on earth, any reasonable thinker would ask, is a country to boast of if its law-and-order/internal security aparatchik is so 'mangled'? It appears a fact that, while the country boasts of the worst police force globally, it can also boast of having some of the worst criminals on earth! Where the worst police force is on ground to combat the worst criminals, the worst result will be produced to make the country the worst, in toto! |
THIS NEWS GOT ME THINKING: 1. 21,000 teachers sacked in a single state that certainly is in dire need of teachers for its ever-growing schools population? 2. The sacked teachers could not pass primary 4 questions - that is, if you make allowance for those that manipulated their way into pass grade? 3. Primary school pupils protested against the sack - is that evidence of 'catch-'em-young' (where politics can get you anything? 4. What image does this development create for the state and country? 5. Could this not be a sample statistic that represent the parameter of the Nigeria schools population? |
Some people are chronic bad losers: they can't achieve anything in their life; and when someone shows a little skill/talent you see them flexing muscle in criticisms and fault-finding. While many of his folk - the disabled - are begging for alms, this youg man has shown ability in disability. You'll move from there to built trucks of the 21st century! |
I think something is seriously wrong somewhere with this government. I predict more shocking revelations. |
Some day, somebody will come to announce an empowering scheme for success in eventually sleeping with their long time crush. The world going, going ... |
I doubt that Baba Gowon still leads/heads the Nigeria Prays; If he still does, I doubt that Nigeria Prays still prays for the unity and peace of this country; If it still does, I doubt that this Baba still wants God to answer the prayer; and If he still does, then I recommend him for rehab! |
![]() In Nigeria, you get used to either incessant complaints of dissatisfaction or bearing the cost of poor or no service at all by many service organization. From the era of NEPA through PHCN to the unbundled entities: EEDC, EKEDC, AEDC, etc., we have never fared better. It's been exorbitant charges for little or no power supply, month in, month out. Here in Lafia, Nasarawa State (could be similar or the same in other parts of the country), the 'theifery' of AEDC has, rather than abate, continues to soar with unpredictable dimensions. Imagine that in my area (Dadin Kowa) our electricity bill for the current month comes in the mid of the month, and we are expected to pay before month-end. For example, we've already been billed for the month of October, 2017. The question I keep asking is: am I supposed to pay for electricity CONSUMED or for the one TO BE CONSUMED in the month. But each time I raise this with their 'tax collectors' they refer me to their office where virtually NOTHING happens. TOO BAD |
I think there's also the Prophet Ayodele of INRI ministry, known for accurate prophecies (read 'preductions'). He gave some predicitons about the winning of the Anambra election. But I think he didn't give the PDP high odds. November 18 will come and go, and the correct predictors will get known. |
THE VULTURE IS A BIRD
Birds have been running courier operations since time immemorial.
If you doubt it, ask Noah and the Ark. |
Until recently, Nigerians knew about universities, polytechnics and colleges (of education, health, technology, agriculture, etc.). The introduction of Innovation Enterprise Institutions (IEIs) into the Nigerian educational system has not been as publicized as is deserving of such important sub-sector. Innovation Enterprise Institutions (IEIs) are mainly private-sector owned and managed institutions of higher learning that run 2-year National Innovation Diploma (NID) programmes. The NID qualification is equivalent to the National Diploma awarded by polytechnics, and have the same value for academic purposes - it qualifies you for a Higher National Diploma (HND) or second year university entry placement (by direct entry). For work purposes, there is the argument that NID is a notch nigher than ND. The same National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Kaduna that regulates polytechnics regulate IEIs. You gain admission into IEI for NID programme through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination -UTME. |
