Not just shouting south south as if there is something you can do alone even with your oil and the access to sea that you have.

What have you people achieved collectively?
What can you boast that unite you with other part of so called south south.

In your own village, check the highest investment there and kindly tell me the tribe that owns it.

Like I said, don't fight for us,fight for yourself,we are very happy where we are. If we are unhappy about anything,we have our own way of fighting without causing death to our civilian population.
Do your thing Enyi and stop worrying about the Niger Delta. We have more resources, more soldiers and more weapons than the Igbos but we know that fighting is not going to solve our problems, that's why we're using our own strategy.
When the time comes, the Niger Delta Republic will be actualised.

Okay as long as you guys use your own sweat, resources, and blood for your fight. Don’t wait for Igbos or Yorubas to do all the hard work then piggyback off of someone’s else effort. As a matter of fact, why not advocate for it now? It seems you are already sitting and waiting for others to initiate and carry the fight for you.

There's no need for the Niger Delta people to run from fry pan to fire.
We encourage you to form Biafra for all Igbos, when the time comes, the Niger Delta people will have Niger Delta Republic.

That’s the same tune the Yorubas were singing for decades, taunting Igbos, but now the Fulani has showed up (again) on their doorstep wanting to go beyond their reach of Kwara state. If you want jihad upon your land, that’s your business, we don’t care.

EVERYTHING Igbos mentioned over 50 years ago is still showing itself today. Ask the middle belt if they have any regrets, or Yoruba, etc. Nigeria is 100 times worse than before the civil war and a totally failed state. Anyone defending the british entity called Nigeria DESERVES Buhari as it’s president.

Enyi,why are you so desperate?
Just leave the Niger Delta people alone.
The more you beg us to join you in Biafra the more we suspect that you're after our oil and sea and the more we distance ourselves from Igbos.
THE NIGER DELTA PEOPLE WILL NEVER JOIN BIAFRA OR ANY OTHER IGBO COUNTRY, YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.
Find another way to solve your problems.

Dear Ikwerres, by now you should know I'm not igbo. I'm from Akwa ibom.
Let me tell you a Secret.
It not like we in the Niger delta( others non igbo subgroups) likes you but in order to divide the Igbos so they cant get a foothold in the Niger delta we have to support you and say you're not Igbos. But assurely when we might have gotten Niger delta Rep we plan to treat you just the same with the Edos are treating the Igbankes in Edo state now. Ask them.

If you say you're not igbo please can you drop the igbo Language, Names, Cultures and tradition and form yours.
The Igbo Ancestors that formed theirs didn't had two heads... What you guys are doing is what we call "Plagiarism" in today's world.

Why is it that when an Ikwerre man commit a crime in Faraway Europe and we read of it we start blaming Igbos saying the Igbos are criminals just by seeing the names even though those individuals might be Ikwerres, Ikas, Enuani etc ( Confused ethnic groups)

Just like I told the Ikwerres on Facebook, I'm still telling you Ikwerres and Ikas here that say you're not Igbos to pls drop the igbo names you bear, it culture, it language and formed yours and then you would be seen as a distinct ethnic group different From the Igbos.

Exactly, we have learnt from history.
Do you know how much the Niger Delta people were marginalised when we were part of the South East?
Do you know how much the Niger Delta people suffered and some of us were killed during the Biafra war which we never wanted to be a part of?
Do you know that we have absolutely nothing to gain from Biafra but a lot to lose if we join Biafra?
Our people know what's good for them ,we know who our real enemies are and it's not the Hausas or Fulanis.

“I was encouraged by what I heard, nobody told me. Two statements from the south-south. One by the elderly people, they said this time around there would be no (secession). And again the youth made the same statement; such encouragement,” Buhari said.

I am an Igbo person and in support of Biafra (though, not the IPOB way). You see this cryptic message President Buhari just sent is a master stroke and I applaud him for that, he is beginning to match up and that means we have to match him up better.

Now to the main point, the highlighted quote up there is nothing but the truth. I have carefully analysed and dissected Nigeria economically and politically and without bias, I can and will tell you that Niger-Delta is the piece holding Nigeria together. The talk of secession is rubbish without the South South endorsement and the quickest way to end Nigeria is for the S.S to say they are no longer interested.

So, as long as those leaders gave him their support,he has nothing to worry about. It's painful, but that's the fact.

The only worry is that, for a people/region that is the fulcrum to a Nation like Nigeria, the Niger Delta is fast asleep. Maybe the few billions they throw at then is ok but the the day the people of Niger Delta wake up (and I don't mean by blowing up oil pipelines or giving Ghana must go to the likes of Asari and Tompolo) but a radical ideological and behavioural change, then Nigeria will wake up and overtake Nations that have left her behind.

Niger Deltans wake up, stop drinking, stop all vices and act like the mill oiling this engine called Nigeria.

That's what I call brutal honesty, it's what we've been telling them but they wouldn't listen. Biafra is indeed a little dot in a circle with access to nothing.
My suggestion is that we build a wall around them before we give them their Biafra.

Niger Delta will form the Niger Delta Republic but we must build a big wall so Igbos don't migrate into our country and mess it up.
We have our strategy, worry about Igbo Biafra, the Niger Delta will worry about themselves.

Yes give the Igbos their own country.
Please let the Igbos have their Biafra but we must build a big wall around all the borders surrounding Igbo tribes so they don't migrate into the Niger Delta or other parts of Nigeria.
All Niger Delta states must start building big walls around their states.
Niger Delta Republic will be a reality.

The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) says the Igbo should be allowed to secede from Nigeria if that is what the south-east wants.

The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) are campaigning for the secession of the south-east from Nigeria.

IPOB was formed in 2012 by Nnamdi Kanu, while MASSOB was founded in 1999 by Ralph Uwazuruike.

Addressing journalists after a closed-door meeting held in Abuja on Monday, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, spokesman of the forum, said the agitation by the Igbo for secession has become widespread, adding that the leaders in the state appear to support the decision.

Baba-Ahmed advised that standing in the way of the agitators will only worsen the insecurity in the country.

“This nation has had to fight a terrible war to preserve the country. The north had paid its dues in that war, as indeed it did in many ways throughout the history of the country. Under our current circumstances, no Nigerian should welcome another war to keep the country together,” he said.

“The forum has arrived at the difficult conclusion that if support for secession among the Igbo is as widespread as it is being made to look, and Igbo leadership appears to be in support of it, then the country should be advised not to stand in its way.

“It will not be the best choice for the Igbo or Nigerians to leave a country we have all toiled to build and a country we all have the responsibility to fix, but it will not help a country already burdened with failures on its knees to fight another war to keep the Igbo in Nigeria.”

The forum warned that attacks and killings of northerners, federal government employees, and destruction of national assets must stop, adding that those involved must be arrested and prosecuted.

The northern elders also noted that until the Igbo decide whether it wants to secede or remain part of Nigeria, the law applies to it, as the federal and state governments have a responsibility to enforce the law and protect citizens.

They also supported the calls for northerners who are exposed to harassment and violence, to consider relocating to the north.

They, however, advised that all Igbo and other ethnic groups residing in the north should be accorded the usual hospitality and security.

I agree with Obasanjo but I don't think there will ever be peace in Nigeria as long as the Igbos are part of Nigeria. I believe that the Igbos should be allowed to have their own country and Nigeria should build a big wall around the border with all Igbo tribes especially around the Niger Delta so they don't get into Niger Delta. How they survive in that enclave will be their problem not Nigeria's problem. I'm sick of Igbos always talking about war and Biafra when they know that they can't survive on their own for 1 month.
Please give Igbos Biafra.
For the young Igbos who are uneducated and have no idea about history, I'll like to remind you that Biafra surrendered to the Nigerian army because Nigerian army was able to shut all Biafran avenue to the outside world which include seaway through Warri, present day Rivers and Bayelsa, present day Akwa Ibom and present day Cross River,as a result of this over 2 million Biafrans died of hunger and starvation, this is the reason they're fighting tooth and nail to include Niger Delta in Biafra. Unfortunately for the Igbos the Niger Delta people are not interested in any alliance with them because we have learnt a big lesson from sharing the defunct Eastern Nigeria with the Igbos and also we suffered so much during the civil war.
Even if Nigeria breaks up,we will build a wall around the Niger Delta to keep the Igos from mass migration into our territory.
How the Igbos will survive in Biafra is their problem.
A group of people who have no means whatsoever of surviving on their own but always talking about war and secession are only making are only making fun of themselves.
Even a child knows that Igbos cannot survive on their own.
