Whalis: Someone would say Fubara is peaceful, but this is not true. Fubara appears peaceful because he is clueless. He is bereft of idea of the complexity and sophistication due his office. What is the " sophistication" you are making reference to? - His refusal to mobilise thugs and touts to ferment trouble in protest of the SoE? - His refusal to hand over the people's common wealth to one man to control. - His peaceful disposition in the face of unprecedented insults by people who failed to realise its not Fubara they where denigrating but the office of the Governor. Something they will later regret. So what " sophistication" are you referring to?? |

samwash: One of the problem with APC is that they hate criticism, if you criticize them you become an enemy of the State, whereas when they where in opposition, they criticize the government of the day. Neither PDP, LP & others don't know how to play the opposition role effective, it's a pity. I've been hearing this line of thought for a while now. Please can you elaborate on how best to play the opposition as you've opined that neither PDP, LP & others know how to. |

buckeyemedia: Cut your noes to spite your ears just because u hate the president of your country?, blame the people wey decide conceive u for The Federal Republic of Nigeria, instead of Republic du Niger. Nah. I don't hate Tinubu. My values do not just align with his on so many levels. 1. He has a shady drug history. 2. He is a confirmed CIA asset. (This tells you he is not truly loyal to Nigeria). 3. He was instrumental in bringing Buhari who had no business whatsoever with governance. 4. The last election was a shit show of shame where his lackneys in INEC , the security agencies and judiciary literally stole the people's mandate. 5. With the way he is managing the economy, Nigerians are in for a long tortuous ride. Finally, It's a know fact that France exploits former colonies that's why they are seeking total independence but here you have Tinubu romancing them because he lacks legitimacy in the comity of presidents. |

Politics › Re: Niger Republic’s Military Leader’s Allegations Against Nigeria Are Baseless - FG by Ekpeitut: 8:47am On Dec 27, 2024 |
Blazetrailer: Wow!! I haven't seen so much display of ignorance and diconection of reality in one post as the one by this known Nairaland pro Tinubu dunce below.
To start with, the military leaders in Niger have continued to wax stronger in popularity, as shown by waves and waves of anti France demonstrations and public support for the ban of exploration of uranium by French companies in Niger. Further, the public opinion have remained very high(78%, Reuters,Oct 2024) for the leaders of the junta which is an indication of the acceptance of the good work they are doing(same can not be said of your principal,Tinubu though). Besides, If the Nigerien leaders can last as long as Mugabe(27 years) deploying the tactics they are using now, that would be a great achievement, something Tinubu can never be, because he will be booted out come 2027.
There must be a reason most Francophone countries especially the ones in WA wanted France out of their countries. Even Senegal and CIV (the foundational lackeys of France from the colonial era) have recently asked French forces to close their bases and leave their countries. This was after they discovered that insecurity and banditry get more intense in areas around where French military bases are(coincidentally and strategically located in same areas/regions where the most precious natural resources of those ex-colonies are located). They discovered that the French have been encouraging and supporting destabiliation in those mineral rich regions to avoid paying taxes to the central government while they had unfettered access to those resources under the guise of protecting the regions and their military bases. The French often connive with the bandits and terrorists to continue to distract the central governments while they pretend to guard those natural resources with their troops, to ensure that the supply of uranium, iron ore, tin, gypsum, etc, continue undisturbed. The French government in turn still charge these countries huge money for security and protection of those places and because by the colonial agreements they signed, their foreign reserves are with France so it is uauslly a direct charge to those countries' foreign account ( hence Mali,Senegal,CIV, BF,Niger,Tchad and other CFA countries can do very little about it). The exploitative and destabiliation tendencies of France in WA have been well documented globally and to both the discerning and the learned. Therefore many intellectuals in foreign policies have hailed the renaissance and growth of anti France ideologies in those countries as exemplified by successive and popular coups in most of those countries.
How a sensible and knowledgeable leader can not decipher that the recent gestures from France is a frantic effort to reestablish their colonial presence in WA and believed that it is all for economic investments is belwidering to me. Even lowly educated ones picked it up the moment France began to send overtures to Nigeria, having lost their influence in West Africa. The buffoon called Tinubu is so stupid to twerk for them because he needs acceptability of some sort to wash away some of the parrier status as a known global criminal(CIA/FBI/DEA asset). And this is who some referred to as a "strategist" He is duller than Buhari(and Buhari had been regarded as Nigeria's most intellectually inept leader since independence before now)
Even the ECOWAS thing sounded like a joke. It showed Tinubus inexperienxe and lack of the fortitude to make reasonable and informed decisions requiring strategic thinking. No global body rushes to expel and impose sanctions on countries without first engaging. Not the AU, UN or any other global body expelled Niger from their fold on the account of the coup, they all started engaging first and having sensed the poularity of the coup have accepted the coup leaders as genuine ones because of the massive support of the people. Besides, everyone was aware of the exploitative tendecies and the anti people rhetorics of France in those countries. That was why the expulsion was a total failure and sanctions ineffective. A pointer to this stupidity and irrationality of Tinubus leadedship was that he even mooted the idea of invading Niger as a threat to the coup leaders. What a foo!!. Suffice to say the sanctions were ignominiously reversed after a few months while same Tinubu shamelessly begged Niger to remain in ECOWAS after initially expelling them. Who does that
To think the new romance with France that all former colonies are doing away with is the one that this clueless Tinubu's administration is highlighting as one of ots biggest achievements is a pointer to how visionless and tactless he was prepapred for this role
If there was anyone to believe in this situation and given the past antecedents of both governments, I will believe the Nigerian military leaders more.
The poster below knows nothing beyond the PDP/APC local government politics. He is one of those who depends on the 30k stipend monthly for survival, albeit a poorly educated one at that. This is a sound analysis. Most of these APC minions do not have the IQ to engage on this level hence they resort to weak and mediocre arguments full of cheap insults and mudslinging. |

People who win elections understand their electorate and dont pander to the hostile minority who don’t determine outcomes. All the english speaking wannabes are less than 10% of the population but you ascribe to yourselves more importance in the democratic process than the reality. APC knows the votes are in the villages and rural communities and they don’t watch Arise TV. What did it benefit Obi in the end attending English speaking interviews and debates to appease the pretentious 10% most of whom don’t come out to vote?
When you win (it is only the person who wins the election that can have presidential media parleys). You can talk to them.
Sentiment and emotions do not win elections. Tinubu is holding presidential media parley, Obi is making himself a nuisance on Twitter to remain relevant. Tinubu did not win the 2023 elections, he knows this. INEC rigged him in. So quit your bickering, if you put yourself out to contest for the highest office of the land, the least of your worries should be addressing the people you want to govern. The fact your are defending this current shit show of a government shows how morally bankrupt you are. |
