The Rector is answerable to the governing council as stipulated in the Federal Polytechnic Act..... Before any recruitment is done in any school that has a governing council, The Rector Must have the approval of the Governing council... The Governing Council has the Constitutional powers as stipulated in the Polytechnic Act to remove the Rector if found guilty of any misappropriation....
