Modified.

I meant the seventh line/subpage/space, or whatever they call it, on first page of this thread. Among those quotes that you highlighted, one of mentioned the living father.

Maynman, stop it. Don't resort to your usual repetition. I want us to have a meaningful discourse bordering on the premise, extrapolated premise, of course, since you have refused to state the actual premise, aim and purpose. Are you capable of doing that?

Christianity Etc › Re: Theos 102-- Sky Father. by elated177:
Maynthemayn, are you familiar with 1 Kings 18?

Here it is.

1 Kings 18: 17 When he saw Elijah, he said to him, “Is that you, you troubler of Israel?”
18 “I have not made trouble for Israel,” Elijah replied. “But you and your father’s family have. You have abandoned YHVH’s commands and have followed the Baals. 19 Now summon the people from all over Israel to meet me on Mount Carmel. And bring the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and the four hundred prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”
20 So Ahab sent word throughout all Israel and assembled the prophets on Mount Carmel. 21 Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If YHVH is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.”

But the people said nothing.

22 Then Elijah said to them, “I am the only one of YHVH’s prophets left, but Baal has four hundred and fifty prophets. 23 Get two bulls for us. Let Baal’s prophets choose one for themselves, and let them cut it into pieces and put it on the wood but not set fire to it. I will prepare the other bull and put it on the wood but not set fire to it. 24 Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of YHVH. The god who answers by fire—he is God.”

Then all the people said, “What you say is good.”

25 Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one of the bulls and prepare it first, since there are so many of you. Call on the name of your god, but do not light the fire.” 26 So they took the bull given them and prepared it.

Then they called on the name of Baal from morning till noon. “Baal, answer us!” they shouted. But there was no response; no one answered. And they danced around the altar they had made.

27 At noon Elijah began to taunt them. “Shout louder!” he said. “Surely he is a god! Perhaps he is deep in thought, or busy, or traveling. Maybe he is sleeping and must be awakened.” 28 So they shouted louder and slashed themselves with swords and spears, as was their custom, until their blood flowed. 29 Midday passed, and they continued their frantic prophesying until the time for the evening sacrifice. But there was no response, no one answered, no one paid attention.

30 Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come here to me.” They came to him, and he repaired the altar of YHVH, which had been torn down. 31 Elijah took twelve stones, one for each of the tribes descended from Jacob, to whom the word of YHVH had come, saying, “Your name shall be Israel.” 32 With the stones he built an altar in the name of YHVH, and he dug a trench around it large enough to hold two seahs of seed. 33 He arranged the wood, cut the bull into pieces and laid it on the wood. Then he said to them, “Fill four large jars with water and pour it on the offering and on the wood.”

34 “Do it again,” he said, and they did it again.

“Do it a third time,” he ordered, and they did it the third time. 35 The water ran down around the altar and even filled the trench.

36 At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “YHVH, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. 37 Answer me, YHVH, answer me, so these people will know that you, YHVH, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.”

38 Then the fire of YHVH fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.

39 When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, “YHVH—he is God! YHVH—he is God!”

Myer, I am glad you agreed with me that the devil has nothing good to give to humans. This is because what they term as good will turn out to be destruction along the line. Since the demons, who are the architects of witchcraft, can't do good, what kind of good, then, can witches do? Demons are the enemies of humans and all the seek is destruction. The witches are their willings tools with which they carry out all sorts of evil and wickedness in the world. They are the ones which the demons use to fight against the lights of YHVH Almighty in families and communities.

So people get initiated into witchcraft in order to protect their children from other witches? Did I get you correctly? My question still remains unanswered: "At what cost?"

Don't kid yourself, Myer, do you really think that a witch will ever seek salvation?

Jeremiah 13: 23 Can an Ethiopian change his skin or a leopard its spots? Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil.

By the way, I am not a Christian. I am sure you knew that already.

Witches are the foot soldiers of the kingdom of wickedness.

Myer, my position is not different from the position of the Scriptures.

Let us take it from this angle. You said that some people joined witchcraft to protect their children, right? Protect them from who?
Christianity Etc › Re: Religious Tolerance by elated177: 7:48pm On Oct 09, 2023
You keep contradicting yourself, Myer.

At what cost does a person join witchcraft to protect his/her children?

I think you should be more interested in how to study the Scriptures for yourself more, so that you will have something to share with others, tctrills. Ask the Father in heaven for understanding of his Scriptures.

We know trees by their respective fruits. We recognize people by their deeds. We know the kind of character and lifestyle associated with unrighteous people - the world. We know the character and lifestyle the followers of YHVH Almighty, of Yahushua the Messiah, are supposed to exhibit. Just as day is clearly different from night, so are the two classes or groups of people different.

Have you heard of elastic collision and inelastic collision in physics?
Christianity Etc › Re: Religious Tolerance by elated177: 2:51pm On Oct 07, 2023
Myer, where is it stated in the Scriptures that Yahushua the Messiah related with witches within the context you are trying to espouse?

Why would Yahushua the Messiah order the killing of demon-possessed people? I am glad you said he cast out the demons out and did not rather seek to understand the way of demon-possessed and why they behaved the way they did in order to tolerate them.

What does it mean to follow Yahushua the Messiah?

What is religion, Myer?

What is "The Way of Truth"? What do people who follow this " Way of Truth" do?

What is self-righteousness?
Christianity Etc › Re: Religious Tolerance by elated177:
Do you know why I asked you that question?
Here it is.

Myer:
No body went into a religion to be evil.
We go into religion to be good, better and best version of ourselves.
You said that witchcraft is a religion. It is a religion. Do people who join witchcraft groups do so to be good?

Christianity Etc › Re: Dies The Church You Attend Determine Your Salvation? by elated177:
The Body of the Messiah is not a building. The Body of the Messiah is made up of all races, tribes, languages and ethnicities. The Body of the Messiah is made up of people from different countries of the world. All those who obey him, by obeying his Commandments, make up his Ekklesia, his called-out/set-apart ones --- what you call "church", I suppose.

When, we, his called-out ones, gather, we discuss his Scriptures and teach one another with the wisdom he has given to us as he sees fit. When we meet, we encourage, teach and admonish one another as his Spirit leads. We don't follow anyone but the Scriptures. Salvation can be found only in the Word of the Almighty. So, when we gather and anyone amongst us shares something that is contrary to the Scriptures, we will call his attention to it and correct him there and then. This is because we all study the Scriptures for ourselves and all have the Set-apart Spirit, by that fact, our spirits are active. When we gather, each one shares with the others whatever the Spirit of truth has placed in his heart. The others will know when an erroneous message has been shared. We may have different gifts, we are all equal at the same pedestal as brothers and are led by the same Spirit of truth. This is the Body/Ekklesia/Church of the Messiah. This is the Ekklesia(Church) of the Messiah. This is how the Body/Ekklesia/Church of the Messiah works and functions. This is the way.

So, the people you gather with in the name of studying the Scripture with "influence" your righteous walk. After all:

1 Corinthians 5: 9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

Proverbs 4: 23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, YHVH knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of the Messiah depart from iniquity.

Ephesians 5: 3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.

I had to say all that for clarity. Those for whom the message is intended will get it.

El Elohe Yahshrael! Hallelu YAH!
Christianity Etc › Re: Dies The Church You Attend Determine Your Salvation? by elated177:
Tctrills, your question requires broad reply. It needs multifaceted response.

Let me start from this angle.

The truth of the matter is that you cannot be more righteous than the person whom you submit to as your "pastor". A servant cannot be a master to his/her master.

You see, every single individual who sets out to become a "pastor" is under the influence of one spirit or the other - he or she is led by one or more spirits ---- good or bad spirits. Anyone who submits himself or herself, as in become a follower of such "pastor", is under the influence of whatever spirits that lead him/her, I mean the "pastor". It may not be so at the initial time, but it will, most definitely, become so along the line.

The Creator, the one and only true God, is the Father of the spirits of all human beings and only he can be connected with the spirits of his creatures. The spirits of human beings emanate from him and report to him. Our spirits are active in our lives when we are connected to him --- the Source of our spirits. When we are in this state, we can do his will. When we are separated from him, that is, our spirits are not in tune with his Spirit, no matter how brief or for how long, we cannot do his will. Anyone who is in this state, this condition, is dead spiritually and cannot do his will. Such an individual, who is not led by the Spirit of his/her Maker, is dead spiritually and it doesn't matter if he/she has a legion of demons in him/her. He/she comes alive whenever he/she is led by his/her spirit, which, of course, is connected with and led by the Spirit of our Father in heaven. This is because the spirit which emanates from the Father in heaven cannot do evil. It is impossible for his Spirit to do evil. People do evil only when they are separated from our Father in heaven.

Humans are mostly connected soullishly with those that they call spiritual fathers and mothers. Whatever spirits that influence such "pastors" will, most definitely, influence them. Whatever lifestyle that such "pastor", I mean the spiritual father or mother of such people, lives, albeit behind the scenes, will be exhibited by his/her followers/members both secretly and openly. Whatever you find in such "pastor", be it pride, greed, sexual immorality of all sorts, hypocrisy, witchcraft, covetousness, false humility, lying, falsehood, etc, you will find in his/her followers/members. When a servant of the demons is speaking/preaching, he or she is releasing demons through his own her mouth, coming from inside him/her, all those who are listening to/watching him/her, especially who have submitted themselves to him/her, will be under the influence of such demons. Only those whose spirits are active, by virtue of the connection with the Spirit of truth, will escape such influence.

Matthew 23: 15 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.

2 Peter 2:17 These people are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. 18 For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. 19 They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.”

Kenn55, are you a Christian? Doesn't you Christianity condemn MouthAction? I can see from your assertions that you don't condemn anal sex completely only when it occurs between two males, right? Interesting!

Actually, there is more to homosexuality than those who engage in it think. Homosexuality is not an ordinary act. It is just like someone in the past said: "Dem no dey use clear eye do homo." And he is/was right.

Kenn55, is there a difference between the mind and brain?
