Meaning "He causes to become" the Creator of all thing, He created the first creature {Proverbs 8:22-31} and empowered him to create all other things! Colossians 1:15-16
So they're separate beings not the same as TRINITARIANS do claim. What is the difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant? I meant the "Word of YHVH". So, maxindhouse, who is the Word of YHVH? |

KnownUnknown: Do you consider Numbers Chapter 31 to be an example of “evil and wickedness”? Check the portions of the Scriptures below and tell me what you think about the one you mentioned. Leviticus 18: 24 “‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. 25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you. Leviticus 20:22“‘Keep all my decrees and laws and follow them, so that the land where I am bringing you to live may not vomit you out. 2 Kings 25: 7 They killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. Then they put out his eyes, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon. 8 On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard, an official of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. 9 He set fire to the temple of YHVH, the royal palace and all the houses of Jerusalem. Every important building he burned down. 10 The whole Babylonian army under the commander of the imperial guard broke down the walls around Jerusalem. 11 Nebuzaradan the commander of the guard carried into exile the people who remained in the city, along with the rest of the populace and those who had deserted to the king of Babylon. 12 But the commander left behind some of the poorest people of the land to work the vineyards and fields.13 The Babylonians broke up the bronze pillars, the movable stands and the bronze Sea that were at the temple of YHVH and they carried the bronze to Babylon. 14 They also took away the pots, shovels, wick trimmers, dishes and all the bronze articles used in the temple service. 15 The commander of the imperial guard took away the censers and sprinkling bowls—all that were made of pure gold or silver.16 The bronze from the two pillars, the Sea and the movable stands, which Solomon had made for the temple of YHVH, was more than could be weighed. 17 Each pillar was eighteen cubits high. The bronze capital on top of one pillar was three cubits[f] high and was decorated with a network and pomegranates of bronze all around. The other pillar, with its network, was similar. Jeremiah 9: 19 The sound of wailing is heard from Zion: ‘How ruined we are! How great is our shame! We must leave our land because our houses are in ruins.’” Ezekiel 36: 16 Again the word of YHVH came to me: 17 “Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by their conduct and their actions. Their conduct was like a woman’s monthly uncleanness in my sight. 18 So I poured out my wrath on them because they had shed blood in the land and because they had defiled it with their idols. 19 I dispersed them among the nations, and they were scattered through the countries; I judged them according to their conduct and their actions. 20 And wherever they went among the nations they profaned my holy name, for it was said of them, ‘These are YHVH’s people, and yet they had to leave his land.’ 21 I had concern for my holy name, which the people of Israel profaned among the nations where they had gone. Jeremiah 52: 12 On the tenth day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard, who served the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. 13 He set fire to the temple of YHVH, the royal palace and all the houses of Jerusalem. Every important building he burned down. 14 The whole Babylonian army, under the commander of the imperial guard, broke down all the walls around Jerusalem. 15 Nebuzaradan the commander of the guard carried into exile some of the poorest people and those who remained in the city, along with the rest of the craftsmen[d] and those who had deserted to the king of Babylon. 16 But Nebuzaradan left behind the rest of the poorest people of the land to work the vineyards and fields. Jeremiah 52: 24 The commander of the guard took as prisoners Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the priest next in rank and the three doorkeepers. 25 Of those still in the city, he took the officer in charge of the fighting men, and seven royal advisers. He also took the secretary who was chief officer in charge of conscripting the people of the land, sixty of whom were found in the city. 26 Nebuzaradan the commander took them all and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah. 27 There at Riblah, in the land of Hamath, the king had them executed. So Judah went into captivity, away from her land. 28 This is the number of the people Nebuchadnezzar carried into exile: in the seventh year, 3,023 Jews; 29 in Nebuchadnezzar’s eighteenth year, 832 people from Jerusalem; 30 in his twenty-third year, 745 Jews taken into exile by Nebuzaradan the commander of the imperial guard. There were 4,600 people in all.After reading those ones above, read Numbers 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26. |

If you'd bothered to read yourself, you would not be asking me a question I already answered!
My grandfather really accepted a book. He was familiar with reading having been shown it with the Qur'an, so when the Bible was put in his hand and he was taught to read it himself he gladly did and sent his children to school to learn to read better than he could.
The main thing my grandfather learnt from Christianity was reading. This learning empowered him to be able to stop labouring on the land as a farmer and learn the trade of tailoring which afforded him with the resources to educate his own children to learn to read too. In other words, your grandfather never accepted the message of the Scriptures -Akwụkwọ Nsọ - and he never stopped worshipping whatever it was he worshipped, right? |

TenQ: I don't think any Christian will disagree with this except if what you are saying is that observance of the ten commandment is what gives us salvation. Being born again will cause you to observe the law without being ruled by the law. I need you to always mention the Ten Commandments whenever you are referring to them and not just use the word "law". There are many laws in the Torah. What else can give Salvation if not the observance of the Ten Commandments? How can you observe the Ten Commandments without being ruled by the Commandments? Is it possible for anyone to be greater than the Ten Commandments? The way you people lift things from the writings of our brother, apostle Paul, and jumble them all up is not only deceptive but ludicrous. TenQ: The relationship of Christians to God is just like the fact that because I am a true child of my parents causes me to live right without living under the FEAR of obeying their RULES: this is the relationship of a person born again through Christ to the Almighty FATHER! I don't think even you understood what you were saying there. Your parents are your parents, mere mortals like yourself. You can even play golf and tennis with them. Your Maker and Creator is God Almighty and you must worship him with FEAR AND TREMBLING. Will you also play golf and tennis with your Creator? Could that be the image of the Creator the merchants of his Word have sold to you? Psalm 2: 11 Serve YHVH with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. 12 Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. Hebrews 12: 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship YHVH acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”TenQ: Those who are Born Again inherently please their Father without the threat of non observance of the Law. Only servants are kept in check by the threat of the law! Again, I don't think even you understood what you were saying there. This is the kind of abstract message that has left its hearers empty. "Threat of the law" indeed. |

KnownUnknown: Evil and wickedness. What do you think of the following(assuming the Lord in question is YHVH Almighty)
Numbers 31: They fought against Midian, as the Lord commanded Moses,(I) and killed every man.(J) 8 Among their victims were Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba(K)—the five kings of Midian.(L) They also killed Balaam son of Beor(M) with the sword.(N) 9 The Israelites captured the Midianite women(O) and children and took all the Midianite herds, flocks and goods as plunder.(P) 10 They burned(Q) all the towns where the Midianites had settled, as well as all their camps.(R) 11 They took all the plunder and spoils, including the people and animals,(S) 12 and brought the captives, spoils(T) and plunder to Moses and Eleazar the priest and the Israelite assembly(U) at their camp on the plains of Moab, by the Jordan across from Jericho.(V)
15 “Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them. 16 “They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice(X) and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the Lord in the Peor incident,(Y) so that a plague(Z) struck the Lord’s people. 17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man,(AA) 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.
25 The Lord said to Moses, 26 “You and Eleazar the priest and the family heads(AM) of the community are to count all the people(AN) and animals that were captured.(AO) 27 Divide(AP) the spoils equally between the soldiers who took part in the battle and the rest of the community. 28 From the soldiers who fought in the battle, set apart as tribute for the Lord(AQ) one out of every five hundred, whether people, cattle, donkeys or sheep. 29 Take this tribute from their half share and give it to Eleazar the priest as the Lord’s part. 30 From the Israelites’ half, select one out of every fifty, whether people, cattle, donkeys, sheep or other animals. Give them to the Levites, who are responsible for the care of the Lord’s tabernacle.(AR)” 31 So Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the Lord commanded Moses.
32 The plunder remaining from the spoils(AS) that the soldiers took was 675,000 sheep, 33 72,000 cattle, 34 61,000 donkeys 35 and 32,000 women who had never slept with a man.
36 The half share of those who fought in the battle was:
337,500 sheep, 37 of which the tribute for the Lord(AT) was 675; 38 36,000 cattle, of which the tribute for the Lord was 72; 39 30,500 donkeys, of which the tribute for the Lord was 61; 40 16,000 people, of whom the tribute for the Lord was 32. Huh? |

budaatum: Fortunately, as you can see, my forebears did not "accept" what you think they should have accepted. My great grandparents for instance just accepted a book which they read, but they in no way accepted all the claims made in the book. My grandfather would tell you people go to church like they go to babalawos expecting Gods to provide them with their daily bread, he however accepted learning to read and understand what he read, which he instilled in his descendants, and my father, on reading the book, went further and refused to eat only bread, and I, his child, is buda. We evolved, you see.
Unfortunately, on the other hand, many "accepted" the claims made in the book without quite understanding what they read, many thinking Gods wrote the book so they must believe it, while those who brought it to them have evolved to understand and utilise it so well that if you offer Nigerians the opportunity to migrate to the semi-heaven they've created, Nigeria would empty before you blink.
It's a process, you see. We evolve from speaking as children and understanding as children and thinking as children who see in mirrors darkly and know only in part, into adults who put away childish things and know, and we have just not yet evolved enough, hence, hope.
We would be worse off if we had not learnt to read with the books we were given. We sure would not be communicating what we communicate as we do. But blindly accepting and believing just shows we have a lot of growing up to do. You keep dancing around, budaatum. What book did your grandfather accept? Just mention the book and we will continue from there. |

El Elohe Yahshrael!
The fact that the Ten Commandments of YHVH Almighty were written by him on two stone tablets should give any genuine seeker an idea of how seriously he takes them. There are other laws, decrees, statutes and commands in the Torah, of course, but the Ten Commandments are separate.
The two stone tablets upon which the Ten Commandments were written were carefully placed in the Ark of the Covenant. The other two items were the golden jar of manna and budded staff of Aaron.
Jeremiah 31: 31 “The days are coming,” declares YHVH, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. 32 It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to[a] them,[b]” declares YHVH. 33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares YHVH. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 34 No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know YHVH,’ because they will all know me,.from the least of them to the greatest,” declares YHVH. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
You see, when the Father in heaven, YHVH Almighty, said he would write his Law on our hearts and put it in our minds, he was, by that very fact, saying he would make us his temples and our hearts and minds a kind of ark.
John 14:23 Yahushua replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

Genesis 18: 17 Then YHVH said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? 18 Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him. 19 For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of YHVH by doing what is right and just, so that YHVH will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.” Isaiah 29: 13 YHVH says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught. Jeremiah 23: 28 Let the prophet who has a dream recount the dream, but let the one who has my word speak it faithfully. For what has straw to do with grain?” declares YHVH. 29 “Is not my word like fire,” declares YHVH, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?The premise of this thread is that if our forefathers had actually accepted the Good News of the Kingdom of YHVH Almighty, they would have taught the same to their children, who would have taught the same to their own children and so it would have continued till this our generation. TenQ: No sane Christian goes against the LAW of God even though we know that no one is saved by just the observance of the Law.
The Laws in the OT is not limited to the 10 commandments. It also includes the ceremonial and levitical Laws. The 10 Commandments are like the summary or coincise statement of the law.
Rom 3:25-30: "Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? No: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith." The fact that the Ten Commandments of YHVH Almighty were written by him on two stone tablets should give any genuine seeker an idea of how seriously he takes them. There are other laws, decrees, statutes and commands in the Torah, of course, but the Ten Commandments are separate. MaxInDHouse: This is what God meant when He promised to establish a new COVENANT and write His laws in the hearts of obedient mankind! Jeremiah 31:31-34
Instead of studying laws and reading it with your neighbours you must recall the life and ministry of Jesus Christ then meditate on his thoughts, words and actions. So if the Christ use to kill his enemies then you're justified before God to do the same, if the Christ use to curse his enemies then you can do likewise, if the Christ approves having multiple partners in marriage then you too can do so. That's how the LAWS are WRITTEN in people's hearts not when you start traveling back to the COVENANT God made between Himself and the ancient nation of Israel! I am glad you mentioned Jeremiah 31:31-34. Nowhere in that portion of the Scriptures did my Father in heaven, YHVH Almighty, say that he was going to or would abolish his Ten Commandments. Nope! He said he would write them on the hearts of those who accept his Salvation. Reading and meditating on them are very crucial. Don't you agree? Reading, studying and meditating on the Ten Commandments with family and friends are very important. Anyone who claims to be a saint, servant or messenger of YHVH Almighty who does not teach his children the Ten Commandments with the utmost serious is only deluding himself or herself and does not belong to him. budaatum: Elated, nowhere did I imply "accept" and "learn" are synonyms as you are trying to play off here! Accept, as in received the book when given it. And learnt to read it and learned from reading it too, obviously. Nowhere did I, directly or indirectly, imply that accept and learn were synonymous, Buda. I asked what your grandfather accepted, or even learnt, from the book - the Bible - that you said he accepted. budaatum: Reading was the main thing as we are talking like late 18th early 19th century before schools or telly, though you might understand that I can't exactly claim "from that book" alone, since he preferred using his senses a lot and never liked bread. I mean, it is rather very difficult for one to pinpoint exactly what another learnt from a book. What is the point of your assertion above? budaatum: Reading the book, the only book he really read being as it was the only one he had in his language with the time to read, did widen his horizon and empower him immensely, I'd say I noted. His ability to read enabled him to become a tailor instead of a farmer. He made agbadas for the wealthy and for kings and earned a lot of money. I saw his learning more in how he reasoned. He was the first to adopt birth control with his 3 wives for instance, and the first to send his daughters to school abroad, two things very new in his day. Just so we are clear, Buda, are we still talking about the Bible? budaatum: Oro worshippers would never go past his father, my great-grandfather's yard and disturb his neighbourhood because he'd be sitting outside and oro would have to confront him to which he would invite his wives to come out and watch. My grandfather himself never believed what he was told and would say, "fi han mi" (show me), whenever he was told anything, and he was renowned for whipping a pastor out of his house because the pastor said God told him my grandfather should feed him. "Tell God to come tell me himself", the story goes, and even then I bet he'd question that God when it turned up. Did your grandfather learn all that from the Bible that he accepted? budaatum: He would go around the family compound every morning looking for children who had not gone to school, and was noted for whipping their mothers for not sending them, to which my grandma, his wife, would give the money her children earned selling eko to the child's mother to pay the school fees.
A very enlightened man was he, for his time. Did your grandfather learn all that from the Bible that he accepted? I am still asking, Buda, what exactly did your grandfather accept from the book, the Bible, which he accepted from the missionaries? |

Is it possible for anyone to please YHVH Almighty without obeying his commands? Do you agree with me that those who obey the Commandments of YHVH Almighty are certified righteous by him? Consider the following: Acts 10: 4 Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. Yet he was directed to how he could be saved. I want you to consider the following deeply. Acts 10: 43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.” Hebrews 9: 22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.TenQ: Abraham was not thinking of salvation in his walk with God. Maynman: Yahweh worshippers that believes a snake can talk, no wonder they are called Believers Not only snake, a donkey spoke. The Sea of Reeds was divided into two. Water came out of the rock and the people quenched their thirst. The people were fed with bread of the heavenly messengers. |

budaatum: Which "forefathers"?
My great grandfather abandoned the Ifa he got from his father for Islam which arrived before Christianity or Europeans. He preferred that they had a book, and he sent his children to learn to read. budaatum: His son, my grandfather followed tradition by abandoning Islam for Christianity when it arrived. He preferred that they had a book that could be read and he sent his children to learn to read it. What, really, did your grandfather accept? What did he learn from Christianity? budaatum: My father, true to his forefathers, continued the tradition by reading the books and discovering that those who live by bread alone will become malnourished, so he fed his own children with books from everywhere so we don't end up in any.
I, fed on books, learnt they are to be read to be understood instead of believed unless one likes trembling.
Our religion, if it may be call one, passed down from 3 generations of forefathers to me, is, Read To Understand, because that will make you grow and evolve than if you merely gullibly believe all you read in a book. |

Maynman: Our forefathers already had their own religion and gods. Eledumare is not same with Yahweh of shasu tribe and esu is not devil, there’s no where in Yoruba tradition where eledumare and esu fought, the same way Yahweh and his devil fought in Middle East tradition. Yahwh called himself Israelite god, what else do you want? He is literally isrealiete god. Eledumare is our Yoruba god. You praying to Israelite god to help you in Yoruba land is crass. And If not for Roman Catholic with the help of crusaders, nicene Chrestianity won’t have spread.
ELohim is different from Yahweh, you can even see it in IsraEL Firstly, find out the tribe of the person whom you are addressing. I am Igbo. I am not Yoruba. Secondly, do you speak for all the Yorubas? Thirdly, you should be teaching what you said above about your beliefs and stop gallivanting and hopping like a cat on hot bricks from thread to thread chanting and repeating heap of meaninglessness like a broken record. Fourthly, YAHVEH Almighty, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, my God and my Father in heaven, has explicitly and unapologetically and unequivocally asserted that he is the one and only true God and the Creator of the heavens, the earth, the seas and everything in them. He displayed his Sovereignty by showing Pharaoh and his people what I call "iwaa". There is no other. All you have to do is present your alternative and stop yapping all over the place. |

El Elohe Yahshrael!
Do you think that our forefathers accepted the Good News of the Kingdom of YHVH Almighty - what people call "whiteman's" religion? I don't think they actually did.

paxonel: yes!
a lot of Christians are yet to see it that way. seeing it that way is the only way they can be truly free. And you shall know the truth and the truth will make you free.
They were just righteous by being who they are but they didn't know Of course, your faith can't be separated from your religion. |

MaxInDHouse: It's either you put faith in the Mosaic laws {Luke 18:18-21} or put faith in Jesus whose laws differs from what's in the Mosaic laws! Luke 18:22-23 Deut 15: 7 If anyone is poor among your fellow Israelites in any of the towns of the land YHVH your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward them. 8 Rather, be openhanded and freely lend them whatever they need. 9 Be careful not to harbor this wicked thought: “The seventh year, the year for canceling debts, is near,” so that you do not show ill will toward the needy among your fellow Israelites and give them nothing. They may then appeal to YHVH against you, and you will be found guilty of sin. 10 Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this YHVH your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. 11 There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.What were you saying again, maxindhouse? |

TenQ: Rom 1:17: "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."
Gal 3:11: "But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith."
Heb 10:38: "Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him." Who is deemed "just" in the Scriptures? What certifies a person as "just"? Live by faith in what? TenQ: Faith means Trust in the integrity of God to perform His words.
The righteous thus will live their lives by Trust in God's promises to 1. Save those who Trust in Him for their Salvation. What has the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob promised that he is expected to perform? TenQ: 2. Be the Righteousness of those who depend on Him since our righteousness is insufficient to get us into heaven. What is this "our righteousness"? Give examples. |

Kobojunkie: Faith refers to living life in continuous submission to and obedience of God's teachings(and commandments), God's Law and the standard by which one is eventually deemed righteous by God.
Note that not all those who have faith are righteous. since Righteousness is according to God's judgement. So the righteous live their existence by faith in God means they are not ruled by their will but by the Will of God aka God's Law. Good. You are learning. You are beginning to understand. |

Ken4Christ: Righteousness by faith simply means the righteousness that is obtained just by believing in the finished work of Christ on Calvary. It is the righteousness that is given to us as a gift. You don't work for it. Just believe in Jesus and you will be declared righteous.
This is how Abraham also was declared righteous in his days;
Genesis 15:6 And HE BELIEVED in the LORD; and he COUNTED IT TO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Apostle Paul wrote;
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man BELIEVETH UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Righteousness obtained by faith is a gift;
Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.
And you receive this gift of righteousness the very moment you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Your sins are washed away and you become a brand new man. You are no longer seen as a sinner. You are now the righteousness of God in Christ. Is there any need engaging you on this issue? |
