From my very little experience

1. Yes your dependents can apply at a later stage
2. Application for dependents can be made at any stage, it does not matter if the CoS expires or not for them.

Note :- Try to keep a copy of the CoS doc even though it is expired as you will need some details when you fill your dependents application from at a later stage.

Thanks Plenty

EngrSaks:

Well the COS is for 3 months only, I dont know if COS can be reissued or renewed but it is best you all apply within the 3 months validity of the COS

You can all apply separately within the validity period once your sponsor ticked yes for maintenance...but outside that you would have to show proof you can sponsor your dependants

Depending on how large your dependants are, I would suggest you source for cash and do the application for them within the validity of the COS. You can put a different entry date for them...

without COS you are looking at least 4 -6 months of work and savings for you because you would need to have funds and accommodation for them to join you

Thanks Boss.

Good morning my Ogas in the house.

Your boy don come again oo.
Abeg help me use your 'Ogbon Agba' smiley scrutinize and express your thoughts on the issues highlighted below:

1. I intend to apply for a Tier 2 visa as the main/principal/primary applicant.
Can my dependants apply at a later date after mine?

2. If Yes (which I believe it is), must their application be made before the expiration of the primary applicant's COS or can the application made after the expiration?

Though I want the best option for all, cash availability is also a challenge, hence the aforementioned questions.

NB: Employer is an A rated Sponsor.

Thanks

Thank you for the response sir.
I have actually ticked 'No' for that.

The major issue is that I don't have documentation for the vaccines/immunization.
Will a blood test suffice?

NB: I still dey Naija oo
Lexusgs430:

You clearly work in the health sector...... If you have no documentations of immunisation coverage..... A simple blood test can ascertain coverage......

Either your GP or OH department, can undertake such test....

Do you have a visible BCG scar?....

TRAY2:

NHS Job is highly competitive at the moment, recruiters get applications from all over the world, so you have to stand out in order to be shortlisted for a face to face interview talk more of Skype, Try and repackage your Statement of Information to suit the Job specification you are applying for, do not use one SOI for different applications, also give professional references, then try and email the person in charge of the recruitment and the head of interview panel too, stating why you want to join the trust, your skills and competences and ask to be given the opportunity to discuss it with them. Just follow them up with emails, I noticed here in the UK,organisations like emails. I hope this would help.

Thanks Boss.
This is highly valuable. I appreciate

Hello E-Fam,

Good evening to you all. I have been a silent reader and observer on this thread for quite a while. I must confess that this thread has been of tremendous help to me.

Please I need help on genuine job agencies for healthcare professionals as I have applied for some roles within the NHS and got a few rejection mails. Perhaps, I am not getting it right somewhere...not sure though.

To my seniors in the house, are there some rules I need to follow as regards getting job invites? Do I need to get registered with agencies that are specifically for healthcare professionals?

Thanks

Happy weekend great people.

Alright.. Thanks for the clarification[/quote]

Good morning to all gurus in the house and other members.

So far, I noticed we have not actually discussed on the format for showing 'POF' especially in terms of valuation of assets (land, vehicles, shares etc).

Are there specific details we must put into consideration when trying to show POF (most especially in states like QLD and NT).

No one wants to make errors at this stage.

Can we please enumerate more on this?

Thanks

Hello Oga bellong, Oknee and other wonderful patriarchs in the house.

I have been a silent and consistent follower of this thread.
However, I'm presently at a crossroad! I need to pay my assessment fee (800AUD) but has been difficult AND I don't have a dorm account.
Please, is there anyone in Australia that can be of help. What other options do I have besides hurriedly opening a dorm account?
Thanks

So so sad. That health centre as well as other health centres within Lagos should be visited and equipped with both human and non-human resources.
Believe you me, the day my wife told me that she saw a woman during one of their ANCs in serious labour without being attended to (just because she left out a piece of the delivery materials) was the day I stopped her from using that health centre.
As much as it lies within your power, avoid them. If you can't, hope for a normal delivery.
If not, the doctors there don't even do CS. The patient will be referred to Igando.
Imagine, referring a woman in severe labour to Igando with the terrible traffic in Lagos now; your guess is as good as mine!!!!!
Beware all!!!

Family / Registry Marriage License And Church/white Wedding by Elderss: 5:46pm On Nov 07, 2014
Hello NairaLanders’

I have an important question to ask and I need genuine answers. This may help others from falling into errors.
To those who have done both the Church/White wedding and Registry registration (where you will be given a marriage license to take to the church prior to the church event and which must be returned to the registry after the event for proper filing and documentation), the question goes thus:

1) Can the church wedding be conducted outside the local government of the registry used for filing? (e.g going to Ikoyi registry for documentation and having the church wedding conducted at a church in Agege or Alimosho)
2) If No, why?

The reason for these questions is because a brother of mine was told that the license he was given at an ikoyi registry cannot be collected from him again because the church wedding was done at a church under Agege local govt.

Hoping for your contributions. Thanks
Health / Residency Suspension, Chronicles by Elderss: 9:40pm On Aug 16, 2014
RESIDENCY SUSPENSION;
CHRONICLES

Its no more news that the Federal
Govt yesterday suspended the
Residency training of Medical
doctors in Nigeria. The
announcement was greeted by
lamentations and thumpings
depending on the angle of impact.
This development however brings
to fore many issues but firstly, WHO
ARE RESIDENT DOCTORS??
Resident doctors can be simply
described as POST GRADUATE
DOCTORS IN TRAINING. Essentially,
they are TRAINEES seeking to
specialize in various fields of
medicine. Resident doctors are
highly priviledged in the sense that
while the FG TRAINS them, they are
fully paid for their services
rendered in the hospitals. Hence its
somewhat an IN SERVICE
TRAINING... Yet they added another
definition to themselves;
NOTORIETY FOR STRIKE ACTIONS
EVEN FOR FLIMSY REASONS...
Now, while no one begrudges the
NMA its rare priviledge of residency,
the NMA have overtly and covertly
done everything possible under the
sun to SELFISHLY frustrate the
constitution of residency in the
fields of NURSING, MEDICAL LAB
SCIENCES, PHARMACY and other
areas of medical practice. The NMA
especially the body of Resident
Doctors even went to the
ignominable extent of
THREATENING STRIKE ACTIONS if
the government dares to extend
these priviledges to other members
of the medical team!! For Nigerian
Physicians, Residency MUST BE FOR
THEM ALONE!!! As far as they are
concerned, IT WILL NO MORE BE
"RESIDENCY" IF PHARMACIST,
MEDICAL SCIENTISTS ET AL BENEFIT
FROM IT...
Its instructive to note that medical
practice is a MULTI-DISCIPLINARY
venture and as such advancement
of knowledge in all fields is
important for the general well
being of the PATIENT, who is at the
CENTRA of health care. Why then
would any reasonable man wish
and work towards frustrating
members of his own TEAM (a team
he claims to lead) from advancing
in knowledge It really beats
me!!
....and thus began a bitter struggle
for EMANCIPATION by the other
professionals in the health sector.
All professionals seek to be free
from the retrogressive grip of NMA
and its allies. The agitation for
Residency training by the other
professionals heightened amidst
stiff opposition from NMA.
Shockingly, NMA started
demanding for FOREIGN
RESIDENCY TRAINING WHILE AT
THE SAME TIME ANGLING AGAINST
EVEN "LOCAL" RESIDENCY FOR
OTHERS... Shocking and sad?
Certainly, the residency training is
just ONE OUT OF THOUSANDS of
inter-professional issues in the
health sector. With the hard stance
of NMA against the progress of
other members aggravating,
resentment and strife escalated.
Presently, it appears the FG has
woken up to the reality that the
health industry is not a CONCLAVE
FOR NMA ALONE and so makes
moves to RESTRUCTURE
RESIDENCY TRAINING in the nation.
Its instructive to know that what is
sauce for the goose should also be
sauce for the gander.
If and when the residency
programme will be restored, it
must cut across all relevant fields of
medical practice. Should the FG
succeed in doing that, it will signal
the FIRST STEP towards solving the
perenial problems in the health
sector. Advancement of knowledge
should be guaranteed across
board to enhance proper patient
care.

FOREST. "ONE TREE HILL" was only
