Kansas City, Missouri| A 26-year old morgue worker was arrested this morning after a DNA test revealed that her newborn child was the result of a necrophiliac intercourse with a man she was supposed to autopsy. Jennifer Burrows, an assistant pathologist with the Jackson County medical examiner services, is accused of having sex with dozens of corpses over the course of the last two years, a behavior which led the birth of a baby boy on January 7. According to the Kansas City Missouri Police Department, her baby is the son of man who died in a car accident in March 2015, and whose body she was supposed to autopsy. They allege that she Ms. Burrows sexually abused more than 60 other dead bodies, belonging to males from 17 to 71 years old. “We opened an investigation about this case in October after we were informed that the suspect may have been sexually abusing corpses,” Police Chief Forté told reporters. “We accumulated enough evidence over the last few months to obtain a warrant for a paternity test on her newborn son. It confirmed our suspicions, that the father of her child was, indeed, a 57-year old veterinarian from Texas who was driving through the county when he had a fatal car accident. All the evidence that we have gathered suggests that he had never met Ms. Burrows before his demise and that he was already dead when the baby was conceived.” kansascitypolice The KCMO Police Chief, Darryl Forté, briefly commented Ms. Burrows’ arrest this morning during a press conference, calling it “one of the most sordid case he has seen in his career”. There are currently no laws (state or federal) governing or explicitly outlawing the practice of necrophilia, since the corpse is considered human remains and no longer living. Therefore, it is technically legal in the state of Missouri, and Ms Burrows’ actions are judged as an indecent treatment of a corpse. She is facing a total of 158 charges, including indecent treatment of a corpse, disorderly conduct, indecent exposure and possession of illegal drugs. The psychologists and experts that we interviewed were divided in their interpretation of Ms Burrows’ case. Some, Like Professor Isabella Ramirez of the University of Missouri, believe that the young woman was suffering from a psychosis and had, at least partially, lost contact with reality. Others, like Dr Gerald Porter, a well-known psychologist and expert in sexual disorders associated with the Institute of Psychological Sciences, believe that the accused is clearly a compulsive necrophiliac, and that her choice of profession was inspired by her sexual deviation in the first place. All seem to agree, however, that the 26-year old woman was suffering from mental problems and that she will probably register a plea of insanity. http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/morgue-worker-arrested-after-giving-birth-to-a-dead-mans-baby/comment-page-1/#comments |

Chinese Youths in Lagos have concluded plans to honour the Area Commander in-charge of D division in Mushin, Lagos state, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Akinbayo Olasoji in a ceremony billed on Sunday. In a statement, the youths said they have observed the way the Area Commander carried out his tasks diligently leading to the reduction of crime in all areas he served. According to the youths, he has renovated the office premises and changed the entire environment making police stations more user- friendly and a pleasant place to visit. The knack for professional ethics and scrupulous determination coupled with hard work, have yielded desired results within the short time he took over the mantle of leadership as the Commander, Area D, Mushin. The uncommon expertise and zeal he carried out his duties diligently resulted to the success recorded recently in troubled areas at Mushin. “The raid at the notorious black spots at Akala, Olosha, Alakara, Idi-Araba and other areas in Mushin and the arrest of large number of drug addicts thereby crippling the criminal activities of drug barons and cartels in the area, is heart-warming. The area has hitherto been a place where physical assault, bodily harm, murder, smashes and grab, intermittent house breaking and hemp smoking was the order of the day but ACP Olasoji had made it to become a safe place for all now.” The event which will take place at the Area command headquarters will kick off by 1pm tomorrow. Confirming the ceremony, ACP Olasoji said he will dedicate the honour to the Commissioner of Police; Imohimi Edgal whom he said has succeeded in piloting the affairs of policing in the state admirably and recorded many success since he assumed office. Esseite:How Do the Chinese, Germans ,Arabs etc learn those terms? |
Mynd44, I know you were making an example with the nuclear physics and igala yeah, but in that same line, how would the next nuclear physicist be properly trained to world recognition when the books which should train him best, the words and Dynamics are in English? Can we define equilibrium or thermodynamic in ibibio or kanuri? In essence it may be great for our culture but detrimental on a wider scale and it's insistence most in public school would widen that academical gap already between the private and public schools
How Do the Chinese, Germans ,Arabs etc learn those terms? |

Lagos – Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State on Tuesday directed that students in public and private schools in the state should sing the National Anthem in Yoruba Language daily, to preserve and promote the Yoruba culture. The Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat Adebule, relayed the directive at a meeting with Principals and Head Teachers of public schools in Lagos. Akinwunmi Ambode She said that Yoruba Language would also be made a compulsory subject for students. Gov. Ambode had signed the Yoruba Language Preservation and Promotion Bill into Law on Feb. 8. Adebule said that Wednesdays had been declared ‘Yoruba Speaking Day’ in schools, with all teaching and learning activities from assembly period to closing being done in Yoruba. ”Gov. Ambode wants me to pass this message to you, that henceforth, Yoruba language be made compulsory in both private and public schools. ”The National Anthem must be sung in Yoruba on a daily basis too. “The Egbe Akomolede has done the translation and we will send the copies of the Yoruba version to your schools by Monday so you can begin to teach the students. ”I have also met with the owners of private schools and we have relayed this directive to them. ”We are also considering translating the textbooks of other subjects into Yoruba Language because I believe that when students are taught in their mother language, learning will be easy and their level of performance will improve. ”The state government is passionate about this Law, so we do not lose our language, culture and heritage,” she said. Adebule said the Ministry of Education was doing an assessment to ascertain the number of Yoruba teachers that would be required to effectively teach the language in public schools. She appealed to the school managers to cooperate with the government to drive and ensure the effective implementation of the Yoruba Language Preservation and Promotion Law. Mr Lanre Ogunyemi, Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Education, said at the event that the development would be beneficial to the younger generation and generations unborn. ”In Finland, you must pass the Finnish Language before you are offered admission into high institutions. Same is done in Germany, China and other developed countries. ”We need to adopt such to drive development and foster national unity. I beg you all to key into this law and make it work, ” Ogunyemi said. Reacting, Mr Mamodu Braimoh, Assistant Secretary, Nigeria Union of Teachers, Lagos Chapter, commended the state government for the development.
