It has inconsistently caprices from appointments, marginalisation, poor road infrastructure or federal projects in the South East. Some misguided ones among the agitators have liken so called Nnamdi Kalu to Martin Lurther King, Mandela etc. But we all know that Mandela and MKL were black or African human right activists , who fought for black political freedoms and right to vote and be voted for. Is that the same case with Nnamdi? NO.
It is a fact of history that many Igbo sons and daughters have occupied every position at the Federal level from the President ,VP, Military second in Command, Minsters, Ambassadors etc.. Have the Igbos compiled a list of all Federal appointments , Ministers, DGs, MDs, Ambassadors, Perm Secs. Have the Igbos not more than represented when you compare with other ethnic groups like Tivs, Ijaws, Idomas, Biroms etc or is it that they are not part of Nigeria?

The culture of mass protests, human right activism and mass mobilization to fight for a cause is a kind of science, culture driven by critical intelligence not by emotions which shall fade out when hunger and fatigue set in. Suffice to say that, all these characteristics are not Igbo insignia for making a political statement and is alien to the Igbo ways of political struggle.
In contemporary Nigeria Nd'igbo has never had the history of political protests for anything Nigeria even against any military regime or annulment of June 12 elections. The Igbo political elites have always been at the forefront in the setting up of 'we beg the President to contest' groups.

Where is ABN (NZERIBE), YEAA ( KANU) and lately TAN of Ifeanyi Uba, these are purely Igbo vehicles for the actualisation of power for any government in power and most resoundedly for incompetent and corrupt Mr Goodluck Jonathan`s 3rd term? It would be foolhardy for anyone to believe that, street protests in any nation, especially Nigeria had forced any government to release any terrorist on trial for treason.[/b]
