You are better off if you have a deposit starting the process and learning along the way. I got told I couldn’t get one before staying for two years and I did it in a year. I got rejected from a couple lenders but eventually one came through. A sound broker is the most important element as they will help you navigate things.
Wow. This is the encouragement that I need. I actually believe the two-year stuff can be varied especially for some of us here in the northern England. If I have my 20k for a 200k property after 1 year of stable income should be enough

No it is not, but bear in mind that some lenders will require you meet certain residency conditions before you can access competitive deals.
Thank you for this

Justwise, wherever you are, I am sending you Love. Lots of Love. I guess there is no point restating that I (probably a couple of others too) miss you on this thread.
Please come back to us.
I'm back my people. This time around, I come in another form to test some people whether they will believe me or not. So what has been happening lately?

Please make you na save me oooo.

I have car insurance with Marshmallow since May 2023. Someone hit my car on March 5 and I made a no fault claim. The other insurance coy has paid me and I requested Marshmallow to cancel my insurance. Since march 10, they have been dilly dally and I keep following up just 25 March, they came back to me that they have got a response from their claim dept that my non fault claim has been settled and that they will inform another dept to cancel my insurance. Since then I haven't heard anything despite several follow ups. Now they wanted to take another premium subscription from the DD and I blocked it sharply. Please how do I handle this case? Who should I report them to? They seem to be fraudulent and I notice they usually market only the new immigrants on their Facebook ads. My wife insurer app has a cancellation button, this Marshmallow does not even have so you are at their mercy to cancel. People should stay away from them oh

Note; The reason for requesting to stop the insurance is because the vehicle was deemed a total and I have collected money for the preloss value. Thank you

It is a very simple case. If she is a dependant, all she needs to do is to engage a lawyer and apply for LR and she will continue to renew it. I have people that got LR just because she got job after school but has no dependant and she gave birth to a son during study. Those guys largely considers what they would lose if you leave too, so far you have a job and not a liability, then you can get any visa to extend your stay

Good morning people of God and traditionalist😃. I currently pay about 1k pounds monthly for childcare and I have been looking forward to seeing how the upcoming changes in the child care affect us positively. To my surprise however, it seems we are not entitled to the 15 hours commencing in April. I want the house to help me look at it whether I'm the one not interpreting it well. Ejoor😀 1k no be moinmoin every month.

Does if mean if you have no recourse to public fund, you are not entitled to 15 hours free of child care if you above 26k outside London? Is there any alternative?

My question- is there any law that prohibits me from taking another employment in this youkay?

I have been seeing some Interim roles that I feel I can combine with my work without any issue.

Advice oh before grammarian will review my post

So I just got a credit card with high interest rate. The rate doesn't bother me anyway because my intention is to use the card to buy things from Asda for instance and then pay back to boost my credit limit limit and score. My question us this, should I always wait for them to send me statement or I should just return the money used as soon as I used it. Please help so as to avoid paying interest. Thanks.

To whom it may concern.

Abortion is free of charge. Please note.

If you are on a student visa, no go get pregnant oh cos it may affect your stay unless your husband has got a COS and and take care of the family.

If you are here on care visa, no go get pregnant and then be looking for a way around. Many people are still looking for COS so don't spoil market fir them and for yourselves. A company that issues COS for you has an expectation and such must be met. If you need to born due to age, then your husband should go get COS. It is as simple as that.

Make una no go consult one useless union to fight for you oh, nobody will fight for you and if they Don, you are at risk of losing your visa. He who seeks equity, must do equity.

I do not have experience with car but I will ask; Have you done an HPI Check?
You could use totalcarcheck (dot) co (dot) uk used to be about £8.99 or £14.99 for their premium package, 3 checks I believe.

Here is a checklist someone posted some time ago on this forum

Buying a car

Thank you so much for this robust response. I will follow through

- Ensure during your test drive, upon set off, the automatic gearbox is not jerky
- Check the spare tyre well, is dry.
- Check the rear mats area is dry
- Ensure no bangs and knocks from suspension is observed
- Check MOT history from government website
- Conduct an HPI vehicle check
- Check that AC is blowing cold......

I have a question here please.

A recently graduated student in youkay got a care COS in England but has not used it to apply for visa. He also got another health care job in Scotland but the coy in scotland is not able to generate a new COS for him because they said it is showing on the system that he has a COS. This person preferred Scotland to England. Please advise on what he needs to do.

Note. I have not seen a case like this before, what I always know is someone switching from an existing COS to an undefined COS
Please everyone I need your opinion on the above. Lexusgs430, other elders in the house and anyone who has a similar experience. Thanks

Hi everyone,
I just registered with Mashmallow Insurance with my UK provisional driver's license.

I indicated that I had driven for 13 years while back in Nigeria and made no claims before coming to the UK.

Now the vehicle insurance is requesting a "proof of your no-claims discount." How do I go about this?

Your kind advice is needed.

Thanks
My insurance is with marshmallow as well and it is almost a year now. I have a 4-year no claim discount with them. What I did was to request mutual benefit insurance in nigeria to give me a letter of no claim from them and I uploaded it. After like 3 working days, marshmallow came back to say that they ve accepted my NCD. I guess they validated it. You can do same as long as you left your former insurer on a good note.

Lol. Two things:

1. I wasn't impolite. I responded and gave actionable advice. I even suggested keywords instead of just saying 'go to Google'.
2. If they follow my advice, they'd get where they need to be in two clicks. Yours would take three, and involve more time and uncertainty.

Your being sanctimonious to me might feel good, but it's actually not helpful if you don't prompt people to learn how to sort basic things out. Think: Will they come on Nairaland every time they want to apply for something in the UK? In asking people for such things, won't they be at risk of being given false information when they could simply do basic research and find the info they need?
Continue to speak grammar. You go explain tire. Just go back and read your response again and put yourself in the shoe of the person that asked the question. I have realised from experience that, no question is stupid when it comes to immigration. Please let him ask and I repeat again, kindly ask any question if you are unsure. Nobody can provide fake information here and people trust the information they get here which is why they are comfortable to ask. Ask ohhh it is life and death matter

Hi Chief. I am currently on ICAN skills, remaining Performance Management and Financial Reporting to clear skills, I started with no exemptions because my first degree is in science. My last diet was May 2023. I am confused if I should continue with ICAN considering my place is far from the exam location, the cost and acceptability in UK. I am thinking of starting ACCA or CIMA outrightly... Please I need your advice.

Others' advice welcome too. Tx.

Happy New Year all.
My advice: If you are sure of completing ICAN in another 1 year then go for it. If you are not sure, start your ACCA immediately. Please note than ICAN is not a limitation here but it is always good to have their certification as well. ICAN was given birth to by ICAEW.

Conduct a pre MOT inspection check yourself.......

- Check all your tyres are within legal limits.....
- Check all your lights...
- Check your seatbelts......
- Ensure no warning lights are on.....
- Check your wiper blades .....
- Check your wiper water reservoir is got fluids and clearing your windscreen......
- Ensure your discs and pads are not pitted......
- The body of your vehicle, must not have any dangerous sticking objects......
- Remove air freshener, from rear view mirror...
- Ensure no phone holders are obstructing views.....
Etc etc etc etc .......🤣😁
Thank you so much for this detail. I will do it ASAP. In the event that any of the above fails the pre mot test, should I fix them before taking it for MOT or I should just wait till MOT day assuming I won't be driving it until after MOT

Hello everyone

I’m a chartered accountant from Nigeria and looking towards a UK recognised certification.

Just completed my MSc in Finance and torn between enrolling for CIMA or ACCA.

Can anyone advise?
You will spend a lot writing ACCA again. If you are in England, use your ICAN for pathway to ICAEW. You are good
