So someone told me a rooted an android phone with an external fault like faulty charging port or earpiece port, cannot be repaired. Problem is, my rooted android has a faulty charging port. Phone tech gurus, how true is the rumour? |
About one of every four students I know is down... Itz like a bad joke, the way it's spreading so fast. |
kunbit:What kind of renovation are you talking about? Do you understand the meaning of renovation? Please state examples, and should there be any (which I doubt) I guess it should be easy to see I said most of the structures were not renovated since the 80s, not all. |
tayebest:Thanks man. Means I'm not starved like some people. |
I apologise for any typographical error in this post, they are due to the inescapable and irresistible aroma of this delicious meal on my table. With respect to those who have posited that the students are to be blamed for the decrepit state of OAU's hostels and lecture theatres, I should note here that some of, or rather most of, these rotten structures were last renovated in the 80s. I concede that students should have maintained these structures better, but there's is little saving to be done when all has been lost for so long. And in this vein, the school management has only accelerated the decay; rooms meant for two in the 1990s are now allocated to 6 and those created for 4 are now assigned for occupation by twelve. The congestion is further made dire by reason of "squatting"; so many students are left without an assigned bedspace, so they end up squeezing in with already "overcapacitated" rooms. In some dire cases, which are several, 16-20 students make a 2-occupant room their abodes. Such is the overcrowding that loss of property is like loss of hair. Because of the congestion and overpopulation, anything left functional is easily lost to overuse and misuse. An electric socket in a room bears the load of 20 or more phones, laptops, lamps, etc. The only remaining WC toilet on a storey house is barraged day in day out by over 100 people. To talk of the cleanliness of the water usually supplied in most hostel would be largely unnecessary, as pictures of "Omi Omole" are everywhere on the Internet. Most of the lecture theatres, laboratories and edifices the institution prides itself on are rotten and their once-state-of-the-art equipments dysfunctional. I would continue talking about other sore sights, but as I'm busy devouring a long-missed dish at home, I'll just shut up here, and plead with whoever is offended by this to please forgive me. I don't want to lose anything because of a post on the Internet like so many people have. |
Please my hot2 isn't taking pictures! When I open the camera app it asks me to insert Memory card, and I have 8 gig memory left. It was taking pictures when I bought it, but it isn't anymore. I'm really tired, please help o! |
Does anyone know anything about the Faculty of Arts? With respect to any lecture timetable? |
But how stupid are you people? If you read something as controversial as this on some attention-starving blog the least you could do is a small Google search, the Internet would be aflame with it. I did just that now, and I can't see anything of that nature anywhere on any major tabloid. They should surely speak a whole lot about it if he said anything like that. He'd be losing the entire African American vote, as well as the white ones who believe in racial equality, which is a greater part of the population. Be sensible. |
I'd like to invite the robbers to Awolowo hall of the greatest Ife. They'll be the one's shut down systematically with maximum shishi . Won fe la ni :-D |
buh, some people be like "this infinix crap is so crappy my little brother doesn't deserve to endure using it. can you imagine you can't even increase backlight or play games", and they've never used an android phone! they just see the phone and go" it doesn't even have keypad. As in seriously? some people are just badmouthing it without ever even seeing it, just believing that tecno can't make good phones because they are tecno. people really need to start using time profitably. I've been using the Hot2, and all I've got to say about it is this, IT FUCKING ROCKS AS SEVEN HEVEANS! I have used a number of phones, including the Galaxy S3,and is say I prefer the Hot2 with its Androidone to it..My biggest surprise is I don't have any of the problems people are Tallinn about here with it.I guess I see answers where they see questions and can't get over it. |
If anyone is reading this.. I have fears that haunt my dreams Fill my mornings with paralysing worries Fill my noons with heavy eyed suspicions And my nights with cold, puzzled questions I have fears enthroned on my crest I have doubts inscribed upon my chest And when I seek answers in the bronze perch Of my Bible, I find I’m too scared to search I have fears that haunt my dreams And I may find where peace redeems The soul from slow, cold decay, and Greek Then my nights may bring the rest I seek This poem is about the internal struggles many people are caught up in. Life throws enough at us everyday to get us thinking, and fearing what may come next. I hope you liked it. Do check out my , silverblade7.

Since his second year in office, the state Government under the leadership (if we may call it that) of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has introduced a pension scheme (or scam) for all workers in the state. A fraction, and a good fraction at that, of workers' salaries is removed every month and "saved" for them to be used to fund their pension upon retirement. I do not believe this practice is legal, or is it? Shouldn't pensions be funded by the government? But that ain't the grand shit. This pension scheme, called FIDELITY PENSION I think, does nothing it is said to be doing. Each deduction is made, but clearly no storage of any sort is happening. Before the workers stopped getting paid, whenever the Fidelity pension alert was received for, say, March 2014, the alert states that the deduction for the month of February 2006 has been made. The next month may then be for December 2009. The account it is supposed to be remitted to itself is non-existent. I know about this cos I'm directly affected by it. Such ludicrous practices must not be allowed to continue. I think the workers have not been saying anything about it yet cos they're yet to receive even the leftover. So, I hope somehow the right people get to know about this quick. This our governor is a maniac |
I was just trying to play a video file when I accidentally set Internet Explorer as default and then all my programs changed their icons to the Internet Explorer and are opening with it. I'm worried dead. Please help. |
Being of the greatest ife, I must tell you what I think of the Hezekiah Oluwasanmi library. I think the building's exterior isn't specially appealing, just rugged and slightly intimidating for freshers. But inside, man you'll find the only thing intimidating is its glassy beauty. Second year in the great ife, and I'll tell you something I've come to learn ; if you leave a university with little more than a degree, you just went to get a piece of paper with words, and words that probably will help you little. You can't have that at the Oba's compound. |
tundamartin:I stated clearly in the post all that you have stated, and in the light of the claims of vindication by supporters of the PDP, an assessment may be early, but not premature. Thanks for the 'awful' though. Makes me feel satisfied, just like you seem to be about the current state of the nation. |
I'll make no tale of this. I think, from a view not advised by party propaganda or alignment, that so far the APC-Buhari administration has been unable to conjure any better than the PDP-Jonathan regime did. It must also be noted that despite the high hopes many Nigerians had of an overnight turn of fortunes, it is still early days. If the first days and weeks of a four-year rule are as disorganized, uncertain and volcanic ( if I may describe it thus). One may be worried for the rest. But I think the uncertainty and restlessness can be attributed to two factors. 1: THE APC WHERE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT BEING A STRONG OPPOSITION IN THEIR BID TO TOPPLE THE PDP, THAN ACTUALLY PLANNING A GOVERNMENT. They were consumed by the desire to take over power, and it appears boxers, and Chelsea, are more concerned about winning the title than what to do after it. It is indeed a scary prospect in governance. The PDP had been incumbent for the greater part of Nigeria's democratic history, and toppling them would be a serious challenge. So serious you can easily forget it is easier to win a title than to defend it. The APC and their supporters will not concur, but truth does. 2: THE PDP HAVE BEEN IN POWER FOR SO LONG THEY KNOW WHERE TO HIT THEM, and having left enough mess to deal with for centuries, they have now sat back to harangue and harass the Buhari administration in their bid to turn things around in Four years. It will not surfice to throw stones and point fingers. Nigeria has problems, and Nigerians need to put sentiments and personal interest aside and try to face the future. But this we can be sure of, the best government we can have will not be from a Mega-party. I'll pause now, for a few months maybe. |

Oya tell me the theme I'm using |
Some people spoil good humour with sadistic seriousness, and think they deserve an applause. |
While osundefender.org still has the headline post "ogbeni well done : osun last in allocation but first in poverty reduction", the people of osun state are still languishing in hunger. One is left wondering who were the beneficiaries of the poverty reduction. The post mentioned above outlines how the State government has had a deficient allocation, a claim recently rebuffed by Prez Buhari. So eight months since workers last received their pay, and eight months since the fortunes of all in the state ( except our able governor) started dwindling fast. The state workers, I mean the entire state workforce, have suspended their functions since prior to the inauguration of the new president. The most remarkable occurrence since then, to me at least, is that the government seems not to know about it. It seems the government is not aware that the entire workforce of the state have been on strike. They don't even talk about it, not to talk of talking with the workers. And even you guys, fellow Nigerians, seem unconcerned. #bringbackourgirls trended all around the world because 200 girls were kidnapped, but no one is saying anything about how the lives of thousands of people people and their families are having their lives snatched from them. The social media response to the injustice has been wonderful I say. But then, eight months since you pay your workers and nearly a month since the strike, what is going through the mind of Aregbesola the state Governor? |
Rooneyboy:With WordPress you can allow others post topics and even help with the administration. You can set the degree of involvement allowed too. |

Yeah, he deserves the nomination, and nothing more than that. And so does Harry Kane and David De Gea. |
Love this. Thumbs up |
Scythes of the golden eastern Horizon Flashing in the red of the sun Cutting from from that end to that end Of the celestial lawn Wings of easter bearing tales of freedom Dark wings, dark words on dark souls Leaping from hade's shoulders With a gold bow , and diamond arrows Put down ; quietum harsh The Lord has broken the dark fetters of sheol Here they are now, the glad spirits Grace on the wings We also with thanksgiving in joined hands Receive your blest tidings |
It's my birthday morning I woke up to chats and laughs Akin to those of sneering hyenas From my roommates plotting my downing My spirit buzzed with joy But my limbs quaked and my skin froze With fear, fear of an hundred buckets of cold water Belts, cassava powder, and varieties of Grimy fluids I'd rather not think of. I cuddled closer to my blanket like it was snowing in. My phone buzzed to life as birthday wish After birthday wish flew in, warming my heart. But just then a roommate approached With a smile none less sinister Than Adolf Hitler smiling at a jew. My heart lept cold. I flew out of my room chased by my friends Each branding a bucket Or bowl of torture. I escaped. And here I am, safe, but in the open Anticipating attack, with only my underwears on. As my skin tingles with goosebumps Writing this cold, frightened poem I ask you all, what exactly is a birthday about? |
Is the electorate ready? Is Inec ready? Are we ready for change or persistent on continuity? Is Nigeria really ready? We've never been ready for anything before. INEC always fail to provide good electioneering conditions everywhere in the country, people always create hassles and complications on election days, our national football teams always face last minute challenges in players and staff, our policemen are never ready to face armed robbers till they get away... We are never ready. Are we ready? |
I'll just put it straight to you, What is the current economic situation in your family right now? How is it affecting you? You can also state the state you're in. For me, being dependent on my parents' income, and almost entirely on my mom's as a civil servant, being in school coping with the demands of great Ife, it's been anything but easy since recently. My brother, who is also in a state university where the tuition fee is more than thrice mine, is enough a direction of expenditure for my family. But having to cope with two such directions.. |
BodyKiss:So I should just say Buhari's government will be corruption free and Nigerians will get the riches they deserve? |
