The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, has approved the indefinite suspension of two Commissioners.

Naija News reports that the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Stanley Lebechi Mbam, and the Commissioner for Infrastructure Development for Concession, Engr. Ogbonnaya Obasi Abara, were both suspended over alleged dereliction of duty.

The decision was conveyed in a statement issued on Saturday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor.

According to the statement, the two commissioners are to immediately relinquish their positions and hand over all government property in their possession.

“The Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has approved the indefinite suspension from office of Engr. Stanley Lebechi Mbam, Hon. Commissioner for Works and Engr. Ogbonnaya Obasi Abara, Hon. Commissioner for Infrastructure Development for Concession for dereliction of duties,” the statement read in part.

It added that the affected officials “are to handover all Government property in their possession including their official vehicles to the Secretary to the State Government with immediate effect.”

Does it mean that APGA will be the authentic winner of the election the both candidates of APC & PDP having previously resigned and communicated INEC officially?

Ekuma was suspended for three (3) months, while Ori was suspended indefinitely. Ori was accused to have derilled on his duty, while Ekuma was suspended for misconduct.

This is to inform the general public and all candidates who chose Ebonyi State University (EBSU) as first choice and those that chose other institutions but are willing to change to EBSU as first choice candidate; and scored 140 and above in the 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination (UTME) to visit our web site and fill our Post UTME form with full details of their credentials. The application starts from 23rd July, 2024 and ends 23rd August, 2024.
Candidates are expected to pay non refundable fee of N2,000.00 naira only for the Post UTME.
Candidates are to note the following:
Candidates awaiting the results of NABTEB Olevel, WAEC (May/June) and NECO (June/July) 2024 are eligible to apply
Inconsistency in name is not acceptable to the university and may lead to disqualification. Candidates' names on their O' Level certificates and UTME results and other registration documents must be the same.
Candidates are not required to appear for physical screening
Candidates will be notified of their admission status via EBSU portal
Candidates must upload their Olevel results to EBSU portal and on JAMB portal before they can be recommended for admission
An offer of admission must be accepted by the candidate on CAPS or JAMB portal within TWO (2) weeks and if not accepted within the period it is withdrawn.
