since the purported upgrade of the website, the cac site is a total mess. very unresponsive, slow and virtually unusable. Even some of the previously entered data are either missing or totally different from actual entered details. I nor know who send them to upgrade the site. Totally frustrating. |

Rohr was ..and is still a good coach. His technical prowess (coaching is more than this alone) is in doubt though and seriously needs to attend refresher courses. I was shocked with his line up against Madagascar and his defensive approach. His problem is that he seems confused at times and very unwilling to take a risk but I don't advocate for him to be sacked because he has given us certain stability. He should be encouraged to refresh his expertise just like the NFF has rightly done. |

Politics / Re: BREAKING: We Didn’t Transmit Results Electronically – INEC Chair by elldeb101(m): 9:08pm On Jul 17, 2019 |
hush15:It was local..that is why each card reader was assigned to a unique particular unit. Each polling unit data was already loaded into the memory of the card reader at INEC Headquarters before disbursement to each polling unit so that voters details can be verified without back server needed. this was why areas without internet access could be accredited and vote as well. |
Politics / Re: BREAKING: We Didn’t Transmit Results Electronically – INEC Chair by elldeb101(m): 11:48am On Jul 17, 2019 |
unitysheart:That was why I said the INEC chairman should have said the server results were not used because it was not consistent to what they had on paper rather than denying its existence. |

hush15:Accreditation was done locally without need for internet connection but to achieve almost a 100 percentile voter accreditation is suspect and plainly fraudulent. 1 Like |

TGM2015:It is either you have choose to purposely not understand my explanation or you have no ideal what I was Trying to explain. I will do you the honour of trying to explain again without insulting you. Card readers uses sim cards which can be used to access the internet. Card readers were loaded with data for each polling unit, a reason they could not be used in another polling unit so that they can verify voters within that unit (locally) without the need for internet connection. This will also reduce the amount of time and traffic congestion that would have occurred if done centrally. After conclusion of counting by presiding officers, they can then connect to the internet and send their result to a receiving central server (PO were given username and password to do this) which was meant to collate the result from all units. Now it is possible that some units could not send their results due to network challenges or other reasons which accounted for the variation in the server result and actual physical result. If you still do not understand, then I give up on you. |

smirn:I hope you know that card readers are basically POS that are configured differently? ...and that they can be programmed to store and retrieve data locally as well as send information over a network through the use of sim cards? I only wonder if you know what a server is and how it actually works because of your statement in bold. It falls short of gross ignorance. |
Politics / Re: BREAKING: We Didn’t Transmit Results Electronically – INEC Chair by elldeb101(m): 9:09pm On Jul 16, 2019 |
TGM2015:you are wrong. accreditation of details of users were done locally (without internet) within the card reader. That was while card readers were not interchangeable in polling units. Results can then be sent to a central server requiring a network access. |
Politics / Re: BREAKING: We Didn’t Transmit Results Electronically – INEC Chair by elldeb101(m): 9:05pm On Jul 16, 2019 |
unitysheart:did it also occur to you that accreditation of voters might have been done locally within the card reader ( A reason the card readers were not interchangeable )so as to allow for a fast and easy process thereby avoiding network congestion that may occur if done centrally?.....and that results can then be transferred to the central server by preceding officers to allow for easy collation? The result on the server was different from the actual one collated manually because some units probably could not transmit their result due to network issues or other reasons. |
Politics / Re: BREAKING: We Didn’t Transmit Results Electronically – INEC Chair by elldeb101(m): 8:23pm On Jul 16, 2019 |
onegig:Don't you also think that it is possible to store and access voter details locally (reason why card readers were unique and not interchangeable) while the result was sent via network since the card readers are basically POS with internet access using sim cards? Mind you..I am not interested in whether ATIKU wins in the tribunal or not as it makes no difference to me. I just don't want these people to take us all for a ride after shouting server and even budgeting for it before election only to tell us it was not used. He should have just said some polling units could not their transmit their result to the server due to network issue and that is why the result on the server was different from the actual collated result....Period. |
Politics / Re: BREAKING: We Didn’t Transmit Results Electronically – INEC Chair by elldeb101(m): 8:14pm On Jul 16, 2019 |
Yusman316:No it did not but presiding officers were given password and username to enter the result from their polling units into the card reader which is basically a POS with network access. |

Ijaya123:That is not the point....It is just the blatant lie from this man that is worrisome.... In-fact, Presiding Officers during the election were given username and password to login into a portal to send their polling unit results to the server. You can confirm this from them if you know any. The question is.... why is he denying it? 1 Like |
