Finally my wife”s visa is here. Our timeline is as follows:
(Permit type = Blue card).
1. Booked appointment on 1/Mar/2022.
2. Got appointment email on the 27/March/2023 against appointment date of 17/April/2023.
3. Did appointment on the 17/Apr/2023.
4. I the husband, personally went to ABH with all the documents that i expect them to request from me on the on 6/June/2023. The lady told me our application arrived their office 5/June/2023. (I live in a small city😁)
5. ABH approved our visa and replied me a week after.
6. 22/June/2023 , Lagos requested our travel documents.
8. 10/Jul/2023 visa was received by my wife.
Our process from interview lasted from 17/April/2023 to 10/Jul/2023.

Note: there was no lawyer verification and no money was collected for it. No language was requested also.

Just curious.

I have the EU Blue Card, my wife went for re-union appointment at the embassy this week and was not asked to pay for verification fee.

A friend's (who does not have the Blue Card, normal work visa) wife I know went also in March and was not asked to pay. ABH wrote him in April, like 6 weeks after the appointment to submit some required documents as per usual.

I am now wondering, has the process changed since this year? Is there no more verification somehow?

Please reply if you went this year and what was your experience.

PS: If you paid for verification, do you have a child? I think they always do verification for people with a +1. I'm trying to see if there is a pattern here. Thanks

Hey.. I also hold a blue card. My wife had her interview 5weeks ago. The verification money was not collected so also the VO said language is not need. We hope not to see surprises.

Yes. Applied for my spouse 1/March/2022. Got an email on the 24/March/2023. Interview was last week 17/04/2023.

No need Bro, just email them ur intended date of travel... Your passport will be stamped and your docs returned before that date in order for you to travel.

You should wait to hear back from the embassy if that is acceptable or not. Although I haven't heard of a case like this before but let me ask, is any of your course modules going to be taken in German? If so, the embassy could be requesting for a German language certificate. However, if you are sure knowledge of German is not required then sit back and wait for embassy's feedback regarding your TOEFL.

I only have an online test report of TOEFL, i havnt received original cert from ETS..so i replied the embassy mail with my online print out of TOEFL result.

Please does anyone have idea if that online TOEFL report will be accepted by the embassy?
