Where are all you guys now ? e-commerce my foot. We Just another bunch of start and finish projects in Nigeria. When would we learn to pull resources together and get something done well for the first time ?234 World ko whogobuy ni!! |
@Kachi_face....Very Pathetic I would say. Here was a man touting how much we should believe in Nigerian e-commerce sites. After should I say 5 years one still can not navigate to catalogue. As at today 11th May 2012 if you click on catalogue on 234world it will take you to 234World Customer care. Na wao! Na real wa! After all the effort and resources invested in this crap called 234 World portal nothing to show for it except buggy and over bloated interface. We should all learn from stuffs like this. We have a record of poor finishing in Nigeria and we are quick to rush into the market. Anyway lesson learned... |
Was Interswitch hacked? (April 21, 2012 3:20am) Guys please check.
|
Zeritron Limited is still here after 7 years of working with and serving corporate organizations, hospitals, schools, churches etc. |
Na wao! |
I were to be in Innoson MD/CEO shoes this is what I would do. Ask Lagos State and Enugu Govt to allow my company add 3-5 buses to their fleet at no cost. After 6 months watch what will happen. So long as the buses stand the test of time the rest is history, BTW: Banning importation of items does not encourage competition instead creating enabling environment to compete with other brands/products. I told a group of graduating students recently that if there is conducive atmosphere for investment in Nigeria (Power, Good transportation network etc.) vertical companies like Apple, Microsoft, Google would beg Nigerian govt to build factories in Nigeria. |
NLanders and their bring-down syndrome. Human beings are naturally envious and the ability to do otherwise is divine. I am not Rochas spokesperson but logic, common sense and positive mental attitude require that there is a possibility that this could be inline with "so many other" programmes by the Imo State Administration to encourage students and empower them at the same time. Like the saying "there are only three kinds of people in the world. 1. Those who make things happen. 2. Those who watch things happen. and 3. Those who complain about things happening. Ask urself which one are you? |
HOLY DAVID and ANGEL GABRIEL put together. And who says he did not put those things in place. ![]() |
Hear this. Get a decent land in one of the private estates in Mowe or it's environs etc for say N500k. At least you are sure of security and not under pressure to develop. With N1.2m, you can do foundation and 2 room BQ (move it back). Use N200k to start a small business on the land (Kiosk/Tuck shop). Wit the rest of the money manage with Taxi/Red Cab etc (you can have one or two Taxi drivers who you could call at a short notice and can book for a whole day if the need arises). Believe me it's easier than you think. |
Software developers, designers, architects etc. are welcome to join Software Developers Association Nigeria |
Email sent to your hotmail account. rgds |
Thanks BOLAJIAJANI. I think in the absence of different ideas, we should go ahead with your suggestion which is Creating a collaboration platform from scratch will take extra time, we can just install a forum software(e.g SMF used by NL on any available domain/subdomain for the purpose of building the community portal. We make the forum private, which means membership will be given to trusted members/developers/designers helping on the project and General discussion will continue on NL.Further discussions with regards to the association itself will be via email and on the communication platform. Expect my email ASAP. Any interested developer who wish to join this association and contribute to our ailing industry can do so by sending an email to join@sda.com.ng I wish to use this opportunity to thank everybody for their contributions and support. rgds |
Thanks Fayimora for your contribution. We would appreciate and be grateful to get more feedback from others. Again thanks. rgds |
Thanks BOLAJIAJANI for the spirited defense. First of all I wish to thank Fayimora for his contribution. Sincerely if we do not know how people look at issues, we would never know how to address them and that is one of the reasons we want other guys to contribute. This started as an idea sometime ago and we discussed about having a "programmers' Conference" In Nigeria - you know get together, share ideas, collaborate, empower ourselves etc. We called for a meeting and asked people to declare intentions but only a handful declared their intention to participate. On meeting day nobody showed up except me. One person meeting with himself alone? I was not discouraged in fact that encouraged me. In appreciation to Seun, this thread made NL front page at the time. I had 1million reasons to forget about it like everybody else but I said to myself, if I don't do this who will? Somebody told me that "people do not like a static train but a moving one". There is an iota of truth in that but somebody has to start the train in the first place. A lot of things happened, some minor setbacks but today Software Developers Association Nigeria has been registered with CAC - (CACIT/NO 46155) We can not overemphasize the need to come together and move our ailing industry forward. There are lots of benefits but it's not what we can discuss here. We would like to have people of like minds but I must stress that membership is voluntary. For more info see https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-718632.0.html and a few other related posts here on NL. Remember we MUST have "genuine intentions" to join as the road is not an easy one but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Let me know if you need further clarifications. rgds |
Ok. I have already sent him a mail. I also put you in copy. I hope he obliges us and at least make this thread appear on the front page. When we take off hopefully next week, we would harmonize email addresses, contacts for effective communication and identification. rgds. |
Please check this thread and contribute towards solving most of the problems discussed so far. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-574165.64.html rgds |
Thanks BOLAJIAJANI. Does anyone know how to reach the guy(fayimora)? May be we can call him or somehow get in touch with him. Any phone numbers, email etc.? Should we go ahead as scheduled based on the suggestion by BOLAJIAJANI or should we wait and see if other guys can contribute? Most especially as there are suggestions to give this thread prominence on the Programming page and better still home page. May be we can extend the take-off date by say 2 days. rgds |
Still we are expecting more contributions on this from our esteemed colleagues. rgds |
@BOLAJIAJANI. Thanks. I agree with you. I think this sounds ok. Let's see if the other guys have a different opinion or approach and we'll look at the options. Say by Thursday if no other option then we'll go with this. We'll also look at project managers, features of the portal etc. rgds |
