It's was announced recently that Etisalat would move out of Nigeria in three weeks. This move meant that the brand name would be taken along as well. It was obvious that the local company would not shut down and like Airtel in the past would change its name. The question now is: Why the name 9Mobile Telecom? Did the new owners led by Access Bank agree on this because it is somewhat related to the word '9ja' or are the owners 9 in number? Is it a temporary name given to a dying company that would cease to exist soon? Personally, I see nothing innovative and commanding about the new name. |
OtemAtum: OtemAtum:A foremost quality of God is justice. Job 37:23 puts it this way "Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict." He blesses or punishes his creatures based on their acts. Still, his justice is balanced with mercy. Recall that before Adam and his wife sinned, they knew that death was the penalty for disobeying God. Still they willfully disobeyed. If God did not carry out his word, the angels in heaven, his Son, the devil and humans would view him as someone not reliable, undependable and a liar. Even with his just decision on mankind, he did not leave us the children of Adam without hope. He provided Jesus Christ whose life corresponded perfectly to the life Adam lost. That's why Jesus is called "the last Adam". So you see, with this wise intervention by God, he is able to reestablish a relationship with sinful humans while still not marring his reputation as a God of justice. In your illustration about the child, the difference is that Adam was perfect, while humans today and their children are not. In fact, they're bearing the consequences of the original sin. Adam and his wife got their punishment which was death, but the child doesn't. Finally, the fact that God has feelings like us shows that we were actually created in his image. That does not make him 'emotionally very very weak' as you claim. In fact, 1 Cor 1:25 states that "...the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men". As for the source you cited, it's not part of God's inspired word, the Bible and as such has no value in this discussion. Thanks. |
@OP and others. There are some things in your posts I feel I need to address. First of all, the Bible is silent on the nature of the forbidden fruit. It doesn't say if it's an Apple or otherwise. Secondly, it is silent as to the genus of the forbidden fruit or what it represents. What Gen. 2:16,17 says is that man was commanded to eat from every tree of the garden to satisfaction except the one in the middle of the garden of the knowledge of good and evil. The punishment for disobeying was death. Genesis 3:3 goes further to say that they should not even touch it. It is apparent therefore that this tree of the knowledge of good and bad symbolised God's right to determine for his creatures what is "good" and what is "evil'. As such, it is wrong for you to say that God put the tree there because he knew they would eat from it or that it was his intention for them. It was a very simple test that brings to mind Jesus's words at Luke 16:10 "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much." It was their act of disobedience that lead to the original sin. Adam and Eve were not robots, they had free will. If they had respected God's instructions, they would have received his approval. So the real issue was that they rebelled against God's right to decide for them. Finally, a better title for this post could be "God was very angry and hurt." You need not present Him as a weak person. He is the most powerful being in the universe. Thanks. |

I really don't get. Why all this hate towards Glo? I still think it's a good development. Besides, these are data plans for non BlackBerry users. ![]() |
topstar80: oga pls whats d codeStill the same as Glo GBAM bonus data. |
freecharles: Dude...shey dis info neva old niNo. It's a very recent update. |
This is an update for the new Glo data plans for mobile phones and modems. The daily plan which costs N100 now has a new data cap of 20MB. An upgrade from the old13MB. For N200, one gets 50MB valid for 3 days. 150MB now costs N500 for a week. The 1k plan offered 260MB formerly. Now, for the same price, the data bundle has been upgraded to 350MB. Dial *127*51# for 20MB *127*57# to get the 50MB *127*56# for 150MB. *127*53# for 350MB @N1000 ![]() |
A friend of mine got this message. Dear Customer, effective 3rd Dec 2013 AIRTEL BB Plans will cease to function on non BB devices or used as a modem . Thank you I see this decision by Airtel as one that will definitely backfire. I've already discarded my Airtel sim because the network was just too crappy. |
Dejavuetall: Driodvpn is not working with 3g only edge..... hope am nt the only one experiencing this?It works on 3G and HSDPA. You can force the 3G connection if you want.
|
It worked. :-) But, what's the data cap. |
ITbomb: Let's reason together.Honestly, I don't see the reason why data services can't be reasonably priced in this country. MTN, Glo, Eti and Airtel have no excuse. The talk of bandwidth surprises me. They make billions of naira every year yet they can't upgrade to the latest level in telecoms. We still struggle to get 2Mb/s Internet speed just because some Ogas at the top are bent on cheating Nigerians. Enough is enough, I support the protest. 1Gb worth of data at N1000 is manageable. Let's start from there. |
From what I've observed, the BIS plan doesn't work on the PC anymore. |
