No be this same subsidy that made our refineries go into comatose for decades. We had no private investments into refineries too. Dangote Refinery was birthed because the FG took the bold step to remove subsidy. Now we have Kenyan president coming here to see Dangote Refinery work and is working with Dangote group to build one in East Africa. Today, Nigeria rules the refinery business in Africa, when the construction of the proposed East Africa refinery hasn't even take off. Nigeria now give Europe a run for their money - na we dey fill the gap left open by the Iranian war. So, how else does Hassim want support our local refinery to dominate the global market?
