SeeWahala:
But you APC stooges always call Peter Obi names angry from onanuga all the way to akpabia sad
That is justifiable given the relentless insults, threats, misinformation and slander coming out of the Obidient camp.
Even ordinary people who are not politicians are not left out their vicious attacks.
Politics › Re: Port Harcourt Refinery Workers Threaten Shutdown Over 7 Months Unpaid Salaries by ElSudani: 1:02pm On Oct 07
shegztech:
I don't want to believe a human being typed this. There are people working tirelessly while others are sabotaging it. Corruption is too much. They must be paid in full cos they've been paid. They should sack people's parents depending on it to feed their families? Na wa o. No sympathy at all.
Who is sabotaging it and why is the sabotage allowed to continue. Consider these refineries as a couples of tiny holes out of thousands through which our resources are being wasted in Nigeria.
There are several non productive ventures like that, Ajaokuta steel co.is another one.
Politics › Re: Port Harcourt Refinery Workers Threaten Shutdown Over 7 Months Unpaid Salaries by ElSudani: 12:56pm On Oct 07
Dogalmighty17:
Refinery can't produce a litre of fuel and yet workers are being paid? That refinery hasn't worked in over 25 years and yet workers are being paid? For doing what exactly?

Government should sack all of them and ask the Nigerian Airforce to bomb the refinery to pieces. What nonsense is this?
That is the tragedy of state owned enterprises. It can go on forever without a drop of refined oil coming out from there.
Imagine if it was running on bank loans.
Politics › Re: I Should've Said ‘Amoda'– Atiku’s Camp Adamant On Addressing President As Tinubu by ElSudani: 12:45pm On Oct 07
Being disrespectful and abusive is not part of campaign. It brings nothing but debasement to the electoral system and the society.
Looks like the Atiku camp is borrowing the failed strategy of the Obidient crowd.
Politics › Re: Southeast Deserves To Rule Nigeria Even If It’s For One Term - Rufai by ElSudani: 8:26am On Oct 07
This is what you should have said all along instead of trying to prop up Obi with lies and propaganda.
Yep, Umahi or Soludo after Tinubu.
Politics › Re: Nigeria, Angola Among Best Managed Countries In Africa, Says World Bank by ElSudani: 5:58pm On Oct 06
The usual suspects will soon be here to tell us the bank has become the headquarters of agbado.
Everyone there is now walking around with bagful of agbado.

Zik may not necessarily be the brain behind the 1966, January coup but he certainly had foreknowledge of the coup and so too, did Ojukwu and the members of the Igbo national Caucus.
He absolutely knew about it and ran away. Imagine the commonwealth heads of government summit was scheduled to hold in Nigeria between January 12 and 15 yet our president didn't come back. He probably had a radio pressed to his ear in some hotel room waiting for the big news.

Richtaiwo:
E don reach Governor Muhammad Bala's turn. They will now open his chapter and read his dossiers to him. It is today we will hear how he has been looting Bauchi dry. Or how he is incompetent and doesn't care about the masses. I'm ready to see how he has stocked his house with corn and collected $20 Trillion from Tinubu.

Muhammad Bala doesn't know that as it is now, nobody dares say anything good about the government because a packaged fraud is being desperately marketed to Nigerians. grin
How his pockets are bursting with corn.
Politics › Re: "If Tinubu Saved Economy, APC Deceived Nigerians For 8 Years"- ADC To Shettima by ElSudani: 6:01pm On Oct 05
Very poor understanding of presidential powers. Buhari had his own policy direction Tinubu have his own.
Your argument is only valid if Osinbajo who ran with Buhari as vice president was president.
Heck, Osinbajo ran against Tinubu.

No need to tell thm. All what those lazy no ambition mofos want is father Christmas economy and entitlement economy so if they are not happy with the reform they are free to get out of Nigeria nobody is stopping them one thing I'm sure of is no country take total economy reform without bouncing out better and stronger. Take it or leave it..we don't care.
There's real hardship brought about by the subsidy removal but doing nothing would have killed the economy without doubt.
10 year or more from now people will look back and thank Tinubu for doing what previous leaders couldn't do.
They pacfied Nigerians with destructive subsidy and basically ruined the economy because of fear dissent.

Babalegba:
Lol, if one keeps repeating falsehood ,some idiots might start perceiving it as truth. Tinubu brought untold hardship to people. An intelligent president would have done things better.
The much vaunted western intelligence is all smoke. Even Bubu was a better president and a better human.
Given the economic circumstances in 2023 tell us exactly what you would have done differently.
Just facts, please.

Politics › Re: Can Someone Explain Why Petrol Cost In Nigeria At The Price In Europe? by ElSudani: 4:54pm On Oct 03
nairalanda1:
Because people are suffering.

Heck, even back in the day when we had subsidy and government did periodic increases of prices, people cried loud and hard about suffering.

Cost of living has always been an issue in nigeria. Some view subsidy on fuel, even with all the issues around it, as a means of mittigatiing the suffering.
Production Production Production this is what our politicians should be campaigning on.
Production in every aspect of the economy. This is what is going to save Nigerians not hand out.
Politics › Re: Can Someone Explain Why Petrol Cost In Nigeria At The Price In Europe? by ElSudani: 4:19pm On Oct 03
Dogalmighty17:
Majority of Nigerians including the OP are too lazy to take the time to even do basic research on why certain things are the way they are. When you patiently try to explain it to them, you get termed a supporter of the president.

Until Nigeria starts giving Dangote crude in the volumes he requests for, we cannot expect him to sell fuel at a price lesser than he does when he depends on mostly imported crude to keep his refinery running.
The NNPC is struggling to meet its crude supply obligations to international partners. Supplying crude in requisite volumes to Dangote remains a challenge for them.
God bless you. Why is this so difficult to understand?
Politics › Re: World Fights Costly Petrol. Tinubu Defends It- Farooq Kperogi by ElSudani: 3:34pm On Oct 03
Mariangeles:
As bad as Buhari was, why didn't the economy collapse his hands?
It did actually. By the time he left there was no money to pay for the subsidy anymore. By the time he left no bank was willing to lend us any more money. Our oil was already sold upfront!
Where exactly do you think Nigeria was heading to in such a situation?
Politics › Re: World Fights Costly Petrol. Tinubu Defends It- Farooq Kperogi by ElSudani: 3:15pm On Oct 03
Mariangeles:
I remember when Tinubu was campaigning, talking about agbado, cassava, garri, ewa and all the nonsense he said at that time, Nigerians found it so ridiculously funny, they even made jokes, because the reality back then was that Nigeria wasn't that bad, so "what is this man talking about?"
"Where is all those nonsense coming from?"

Not knowing that the plan of Tinubu then was that by the time he was done with taking Nigeria backwards, common Nigerians would be glad if they saw those basic foods to eat.

That is the reality common Nigerians are living now.

The worst part is everything happened within a short period of time.
What a disaster of a president.
The disaster is the fact that most of you were either living under an illusion or completely resigned to the mediocrity of life in Nigeria.
Some people would say "teach me how to fish rather than give me fish"
The tragedy is that folks prefer the fish and when you run out of fish why not leave your car keys or house deed with the fish seller so you can get more fish.
What Tinubu inherited was unsustainable and the economy would have completely collapsed if he had continued.

nairalanda1:
At the moment, Nigeria cannot afford subsidy.

You can call me tinubu supporter, and bla bla bla, but Nigeria cannot afford subsidy.

We are in massive debt, thanks to years of mismanagement, covid causing revenues to be so low that we litterally had to borrow or else, and subsidy right now is going to worsen our debt

Yes, tinubu is evil, corrupt, etc etc, and yes government should cut costs, and yes, everyone agrees with me APC and tinubu must go, but it still does not change my opinion or the facts on ground.

If una want us to face debt tomorrow that would be triple of what we have, retintroudce subsidy.

We have not paid the tax or done the economy saner climes have done to afford subsidy.
Let them continue to wallow in ignorance. It got to a point where government had to borrow to keep it going! What type of madness is that?

Basically what is supposed to be a short term or emergency relief had been the policy of the Nigerian government for something like forty years?
When are you going to berate Trump who is causing all these problems for everyone including his own country by launching unprovoked attacks on another country?

Perhaps you fear he might send you back to Nigeria?

The organized labor movement you are calling upon were wrong before by blocking the sale of the now dead refineries to those who could have better managed them.
Now, let them come back and raise hell about the rise in oil prices which is beyond the control of the government?

Is this an argument about whether or not there's racism in Europe and America? I am saying I have never seen an Asian behave in such a way in Europe and America. In fact, some of them complain about being discriminated against.

“Nigeria has been in economic doom since 1960 till 2023 when Tinubu came and saved it.”

APC data boy mentality.
No, actually in your warped estimate Nigeria was shoulder to shoulder with Germany and Japan until Tinubu came and ruined everything for you and made you hungry.
It is hard for folks like you to understand why a country so blessed with everything could still be poor.
Many of you cannot think beyond the next meal even though folks like you would rather emigrate to Afghanistan than having anything to do with producing that food.

“Slow down the economy”

“Reduce their purchasing power”

Mr. Man, you have no intention of bringing down costs of living, when the Catholic bishops came to you and told you the hard truth, you lied to yourself that you were doing well and Nigerians are better off. You’re making this U-Turn because of election season and it’s only going to work on the ignorant once that choose to still remain ignorant.
What economy did you have? South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and Nigeria were on the same level at some point.
While others invested in industry, education, agriculture, health etc. We wasted our own resources on dumb populist schemes.
Tinubu actually saved Nigeria from economic doom.

Even in West Africa here, Ghana's John Mahama is seen as the real force - not the 'has beens' with rogue leaders who care only about stealing and plundering.

Jeez!
Right, Tinubu is singlehandedly traveling to all these places to tarnish the Name of Nigeria.
Tinubu is in Ghana, South Africa, China, India, Kenya, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines doing petty crimes.
Continue to bury your head in the sand. Besides, this bad behavior started long before Tinubu was even a governor.

Believe it or not, Nigeria isn't destined for greatness! This country is too disjointed, ignorant and tribalist to work as one unit. This explains why we produce these kinds of inept leaders over 2 decades later.
Are the followers any better? We have another one saying he will bring subsidy back and some are actually happy about it.
Between OBJ to GEJ governments close to $81 billion dollars was wasted on subsidy and yet we wonder why we don't have good hospitals.
Think about how many world class hospitals you can build with that money.

There's nothing to weaponize. He is a confused flip-flopper.

Ask him to elaborate and that is when you start feeling sorry for him and ashamed at the same time.

Hemanwel:
Subsidy should return, abeg!

Don't be deceived by Tinubu's voodoo economics!

Tinubu and APC made their supporters on their Whatsapp group think that removal of subsidy is the best thing after sliced bread and butter.

The same way they made them believe that no government can achieve anything under four years.
All this just to gain power not minding the clear fact that you had subsidy for 40 years and it brought us no development at all while less endowed countries left us behind.
We have huge opportunities in agriculture, in mining and in manufacturing why the pathological obsession with subsidy?
And we are not talking about subsidizing industries here we are talking about fuel consumption.
