PoliticsRe: Lagos Rep, Okey-Joe Onuakalusi Sponsors 18 To China, Majority Igbos by ElSudani: 2:36pm On May 06
Kalulu44:
I am an Igbo man though born and brought up in Lagos. In as much as I agree what this Mr Okey did was wrong in all ramifications. But it can only happen in Lagos State. No other Yoruba state except Lagos will accept this and do you know why, it's bcus Igbos too have invested so much in Lagos.
Ask yourself this question, don't you think the Oshodi/Isolo people voted for him so that they can get more of Igbo people's patronage?
.
Lastly, like I said it can only happen in Lagos State but never in the other Yoruba speaking state. I onced stayed in Oshogbo, there's a spare part market that was banned from Igbo people to own a shop there.
That should tell you something
Basically, If the people of a certain constituency in Osun should decide to elect an Igbo candidate then it will be ok that he should benefit only Igbo in his constituency?

are you privy to the criteria for selecting the beneficiaries. Stop stoking up ethnic and tribal sentiments.
What could be the criteria that would result in sending only Igbo when his constituency was not only Igbo?
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Won’t Restore Fuel Subsidy – Oyedele by ElSudani: 2:21pm On May 06
koxyz:
My brother, with the removal of subsidies, the government still borrow money and in term of capital projects, we have nothing to show.

How do we explain these, we have funds being freed up as a result of subsidy removal and at the same time we are taking up loans.

Something is wrong somewhere.
Have nothing to show? Roads are being built all over the country and nothing to show?
Airports, railways are being built or rehabilitated and nothing to show?
You may not know but new power plants are currently being built and nothing to show?
Aggressive courting of foreign investment and nothing to show?
How did you think countries like China became developed?
By spoonfeeding their citizens?

Laws are made to be enforced. Do the right thing and your house will not be demolished. By the way, the demolition was not targeted at any tribe. It only appears that some people tend to flout the law more than others.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Won’t Restore Fuel Subsidy – Oyedele by ElSudani: 1:22pm On May 06
Lanruze:
I personally think Oyedele is overestimating himself and doesn't know that Nigeria operates on a brutal history of the class and ethnic struggle.

If you think you are bolder than Gen. Sani Abacha, IBB and even Buhari, then continue your " fuel subsidy removal" boldness rhetorics.

You remove PMS subsidy, devalue the currency and have also imposed a cost reflective tarriff on the poorest aggregation of people in the world and expect no push back ?

Anyway let's see if PBAT will be re-elected.
Why is Nigeria even a poor country? It is due to this feeding bottle mentality. You spend billions subsidizing a single product with almost nothing left for education, infrastructure, security, health care and you wonder why there's poverty!
You even subsidize neighboring countries! Where is the wisdom in this?
PoliticsRe: Lagos Rep, Okey-Joe Onuakalusi Sponsors 18 To China, Majority Igbos by ElSudani: 1:18pm On May 06
This unfortunately is the definition of fairness to some people.

the united opposition just need to promised Nigeria returned of subsidy and you go see how Tinubu will lose

removal of subsidy have no impact in average Nigerians lives, so of what use is the removal to us

useless and heartless leaders. thunda fire them all
Anything is possible but I can assure you that Nigeria will simply return to the period when all kinds of convoluted and senseless policies are introduced by the government just to maintain an illusion of well being.
Nigeria should be competing with countries like South Korea, Brazil and others not artificially fixing Naira rates and just going around in circles just paying salaries and no money for anything else.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Won’t Restore Fuel Subsidy – Oyedele by ElSudani: 1:03pm On May 06
Hamachi:
Fuel subsidy removal didn’t just increase petrol prices — it quietly rewrote survival in Nigeria. And the darkest part is that many people are still acting like the worst is over when, for many households, the real long-term damage is just beginning.

Parents:
Many parents are now choosing between feeding their children properly and paying school fees. Transportation costs have doubled, food prices keep rising, and salaries remain stagnant. Families that once managed two meals a day are now stretching one pot of soup for days. Some parents are pulling children out of private schools, while others are delaying hospital visits because basic healthcare has become a luxury.

Businesses:
Small businesses are bleeding slowly. Higher transportation costs mean more expensive raw materials. Electricity remains unreliable, so businesses rely on generators—and fuel is now painfully expensive. Many SMEs are reducing staff, increasing prices, or shutting down entirely. For startups and informal businesses, survival now feels like gambling.

Aged parents / retirees:
This may be one of the most vulnerable groups. Many elderly Nigerians depend on their children for survival, but those children are already overwhelmed. Pension payments are often delayed or insufficient, medication costs are rising, and frequent hospital visits are becoming harder to afford. Some older Nigerians are silently suffering because they don’t want to become “burdens.”

Students:
Transportation to school has become a daily struggle. Some students skip classes because they can’t afford transport fares. Feeding costs on campuses have skyrocketed, and many parents can no longer sustain tuition payments. The dream of education is becoming increasingly difficult for low-income families.

Bus drivers:
Transport operators are trapped. Fuel prices have gone up, vehicle maintenance costs have risen, spare parts are more expensive due to exchange rate issues, and passengers still complain about fare hikes. Many drivers are working longer hours for less profit while dealing with angry commuters.

Vendors / petty traders:
Street vendors and market traders are feeling the squeeze from both ends. They pay more to transport goods to market, but customers have less disposable income. Perishable goods get wasted because people are buying less. Many traders now make far lower profits despite working just as hard.

The bigger picture:
Subsidy removal was sold as a painful but necessary reform that would eventually free up funds for infrastructure and development. But for millions of Nigerians, there’s little visible relief. Instead, what many are experiencing is shrinking purchasing power, rising desperation, increased migration pressure, crime risks, mental stress, and a growing distrust in leadership.

The danger isn’t just economic hardship—it’s a generation gradually normalizing survival mode as a permanent way of life.
Everything you wrote are short term effects, like the pain you feel after a successful surgery. It's a deliberate choice, you can refuse the surgery and die or you can endure the short term pain and live.
PoliticsRe: BREAKING NEWS: Adeboye Urges Yoruba Support For Southeast Presidency In 2027 by ElSudani: 12:57pm On May 06
We will support the SE for two terms after Tinubu who by the way is doing a great job regardless of what the headless opposition are saying.
I suggest they give us Soludo after the Jagaban, Obi is a no no.

Yes, bring back the same old visionless people who made sure South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore etc all left us behind.
Bring them back, they might even bring back the subsidy to pacify you like a tranquilizer to make you feel like you are actually doing well while less endowed countries are leaving you behind.

OP are you serious right now?
Where is security to ply those roads?
where is the money to buy highly prices petrol?

Where market go seat with seller all day without financial purchase strength to patronize businesses

Why is the contract awarded in shadows no bidding nothing just award contract and who is benefitting more,
the awardee or the masses?
what if I tell you the contract sum could comfortably build twice or more of the value you pay if the right guy had awarded the same contract?

WE NEED SOMEONE WHO WOULD JUDICIOUSLY MANAGE OUR COMMOM WHEALTH not some rice driven economic propaganda and manipulative forceful acceptance lots.

We are OK with New Nigeria agenda
Sir, you are not making any sense at all. Let me give you the benefit of the doubt. Can you please tell us your candidate with verifiable track record of doing anything close to Tinubu.
Let us agree with all your other points, let us even agree Tinubu is responsible for the spike in oil prices but please let us know your candidate.

Let me tell you something you probably didn't know, the first indication that an economy is turning around is construction and right now it is happening all over the country like never before.

The birth place of jesus christ and the heritage of the God of Abraham will never be ceeded to Arab Nations....never
Well, Jesus Christ did not discriminate amongst people. And I know Jesus did not preach the extermination of children, sick people in the hospital, killing elderly people and destroying their homes and targeting aid workers with missiles.

Matthew 7: 21-23

Jesus declares he will reject those who call him "Lord" but practice lawlessness.

The British took over lands they never created people.

First business I ever did lol 😂😂 the story is crazy

From never eating pork to eating it once and liked it so much I decided to farm pigs lol 😂😂

Businesses like this are only profitable two ways

You become the end user. . You set up starts to sale rosted and fried porks.. You can employ people to sale for you in stands

Or very large scale farming.. Other than that don't waste your time
If you do it large scale what about the market? I currently have 25 and I am worried about the demand if they get too many. I have the option of improving it if there's good demand.

And why is your now dead Ayatollah said his only ambition on Earth is to wipe out entire Jews
Let us dial back to the time before Israel was created. Did anyone ever shout " death to America" the answer is no.
Go a little further and find out the population of Palestinians as compared with Jews in Palestine in 1948.
Compare the ratio today and see if you will not ask yourself what happened.
Well, we all know what happened. The apartheid system in Isreal actively supported by the US started a systematic displacement and killing of Palestinians.
Now, ask yourself if you were a Palestinian what would you say? Peace be unto the people who killed your entire family?

Say something else...
Iran destroyed YEMEN
Iran destroyed Lebanon
Iran made irag ungovernable
Iran destroyed Syria....should I go on
Entire Gulf countries knows Iran hidden agenda to carry out Revolution in all Arabs countries and install her proxies
If not for Israel that liberated Lebanon....iran would have taken over Lebanon through Hezbollah ...declaring her as Islamic Republic and installed Hassan Nassaralla as supreme leaders ....
Stop covering up evil Iran regime
Did Lebanon ask Israel for liberation? Explain how Iran destroyed these countries. Is it like how US destroyed Afghanistan, Iraq or Libya or is it like how Israel destroyed Gaza and now focusing on Lebanon?
Should the evil being perpetrated by Israel and the US go unchallenged? If so, why?

Who has ever used a nuclear weapon? Who has a nuclear weapon but wouldn't admit having it? Who is invading his neighbors kidnapping and killing foreign leaders?
Who is exterminating a whole population and destroying their cities?
We shouldn't fear those people we should only fear a country that has never invaded its neighbors.
How much brainwashing do you need to get to this level?
Foreign AffairsRe: US To Withdraw 5,000 Troops From Germany by ElSudani: 10:39am On May 03
Chienex24:
Exactly... They were also very "powerful" in the ist and second world war when USA was relatively unknown, and we see how those wars ended without the USA and with the USA.

Actually, if USA minds it's own business nobody will near them at all. It is just that they don't want a pear harbor style attack or 9/11 where you will be minding your business and war will just come at your doorstep. It is part of the reason for USA world policing to somewhat prevent wars before they occur, not that they enjoy it.
Does America mind it's business?
