SadiqBabaSani: Basically Nigeria want to start paying for image laundering It makes sense when the folks who sabotage the image of the country never sleep nor slumber. They always amplify the negatives and never mention the positives about Nigeria. For someone who has been to several countries I can confidently say Nigeria is not as bad as being portrayed. I feel sorry for people who buy into this naratives and then japa unknowingly into real hell fire in some other countries. Build what you have and make it better. |

princemaths: most of you are quick to talk trash from your empty brains.
less than 2% of us citizens are into farming yet they produce more food than the entire west Africa combined and the food is cheap.
If govt don't invest in agriculture the country is going no where. in Nigeria this is worse because farmers are dying daily.
Imagine a bunch of terrorists asking poor farmers to pay 50million ransom before they'll be allowed to farm. After paying ransom they'll add the cost on their produce and price will go up.
Govt cant provide anything for its citizens not even security for those poor farmers. Invest in what sense? Why don't you just tell us some of the government owned farms in the US? Some of you just talk for talking sake. I mentioned earlier if you care to read that the government should provide incentives and encourage farmers yet you are saying government should invest. Government should plant rice and corn for you and also raise animals for you? Perhaps government should cook the food and feed you as well. |
Food › Re: What I Bought With 9,500 Naira In Russia by ElSudani: 6:03pm On Dec 17, 2024 |
princemaths: most of you talk gibberish without economic sense. there are many farmers already In Nigeria the main occupation in Nigeria today is farming.
many rich Nigerians are into oil yet the price rose to 1200 immediately govt removed subsidy.. Not even dangote can bring the price down if he except govt starts paying subsidy.
Anyone into farming is doing so in a small scale for his own benefit or profit. Govt has to invest or subsidize it to become cheap. Even if everyone starts farming (which is not possible) won't they pay for land, seeds, labour, storage and all?
They can't even provide basic security for the poor farmers. You are talking nonsense. Majority of Nigerian farmers are subsistence farmers, maybe that was ok in 1900. That is not the type of farming I'm talking about. It is not the job of the government to invest in agriculture, let the government do what the government should do like providing the enabling environment. Some of you just open your mouths waa and spew ignorance thinking that you are making sense. |

princemaths: if the govt can't provide anything for it's citizens then why do we have govt in the first place. They have all the resources , power and money and can't do anything. What is the essence of paying tax, having passport, voting during election, doing all this for a govt that is only going to harm you. And do nothing good for you. It's high time we should share the country let everyone have access to his own mini country with no govt.
The govt meant to provide for the citizens are killing them off. While I agree the government should encourage more people to go into agriculture by giving incentives and all, it is also the responsibility of the citizens to take up the challenge. Nigerians generally don't like to invest in anything that can take a year or more to see profit, this is why even rich Nigerians are not into food production. Just like almost all rich Nigerians are into oil and gas, let them also invest in agriculture because it is very important for the country. It is totally unrealistic to expect the government to produce and ration food like in a communist country. |

imbless: You are nothing but a braindead Zombie that has been programmed to be a nuisance, you are probably still eating Mama thank you, or you are one of those irredeemable dregs of the society whose brain is half a pea size.
Going by this your stupid narrative, everyone should leave their profession and Jobs and become a farmer just because they want food to be cheaper, your turd of a brain didn't even consider that it's not everyone has access to farmland, you didn't even consider the issue of herdsmen, logistics, loans and other roles your inept Tpain has to play.
You are very daft, no need for me to continue with this conversation. Lazy thinking freeloader. You have no access to land or you are just a lazy freeloader who expects the government to provide cheap tomatoes, cheap onions and beans for you. Some of you shouldn't be allowed near the social media for absolute lack of critical thinking. Not everyone can be a farmer but what happens if no one wants to be a farmer? I bet you are one of those ninnies who deride agbado and mocked Tinubu when he talked about planting corn. Yet, oponu will still come online to talk about high cost of eggs! How would you even raise the chickens? Se na your eyes the chickens go dey eat? It socks to be oponu. |

imbless: It's only a demented braindead zombie and a terrible human being such like yourself will say that if the masses wants foods to be cheaper, they should all leave their profession and start farming, this is like saying if the masses wants healthcare to be accessible and cheaper, they should all become nurses and doctors.
Even if everyone starts farming, so your turd-filled brain thinks that a person can cultivate all the food and ingredients he or she needs ?
Back to my previous question, are you a braindead ronu? Will it be so terrible if you quit ranting online to plant a few crops? Perhaps you prefer to rant online or open your putrid mouth towards the sky for manna to drop from the heavens? If a place with negative 80 degrees weather can feed itself, don't you think you have to be a first class oponu not to understand why you are hungry despite your favorable weather? |

i dont know much about soil but people say ukraine has the best soil in the world.... Nigeria actually has more arable land than Ukraine. We import rice from Thailand which stands at about number 20 on the list of countries with arable lands. Nigeria stands at about number 7 close to Canada and Brazil. It is a big shame that Nigerians are hungry. Which goes back to my earlier statement. |

procreation is not that important.... you cant force anybody to procreate with you anyways....never ends well.... So, food is this important and Nigeria is blessed with some of the best arable lands in the entire world. Yet, the last thing some Nigerians would do is to farm even if they can afford mechanization. |

Macnnoli4: I might not like her brashness towards her Nigerian roots but I definitely like how she puts Nigerian politicians in their place in her own way. Who remembers when former British PM David Cameron said Nigeria was fantastically corrupt? But coming from the person you expect to side you because of shared Nationality will definitely pain some people. She said she doesn't have anything in common with the people from northern Nigeria! This is someone who is trying to be the prime minister of the UK! Did you ever hear Rishi Sunak talk that way about India? Also, what exactly does she have in common with the peoples of Northern Ireland for example or the Scottish man she married? She can pursue her ambition without putting Nigeria down, she's not running against Nigeria. She needs to stop. |
