Mariangeles: You just mentioned their number one dish; kare-kare.
All those are eaten with rice, right? Living in Asia for the past 12yrs has opened my eyes to lot of cultures, from Malaysia , Singapore , Thailand , and the Philippines, they all love rice and vegetables, and soup , what we all know here as Africans as soup which is cooked heavily , is different in Asia , soup in Asia is as beef broth or chicken or pork broths .. that's their version of soup , and it's taken to warm up the stomach for easy digestion since it's warm while eating rice , veggies or meat along with it .. Asia is really fun to be in . |

If you are, what other of their foods do you enjoy? P Yes I am based in the Philippines, beef kare kare is my favourite food , followed by , chicken curry , and chicken adobo or pork adobo , beef bistic Tagalog and pork , Philippines has a lot of good food, but be careful of sugar and vinegar and soy sauce , most of their foods are heavily laced with it . |

Both parties PDP and APC had done more damage to the society and Nigeria as a nation ,it's polical corrupt elites are wicked .No Respect for rule of law .The decision to bar sacked Osun State LG chairmen and councillors from returning to office raises important questions about governance, accountability, and due process. While it’s crucial to ensure that leadership is effective and aligned with the people’s interests, such actions must also respect the rule of law and democratic principles. Let's not forget that Ukraine is also a sovereign country , Ukraine's determination to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity is it's right . It’s a reminder that any peace deal must involve Ukraine as a key stakeholder, not just external powers. The conflict has already caused immense suffering, and lasting peace will require genuine dialogue, respect for international law, and a commitment to justice for all affected. The world must listen to Ukraine’s voice in this process also . |

Dangote's admission about the $23 billion refinery project being the biggest risk of his life is a testament to the immense challenges and bold vision required to transform industries. This project not only highlights his entrepreneurial courage but also has the potential to significantly reduce Africa's dependence on imported fuel, boosting economic growth and self-sufficiency. It’s a reminder that great rewards often come with great risks. A true game-changer for the continent. |

Health › Re: Bad Breath Wants to kill me! Help! by elvisdaniels(m): 1:56pm On Nov 12, 2020 |
BadBreathBoy: This guy called bad breath have haunted me all the way from primary school down to secondary and even to my university level.
I am still a young 19 years old guy at the peak of youthfulness but this guy is just ruining everything for me. My self-esteem, public speaking skills, social life, confidence, in fact, everything has been smashed with a sledgehammer right in my face. I have turned into an introvert because of this bad sickness but will cover it up with "Money on my mind" shït.
I have tried everything possible guys. Below are kinds of stuff that I have tried and it is not working.
1. Visiting a dentist. 6 months ago, I took all the money I had to go over to the dentist in search of a solution. Had to wait for hours before getting attended to. When the doctor came in, she first started with some words of encouragement.
Telling me I might not have bad breath and all, people might be thinking they have it but don't blah blah blah. (So me that have bad breath I don't know what I am saying right?) After much talk, she recommended flossing and cleaning. That exercise where water passing through a tiny hole at high speeds is used to remove plaque from in between your teeth. I had to shell out a whopping 4k for that plus the extra card of 500. All the money I saved was gone just like that. It didn't work!!! Bad breath still held me down.
2. Brushing twice a day. I did this for 1 week straight up without any improvement relative to the hard work put in. So I became less consistent with this. Toothpaste I have tried includes, Oral B, MyMy, Maclean, Close up, name it. Didn't work.
3. Garlic and ginger. Some persons here on Nairaland recommend that ginger and garlic can be used to drive off bad breath. The prescription was to swallow it whole before going to bed at night then brush in the morning to remove the after-effects. I tried this for one week. Didn't work.
4. Mouthwash: I have wasted more than 4k in buying mouthwash but these things are just 2 hours wonder from the moment of application. I get fresh breath for the time being but after like 3 to 4 hours, the bad breath keeps on coming back. Still didn't work.
5. Hydrogen peroxide: Someone also recommended I use this to chase bad breath. It also works for sometime after which bad breath comes back. I even tried to dilute less than normal for maximum effects but the only thing I got was an irritating burn on my tongue. I am so not using this guy again!
6. Walnut: Some said walnut could be my Savior so I had to buy them in large quantity to chew but it didn't have long-term effects. So I ditched it. I don't have money to waste as I am still a student.
7. Chewing a combination of bitter leaf, scent leaf, and guava leaves: Out of intuition, I decided to try this combination. My common sense inferred that since it was bitter, it should probably have some effects on the bacteria in my mouth. But alas! Bad breath wasn't even impressed one bit. I even had to stuff them in my pocket and chew on them while going to class. This was a big flop. Didn't work at all.
8. Agnes Nwamma Herbal powder: I don't know what to say about this one, because it was even better that I just didn't brush for that day. Very useless in fighting off bad breath.
The funny thing that leaves my jaw-dropping is that my dad doesn't even brush, he uses a chewing stick but still has a very fresh breath than I that used mouthwash, baking powder, toothpaste and still chew the chewing stick to top that.
9. Chewing gum like Clorets, Methos: I have to be frank about these gums, they kind of aggravates the bad breath. They are simply applying salt to injury so I just stopped using them altogether.
Pls Nairalanders, help me out here. There have been lots of people who found a solution to their problem on here, so I doubt mine will be different. Pls, I need something else to try that will not dig a hole in my pocket as I am still trying to stand on my feet. I need a permanent solution not 3 hours wonder.
Lala pls push to the front page so I can get a large set of solutions to fight this off.
I don't want to resume school like this. I am tired, I am weak, disheveled, exhausted, dejected, depressed, anguished, melancholic, in fact, I have tayad like this.
My confidence and esteem have been crushed by bad breath. Shyness, inability to have streamlined chat with people, playing deaf and dumb, using hand signals whilst communicating, smiling like a peacock when my opinion is required, staying away from girls, snubbing people, rejecting positions that have me talk to a crowd has taken over!!
Pls, abeg, mbok, biko, I need a solution. A permanent one at that. Hi what you are having Is called tonsil stones inside your mouth , watch YouTube and you will see how it is removed , once you do it wash your mouth and you will never have bad mouth odor again , every 2-3 days check the location of the stones have accumulated and remove them , you can use your hands to press it or get a tonsil stone remover . Take care |

Those Malaysian police were on illegal duties , they always go around conducting raids with their waja car, someone that is been investigated for fraudulent activities in Malaysia , police don’t come to arrest them and then ask for passport , they arrest you first , handcuff you , and you answer the rest at the station , those Nigerians were targeted and they came to extort them by using visa validation if their visa is still valid or not, some of them after showing them your valid visa they will insist on checking your phone or ask you where you live at so they will go with you to your house for searching ..crime division of Malaysia don’t come in 4 , they come with the least 15 mobile police men and rela .. to enforce a fraud arrest from cyberjaya division or shal alam . Else why would Africans enforce them to leave the apartment ,if not that they are on illegal duty extorting foreigners , not just Nigerians , they do it to Pakistani, Indians , Chinese, Vietnamese, Thais and Filipino , Bangladesh n Naples malay police are currupt than our Nigerian police ... |
