AS FOR THOSE THAT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT LECTURES
All science depts including Pharmacy and Basic Medical Science depts recieve lectures in CAMPUS3.
1st semester Course for science (a)Math101, (b)Math102, (c)PHY101, (d)PHY102, (e)CHEM101, (f)BOT101, (g)AEB101, (h)GST101, (i)GST102, Praticals Phy Bot and AEB
pharmacy minus (a)
BMS minus (b)
Engineering minus (f) & (g)
All education dept take their lectures in CAMPUS2 except (h) & (i).
so if U belong to the first category, the u should be looking for accomodation in around campus3 which are all offCamp.
the if U r in the 2nd u should be tinking of hostels in camp2.

ACCEPTANCE:
To pay acceptance effectively, it is better u use the school cafe to generate pin than to follow those boys u see at the skul gate, they are all hustler and will lick u to d last coin in ur pocket, and wen an error occur in d process of computing, they cant help u, because it is only the skul cafe that can correct any error.
Where is the skul cafe located?
it is located at campus2.
when u get to abk, take a bike to campus2 small gate not main gate o. wen u enter it, u will see a Y shaped road, The one by ur right lead to Library, main gate and others. follow the one by ur left, it is slopy, just follow it down, u will see the Medical center by ur left almost at the end of the road, while at the end there is a straigh Y road To ur left and right, with a transformer in front of u. dont follow d left or right, just follow d transformers bad road which is redish in colour down. at d end u will see a building painted white and blue with a small gate, that is the skul cafe.
There they will generate ur pin with N100 abi N50 sef.
after that, go back to the transfomer spot then u will see 3 walk ways. go to the last which is by ur left, follow it down it will link u to the main gate. but dont get to the main gate. wen u get to the walk at the main gate, just ask any one to show u the ECOBANK and also the library. There are two Ecobanks in campus2, U can pay ur ACCEPTANCE and Medical there. after payment, go back to the Skul cafe, there they will verify the pin. if anytin goes wrong they will tell u wat to do.
now go back to the Transformers spot.
incase u could not locate the health center on ur way in, ask any one u see at that spot to locate it for u, they will point it. u might even see crowd of freshers like u there.
but u can not do the medicals same day u pay at the bank, cos the bank will submitt the list in the evening. so u will come the next day or two to 3days later. pls make sure u dont waste much days b4 coming cos it will b hard to locate ur name then.
then go back to the Y Junction at Camp2 small gate. follow the left then u will see the LIBRARY.
there u can buy ur files N500 depending on ur department.
then u can follow the main gate out.
pls wen coming for medicals come early.

ppl staying in expensive hostels close to Campus3 dont do it becos they want to shoulder high. The closer u are to camp3 d better for u (i.e if u recieve most of Ur lectures at camp3).
take me for example, I reside far from camp3 and it really affects me and alot of Students in 100lvl e.g
100lvl in Delsu is not properly planned, especially those in the Basic Medical sciences, Pharmacy, Biology education, Biochemistry, AEB, Botany, Microbiology, etc (i.e all those that will take BOT101, AEB111, BOT111, AEB111).
These classes dont have specific time for lectures, they fix dem any how becos most of d lecturers dat take d course dont reside in abk, they are mostly from Anwai campus, so any time dey come dat is wen dey lecture.
so if U take these courses, U will have to wait till 6pm to b sure if the class will be cancelled, why ur mates living close had gone home since 12noon to rest and read. If d lecturer eventually comes, they will just stroll in. why we who live at distance residence Usually come in imidiately d lecturers leaves. some may not even allow u to enter if u r super late.
There was a time I waited till 5:30pm, my friends got angry and left, d useless man came a few minutes later and the class lasted till 8pm. Imagine dat? Those whom live close by were able to make it, why those who lived at distance couldnt. and that was the only time the man came for d whole semester, and he made sure he finished everytin dat day. see Gobe.
Then if u now calculate transportfare for d whole year, u will know it is not worth it. wat about being last to get infos?
More over the expensive ones close to Camp3 are more comfortable and secured.
I lived in a hostel dat cost 45k wen I was doing my PD programme last year, I lived there for 6months, and the hostel was robbed 6 complete times. That was why I even moved to the Skul hostel becos it is more secured, we have good and constant water supply, our Light is no1, U r closer to class rums for u to read ur head-burn, we are d first to get infos, etc but just poor hygeine which u will learn how to manage within a month.

I think BATMAN should be given all the credits.
Man of Steal, he cant even face the sight of kryptonite. just shut him with a bullet made kryptonite, den, cut of his head and remove his heart with a blade made of kryptonite. bury him in a soil full of kryptonite. THE END
Hulk, is just one over power fool. he doesnt use his head.
Thor, not so powerful wen his daddy changes his mind.
Spiderman. pffft
Green latern: all u have to do is wait till his uses ring gets weak, more like ben10. den break his chiken legs
In short they are all Freaks except Batman.
all the powers. Can dey kill Tom&Jerry (Joker).

EducationRe: Fg Deploys Policemen To All Federal Universities by Elvishard(op): 10:08am On Nov 30, 2013
As the war between light and darkness
continues
Heroes and villains become harder to identify
Kindred spirits separated at birth
Fighting for their place in time to be solidified
The clock ticks faster and faster
While time runs a marathon in this babylon
But see, the end is only the beginning
The beginning of the calm before the storm
EducationFg Deploys Policemen To All Federal Universities by Elvishard(op): 9:49am On Nov 30, 2013
The Federal Government has directed the
Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Mohammed
Abubakar, to deploy policemen to all federal
universities in the country in its bid to
ensure resumption of academic activities in
universities on or before December 4.
Saturday PUNCH learnt this development was
disclosed at an emergency meeting the
Federal Government held with all vice-
chancellors of federal universities at the
National Universities Commission building in
Abuja on Friday. The Acting Minister of
Education, Chief Nyesom Wike, and the
Executive Secretary of the NUC, Prof Julius
Okojie, were also at the meeting.
Though Friday’s meeting was held behind
closed door, a source at the meeting who
craved anonymity because he was not
authorised to speak with the press, told
Saturday PUNCH that the Federal
Government directed the IG to draft
policemen to federal universities to prevent
members of the Academic Staff Union of
Universities from disturbing some of their
members that might want to resume work in
line with government’s directive.
The meeting, Saturday PUNCH further learnt,
also discussed other modalities for calling
off the bluff of ASUU whose members have
been on strike for over five months.
The Friday meeting began at 9am and lasted
for two hours. Part of the meeting’s
deliberations, Saturday PUNCH gathered, also
centred on how to recruit new lecturers to fill
the space of ASUU members who might refuse
to obey government’s directive. Also, the
vice-chancellors were directed to call students
back to campus on Sunday in preparation for
academic activities which should start on
Monday.
Wike, had on Thursday ordered lecturers to
resume duties on or before December 4 or
face being sacked summarily by the Federal
Government.
Saturday PUNCH learnt that already Okojie
had been mandated to start the process of
recruiting new lecturers by placing vacancy
adverts in international journals and media.
Also, the vice-chancellors were directed to
open registers in their institutions where
ASUU members that resume work would sign
so that those who failed to resume could be
sacked.
Saturday PUNCH further learnt that the
Federal Government was planning to adopt the
Ghanaian method where lecturers were asked
to re-apply for their jobs after two years of
strike.
“Not all lecturers are members of ASUU. Most
professors don’t belong to the union, people
think every lecturer in public university is a
member of ASUU, which is not true.
Government means business this time around
and it is going to call off the bluff of ASUU,’’
the source explained.
Nigerian universities are currently in need of
at least 30,000 lecturers because of acute
shortage of lecturers in the university
system..
There are also indications that the Federal
Government and university lecturers may be
heading for a clash as the December 4
deadline given by the Federal Government for
the lecturers to return to work is also the
date set aside by ASUU to bury a former
President of the union, Prof. Festus Iyayi.
Iyayi died in a ghastly auto accident along the
Abuja-Lokoja Road when the vehicle in which
he was travelling had a collision with the
convoy of Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State
on November 12, 2013.
The former ASUU chairman was on his way to
Kano to attend a crucial meeting of the union
which was called to deliberate on the Federal
Government’s offer to the lecturers.
The Federal Government had claimed it
decided to go tough on ASUU because the
union made fresh demands in its letter to the
government as a condition for calling off the
lingering strike action.
ASUU had demanded payment of the four-
month salary arrears of its members from July
when the strike commenced and the release
of N200bn that President Goodluck Jonathan
promised to inject into the university system
within the next two weeks.
The union also said the agreement reached
between it and the Federal Government
should be signed by the Minister of Justice
and the Attorney General of the Federation.
Though the President of ASUU, Dr. Nasir
Faggae, refused to pick his calls and also did
not respond to a text message sent to him on
the latest development, the Enugu State
Police Command confirmed that its men had
been directed to man universities to quell
any protest that might result from the Federal
Government’s order on lecturers to resume
work on or before Wednesday.
The command told Saturday PUNCH that
police officers had also been directed to be
stationed at the universities to forestall any
disturbance from various groups or lecturers
on Monday.
“There is no cause for alarm and we are
combat ready in the event of any violence or
disturbance,” the Police Public Relations
Officer in the state, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, said.
Also, the Police Public Relations Officer, Akwa
Ibom State Command, Mr. Etim Dickson,
confirmed that the police had been mandated
to provide security for lecturers that want to
resume work against molestation by their
other colleagues, who may not want them to
do so.
“We are not going to their houses to force
them to come and teach in the universities.
Even though the Federal Government has
taken a stance, we are not in the military rule
to molest lecturers,” he said.
But reacting to the latest development, the
Chairman, ASUU, UNIBEN chapter, Emina-
Monye, said ASUU members were not
bothered about government’s latest
strategy.
He said, “They can go ahead with that. We are
not perturbed. Let them call the police; let
them advertise vacant positions and see how
many international scholars will want to
accept what Nigerian university lecturers are
taking- let them go ahead.”
Also, ASUU branch at the University of Uyo,
Akwa Ibom State, said government’s directive
was an attempt to waste students’ time.
The UNIUYO ASUU Chairman, Dr. Nwachukwu
Anyim, said in Uyo on Friday that Nigeria was
no longer in a military era and so lecturers
could not be coerced by anybody to work
against their wish. He said, We will see how
they will come to our homes and force us to
resume work.
“Only the Federal Government can tell the
world what it has in mind. We have a
shortfall of 60,000 lecturers in the university
system. If they are advertising this one, it
means they must have an idea of where they
are going to put them, and they must be
people who are going to work without
equipment.”
However, the University of Nigeria chapter of
ASUU on Friday said its members would not
resume work until their demands are met.
The UNN-ASUU also described the Minister of
Education, Wike, as a “tout”.
The union, however, told Saturday PUNCH
that it won’t react officially to Wike’s order
until President Goodluck Jonathan speaks.
“We have not heard from the President, so we
cannot speak officially on the matter. It
would be senseless to begin to react to a
statement from Wike since he is a tout,” said
Dr. Ifeanyi Abada, Chairman of UNN-ASUU.
Abada said that Wike’s order cannot hold and
vowed that ASUU would unleash terror if the
minister attempts to carry out the order.
“We stopped the late General Sani Abacha, so
stopping Wike and these bloody civilians
won’t be any problem to us,” Abada vowed.
Also, the Nigeria Labour Congress on Friday
described the action of Wike as hasty.
The Acting General Secretary of the NLC, Mr.
Chris Uyot, said in a telephone interview with
one of our correspondents that Wike ought to
have considered the circumstances that
delayed the leadership of ASUU from getting
their resolutions to the government.
Uyot said that ASUU was not able to get the
resolutions of the NEC meeting to the Federal
Government because of the death of Iyayi.
Reacting to the latest development, Mr Femi
Falana [SAN], said President Goodluck
Jonathan should call Wike to order in the
interest of the education system..
.He said If Wike had familiarised himself with
FG/ASUU face-off in the past two decades,
even under the defunct military junta, he
would have discovered that ASUU members
had never been cowed to submission.
He said, “In 1992, the Ibrahim Babangida
junta fired all lecturers and threatened to
eject them from their official quarters. When
the lecturers defied the junta a decree was
promulgated which made strike by teachers a
treasonable felony. ASUU also ignored the
obnoxious decree and called off the bluff of
the military dictators. But at the end of the
day it became clear to the regime that
universities could not be run like military
barracks. Hence the junta swallowed its pride,
withdrew its empty threats and decided to
honour the Agreement which it had rejected.’’

BusinessCbn To Revert Polymer Notes Back To Paper Notes by Elvishard(op): 10:37am On Nov 27, 2013
The Central Bank of Nigeria has said it will
start printing the naira in paper notes in
2014.
It signed a deal in 2006 with Australia’s
Securency International to print lower more-
circulated units of the naira in polymer,
while higher denominations were kept in
paper form.
But six years after and following allegations
that the manufacturer had bribed foreign
officials to secure contracts, including in
Nigeria, the CBN said it was being forced to
reverse the policy.
A report by AFP on Tuesday quoted the
spokesman for the CBN, Mr. Ugochukwu
Okoroafor, as saying, “Polymer has been on a
test run since 2007. This explains why we did
not go the whole hog by printing all the notes
in polymer.
“We only used polymer for N5, N10, N20
and N50, while N100, N200, N500 and
N1,000 are in paper form. We soon
discovered that the [polymer] notes easily
fade out because of our peculiar hot climate
in Nigeria… making them look tattered when
in use over time.”
Earlier experiments indicated that the
polymer-based notes, which are in use in 23
countries around the world, including
Australia, could last longer than traditional
cotton-paper notes.
But the CBN said there had been a public
outcry about the poorer quality of some of
the new currency in circulation.
Securency International was reported to have
supplied 1.9 billion of its guardian brand
polymer-based notes to Nigeria between 2006
and 2008.
In the wake of the bribery claims, the
Reserve Bank of Australia sold its 50 per cent
stake in the firm.
Innovia Security, which bought out Securency
International earlier this year, said it did not
comment on clients or their business but
added that a number of countries with hot
and humid climates used their product.
“We have had no issues of premature ink
wear or colour fading in these markets,” a
spokesperson said in an e-mailed statement.
The report said Nigeria, with a predominantly
cash-based economy, was looking to increase
people’s use of electronic payment methods
such as credit cards, online trading and
introducing cash-point machines in a bid to
try to reduce the amount individuals could
carry around.
However, there are concerns that switching
back to paper notes is a sign of a lack of a
coherent policy.
“My concern is that Nigeria is fond of policy
somersaults,” said a former banker, Mr.
Moruf Akamo.
He also said, “What becomes of the initial
investment in the polymer technology,
considering that the notes have been in
circulation for only six years after their
adoption in 2007?”
Akamo said the CBN should have done more
research to ascertain the feasibility of
polymer notes before starting the project.
“Why is Nigeria going back and forth? It’s
time our policy makers got their acts
together and do what is right for this
country,” he said.
A treasury manager at a commercial bank in
Lagos, Mr. Yemi Adegbola, advised the central
bank against spending money to print paper
notes, which could degrade quickly with daily
handling and the tropical climate.
“The trend worldwide is to embrace polymer.
I wonder why Nigeria’s case is different?” he
added, claiming that polymer was less
susceptible to forgery.
“It’s not easy to fake polymer notes like
paper notes,” he said.
