Yes o,what's important is that I got in without hassles. Now the next phase begins...
oxygyne:

The main thing is you got in without issues. Usually, these questions are subjective and totally at the discretion of the IO.

In my case I wasn't asked a single question at all, I had to deliberately tell the IO to stamp the spouse visa vignette because he was looking at my visit visa instead.
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Embellish: 10:04pm On Jul 02, 2018
Lol...I travelled at exactly 2 weeks and 4 days after I got the visa cos I had give them notice/resign properly at work. Moreso, I had to see family and a few friends. It seemed as tho that immigration guy had issues with me cos I felt some of his questions were uncalled for. In all,I jumped and passed. I picked up my BRP today. Hope madam is doing good.
MreSBee:
Wow.... It took you ages to enter lol.... I got my visa two weeks or so after yours and I already have spent almost a week in the UK before you arrived. Well, its all good.....at least you are here now.... I was lucky not to have met a very inquisitive immigration officer like yours (maybe its because I landed in Birmingham though)....the only funny question he asked was the name of my spouse lol....then he asked 2/3 more and that's it.... didn't meet any other officer or person till I got out to the arrival lobby of the airport.

I hope you haven't forgotten that you only have one month on your vignette visa... Go get your BRP ASAP.

Good luck to others waiting for their good news

Hi everyone,
I got to the UK yesterday and the immigration officer asked quite a number of questions. He asked me when and where I got married, how I met my husband,if I had resigned from work in Nigeria and if I planned to work in the UK,if I already had a job offer here, where my husband works and what he does there, then he asked me where his office was located. Well,I knew where he worked but didn't know the location and I told him so. He didn't seem too pleased that I didn't have that info. He then told me to try and get to Southampton by Monday to pick up my BRP. Na so I run leave am o,before he'd look for something out of the blues to ask.

MreSBee:
Hello good people,

I’m pleased to inform you guys that I have finally gotten my spouse visa. After an initial refusal of an almost 6 months application in December 2016, I waited the whole of 2017 together with my wife to work on getting it right for the next application and thank God, the long wait paid off now.

Timeline:
Application submitted: March 2nd
Biometrics: March 8th
Documents submitted: March 15th
Ready to pick up email: June 18th

Wife called UKVI at around 60 working days and they said a decision has been made.

No “decision made” email

Total of of 69 working days (excluding bank holidays)

Thank God and thanks to everyone that contributed one way or the other on this forum. I’m happy to tell you guys that I’m officially a graduate of this school now

Lexusgs430:

Congratulations Madam, I remember when you joined this University of Spousal Visa in February.

You have been a very attentive student, paying attention to all details, bought all the necessary handouts (although I caught you stretching your neck a few times), it's all forgiven now.....

I wish you well in your new sojourn (I hear life in the UK is another journey altogether)........

NB : Remember to pay your 56% tithe......

Thanks Oxygyne. I got a mail arnd 5pm yesterday that my passport was ready for pick up. I've received it and it was a successful
oxygyne:

No hard and fast rule really, I received the email to pick up a day before or the same day we got our documents back. But for some, they received the email to pick up and didn't receive supporting documents until days after and for others the reverse of this process.

For now, just keep calm and be hopeful that you got the visa. All the best.

Lol...no they are not. I submitted my application on the 1st of March and did my biometrics on the 5th. I applied from TLS VI.
MreSBee:
Hi Embellish..... I think we both applied around the same time (this is me quoting one of your replies a few weeks ago.... I think you mentioned that you applied a week after readynow which was when I applied to...2nd of March to be precise) please what date exactly did you submit your application and did your biometrics? I’m asking all these because if going by the fact that we applied around the same time, I’m wondering why we haven’t gotten a pick up email yet and also why my wife hasn’t received my own documents just as your hubby has. And also which of the TLS office did you applied from (Ikeja, VI or Abuja)?

Hope you don’t think my questions are too much lol.....

Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Embellish: 4:40pm On Jun 12, 2018
Hi all,
My hubby has just received our supporting doc. Pls when do you think I'd likely get a mail to pick up my passport? This is taking forever and the apprehension is building up as the days go by...
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Embellish: 10:33am On Jun 10, 2018
Awww,so sorry to learn this. Like Nomad said,Id have thought the proper thing to do was to contact hubby to get the outstanding doc across. Nevertheless,it is well
nomad26:
This is really sad and I think unfair on the part of the home office - they could have contacted your husband to submit the missing payslips. Here's what I advise: as soon as you complete the new application and receive your visa, your husband should contact his MP to write to the home office to see if the cost of the first application can be refunded. It's a worth a shot to recover your money back.

It's not just you o...I've been looking out for her update since yesterday..
MreSBee:
Amen. Good luck to you too..... we shall all smile at last.

Is it just me... I’m just wondering why we haven’t heard from Shemafia though. I was expecting her to actually share her good news today.

Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Embellish: 7:50pm On Jun 06, 2018
It's really frustrating. Let's just hang in there, it's almost over. Hopefully between 2mm and Fri,we would get positive results.
shemafia:

Hi.
I submitted a standard application in February, did biometrics 1st march, my documents were sent 6th March. It is 65 working days today, still no mail or update on the tls site. Hubby called last week, he was told a decision has been made, and was also asked how I will get my passport. So on monday, I went to the TLS center (Abuja), but the guy who checked told me my passport was not ready for collection. So hubby called again, and they said a decision has been made, but we should wait till Friday, and that if we dont get my passport by Friday, hubby should call so they can track what the ish is. So I will check back on friday, mail or no mail. I honestly wish i had paid for priority.
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Embellish: 7:00pm On Jun 06, 2018
Wow...urs has really taken awhile. Hubby called ukvi yesterday and he was told that a decision has been made, that we should expect to hear from them before the week runs out or early next week
readynow:

Hello Mresbee still waiting to hear from them too going 4months now will keep you posted
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Embellish: 9:02am On Jun 04, 2018
Hi,I applied at about a week after him too and I've not heard anything. It's really worrisome. It's bad enough we've had to wait for 60 working days including the numerous public holidays. Now this!!!
MreSBee:
Hi Readynow,

Regarding this post about you not being updated yet by UKvI on the status of your application on the 22nd May. Any update now? I’m asking cos I applied about a week after you and I’m still waiting too... not heard anything, I haven’t even gotten that type of email you got from someone saying your application is in the final stage and that a decision will soon be made.

Anyone else in our shoes... anyone apppied around end of Feb/beginning of March, please indicate. Thanks

Congrats dear
Maryam30:
I got my settlement visa yesterday Glory to God and I am pregnant. U will need a TB certificate,It will be ticked in the certificate that u r pregnant, cos it was ticked in mine. It won’t affect ur application tho if it’s straightforward. I was given a 5 years straight visa yesterday,it’s so surreal I wanted to pass out. So apply for ur visa and make it genuine. If u can apply for priority if u r far gone. I applied with priority cos I was already 5 months gone. Traveling next week with my bump lol. Goodluck!

Good morning all, I've just done my biometrics but they didn't ask for my passport photo. I even had to ask the person conducting the biometrics if my passport photo wasn't required. He said no,that they've already captured me on camera. Abeg is this correct?
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Embellish: 9:32pm On Mar 04, 2018
Wow,congrats dear. Pls o,do they usually conduct interviews when you go for biometrics?
Lolas89:
I actually mailed them to ask if I can change it but they said no that I should withdraw the application and I said OK to the withdrawal and they said they will return my passport within 15working days. So I was just waiting for them to return it so I can reapply.

Then I got the usual passport ready for collection yesterday evening. When I got to tsl and they gave me my passport I just noticed a paper in it so I already gave up that it's the refusal letter so I didn't bother checking the passport, just opened the folded sheet to see that my application was successful and my passport stamped. Come and see the way I shout for inside danfo.
The lord is good, he is kind and faithful.

Good evening all, been following the thread for a while now. Nice job ure doing here Lexusgs430, Justwise,Joygirl etc. Thanks to u all, and to as many that have been so selfless, patient and consistent in answering our numerous questions.
A quick question pls...does it matter who submits the online application?I am the applicant, resident here while hubby's the sponsor in the UK. Someone told me that I'm meant to fill the online application but hubby prefers to do it himself. What's your take pls...
