Properties › Re: What You Must Consider Before Buying A House by Emeka71(m): 9:48am On May 21, 2016 |
famepyramids: Buying a trouble free house is one of the most stressful things in life. If you don’t get it right, it will be a pain in the heart and selling it might be more difficult. Think about not just what you want today but what you might want in the future.
This article is about what you must put into consideration before buying a house. 1. Financial capacity: the more financially buoyant you are the more and better choices you have. This determines your choice of location, the type of building, whether you go for a onetime payment, mortgage or spread it.
2. Type of Building: family size, class in the society and interest determines the type of building you will go for. Do you go for a bungalow or storey building? Do you like sharing compound and go for attached, semi detached or terraced building. Do you go for a flat in a block of flats, a duplex or a fully detached building? You need to answer these questions to decide on type of building.
3. Estate or Community setting: Do you like estate setting the omo-onile type where you provide all your amenities like transformer, drainage, road, water, security. Or the standard gated estate where most if not all the amenities are provided by the estate management. Do you prefer house in community setting where government or individuals provide the basic amenities? Are you considering government owned estates like LSDPC.
4. Serviced or Unserviced Estate: In serviced estate facilities like drainage, water, electricity, security, road, waste management, generators and more are provided by the estate management. The owners of the building are made to pay specified amount mostly annually. You need to be careful with this because the charges become exorbitant with time in some estates and leads to clashes between home owners and estate managers. Unserviced estate you provide theses amenities yourself or by joint effort with other building owners.
5. Security: We always advice this should be one of your topmost consideration. We have seen situations where home owners move out of their own house to rent apartment due to security treat.
6. Professional Inspection: Even if you feel you trust the seller and your own inspection skill, hire a professional who check the structural integrity of the building, cracks, settlements signs, dampness, state of the plumbing work, electrical wiring work, roof and ceiling inspection, state of window, door, signs of fire in the past, finished level to prevent flooding of house and compound, surface and sub-surface drainage system, staircase inspection, has the house been renovated in the past, does it need renovation presently and availability of escape route to mention a few.
7. Vicinity study: Your building must perfectly fit into the environment, it cannot exist in isolation. Proximity to other buildings in case of fire can it easily spread from other buildings to yours. The type of neighbours, are they the once you can live with, is there any form of pollution e.g. noise from religious houses, fuel station water pollution from underground tank spillage or even risk of fire, any factory around with noise from plants, generator and fumes from its activities. How is the area in the rainy season, are trees close to the building, traffic situation. Look around the area in the night time, rush hour, weekends and morning. Good school around for the children, hospital, bank and possibly police station in the vicinity. Is it the best property for you in the vicinity?
8. Water quality: most house buyers always miss this out, but it is very important to check quality of water. This will save you a lot of money on expensive water treatment and you maintain a healthier condition.
9. Maintenance of the building: Some people buy homes they cannot maintain. The building might be too big, too large compound or finishes might be too expensive to maintain e.g. a house with wooden floor finish.
10. Adequacy of space and Ventilation: Check the size of all departments of the house e.g. bedrooms, kitchen, store, toilet, bath and living room make sure they are ok for you and well ventilated. Inadequate ventilation causes a lot of discomfort and high cost of powering air conditioner and even fan. External spaces for car park and possibly mini get together can also be considered.
11. Documentation: Check the building document and do a due diligence. Does the land have a C of O or Consent, is the building approved, are you buying from the right source.
12. Do not inspect once: Do not rush, don’t be a prompt buyer, do all necessary checks. It is advisable to buy during the peak of the rainy season. There is no perfect building but the precaution you take help in achieving a high level of satisfaction in your house purchase. If you are planning to buy feel free to contact us for an in depth analysis of the property, you will be glad you did.

LordReed: First confirm that the bluetooth drivers are installed and working properly by following these steps:
Click on Start Right click on Computer Choose Manage Click on Device Manager Click on the plus sign beside Network Adapters See is bluetooth is in the list If it is on the list does it have a red or yellow icon attached to it? If it is not on the list. scroll down it would be on the list (but not under Network Adapters) with a yellow or red icon. If you don't see it at all then either your laptop doesn't have bluetooth or it is damaged or not properly plugged in. You either need a hardware tech or buy a usb bluetooth dongle.
If you see it on the list with a yellow or red icon it means the driver is not installed or has a faulty. You will have to install the proper drivers either over the internet or by downloading and installing offline. Thanks for the information; but bluetooth is not there and can I possibly install bluetooth on the system? |

Movingcoil: there is this hp elitebook 8440p that am trying windows 10 on, the system freezes momentarily and goes on and in some cases like if am listening to music or playing movies, the songs hangs like mad likewise the movies in fact it makes the system drags like hell. i used task manager to watch the system over 1 week and discovered that the toshiba 640gb is always active ie always in 100%, the time the system unfreezes is when the hard disk percentage reduces but it immediately hangs at 100% again Maybe you've used more than 50% of your hard disk space; I shall advice you free up your hard disk space and make sure your used space is not up to 50% of the hard disk space; you can buy external hard disk for your storage. |
Computers › Re: How To Charge Your Smartphone On Your Laptop When Its On Sleep Mode by Emeka71(m): 2:06am On May 13, 2016 |
ikechukwuapeh: Many people know that it is impossible to charge our smartphone from our laptop when our laptop is on sleep mode.
This is a major problem has caused me in particular numerous challenges that made me research about this topic. For the benefit of some people, let me explain the meaning of a pc being on sleep mode.
Sleep mode is a mode that a pc enters when not operated for a while depending on the length of time set by default or by the user. While in this mode, the pc becomes idle but not off, and no function works on it until you tap on any key on your keyboard. In this mode, we notice that any phone connected to the pc automatically stops charging because the usb ports become disabled in this mode. Imagine you being in a public transport, and travelling to a far place and your phone’s battery is flat. Meanwhile, your laptop battery life is fully charged or has some charge but you cannot possibly on it and keep it active in order to charge your phone with it because of certain reasons……
The afore mentioned scenario creates a mental picture which clearly states the importance of this article to everyone. At the end of this tutorial, you should be able to comfortably charge your smartphone with your pc when it is on sleep mode. The steps are easy and can be done by anyone, no matter the level of knowledge you have about a pc. The logic behind this is just to enable some features that keep USB ports on in sleep mode, thereby allowing us charge our phones all the time, even when our pc enters the sleeping mode.
To do so, you’re advised to follow the steps below carefully:
Step 1: locate your device manager: the settings that we want to change is found on the device manager. There are several ways of locating the device manager which include: i. From anywhere on your pc, press the combination of Windows key + X, and then select Device Manager from the list. ii. Press Windows key + R together, and entering the word devmgmt.msc in the box that appears and click enter. iii. For those that have Cortana on their pc, you can also use it to locate Device manager. iv. Also, when you right click on This PC icon on your desktop and select properties, you will see the device manager on the top left corner of the screen that appears.
Step 2: once the device manager opens, click on Universal Serial Bus Controller as seen on the picture below. After that, all USB devices opens, then right click on the USB Root Hub option and select Properties option
Step 3: Once the Properties of the USB Root Hub are opened you will see a tab named Power Management. Open this tab and from here you will see an option saying “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power ”. You have to uncheck (untick) this option and then click on the OK button as can be seen on the image below.
Bravo! After that, you can now This means that you can even if you close the lid of your laptop, provided it is on. It is worthy of note that this can work on your phone if you set the USB option of your phone to ‘’charging only’’.
Over to you. Hope you enjoyed the article? Feel free to tell us how helpful it was using the comment box below. Keep visiting us for refreshing and highly informative tech tips and tricks that are well explained. Best regards!
