Literature › Re: Resources For Young Writers by Emeka71(m): 1:49am On Apr 22, 2016

UjSizzle:
Hi! This thread is for people who want to take their writing seriously and grow.

I stumble on a number of things on the web-- advice for young writers from masters in the Art.

Whether it's a download link or a snippet of an article, I'll try to keep this updated as I go.

For today here's Teju Cole's epistle (in 8 letters) for young writers in PDF format. It's about 40 pages long and shouldn't take you longer than an hour (slow readers) to go through. It's also free.
I hope you learn a thing or two from it.

Happy reading Ask Jide.

Webmasters › Re: What Do You Think About Nigeria Having An Association Controlling Blogging by Emeka71(m): 1:02am On Apr 22, 2016

DJBIGGY:
See it can't work.... I cannot count how many bloggers out there who have perfected hiding their identity and be making serious cash... The so called association will never have accurate number of bloggers operating in Nigeria. Patronage is left for potential audience cos if someone realizes he is a copycat of lib or nairaland or olamzy.com ... Omo Na to blacklist that site from your life.

Only thing one can do is to take legal action if anybody is caught defaming or libeling someone

So your blog is now rated alongside Seun's forum and Linda Ikeji's blog

As you all can notice i'm a pretty heavy gamer but thats only during the weekend. But i have seen people saying that gaming on pc will destroy it. Why is it called a gaming pc if not for games!!
Note: the only game i do play on it is PES2011 which isnt that heavily graphiced. Nd i dont want a console now wastage of money nd space for now.

Playing games on your laptop can't damage the said laptop.

For Manual remove ur leg from the accelerator, change to gear 1 and gradually pump your clutch. For Auto, remove ur leg from the accelerator, change to D1 as it slows down a bit pull ur hand brake and change to park.

That can apply on Ore-Benin highway where there is no go-slow with scanty vehicles (note the hills and valleys.

Since the lifesaving Simple Server got blocked by MTN, browsing alone sef has become a heck of a problem, not to talk of downloading heavy files.

Now I really have need to do some downloads but I don't think I can afford these expensive plans which are mainly suitable for just browsing. I contacted MTN to know if their 3GB for N300 weekend plan is still available, but they said they have stopped it.

I tried to subscribe for this MTN daily unlimited access of N150 but they said my SIM is not eligible. I have tried the SIM of everyone in my house, yet not eligible.

Frustration wan quench me here now. Abeg, which data plan is currently suitable for heavy downloads? Airtel? Etisalat? Glo? MTN? Whether cheat or legal..... somebody help abeg!

Take your laptop to cyber-cafe with Wi-fi ;buy 1hour ticket and download as you like.
