If this story is true, I maintain, the woman should leave him!! She´s too good for Lanre, he keeps cheating on her. If the story is not true, that is one awesome writer! It seems pretty real! Either way, something like this could happen in real life and no one should stay with a spouse who keeps cheating after promising to stop!

Legs, even if you still love this guy after all he did, I think its time to say goodbye. Ok, the fact that he was cheating saved his life. But isn´t that a terrible irony to have to bear? He should be feeling guilty! And its no reason for him to continue with his ways. he promised he would end things with Moni, and he lied. he didn´t end it and I doubt he will. It´s hard to leave one´s marriage, but is such a marriage still worth living? He´s hurting, and no man in the world is worth that kind of suffering. You have a life to live, go on with it, no matter how hard it is at first. By going on like this, you are drowning, losing yourself bit by bit.
If he won´t change, it´s up to you to end this suffering. Move on with your life, overcome. Let Moni have him if she wants. You are too good for him, believe in that!

Dear girl, that´s a difficult situation. And I don´t believe it´s necessarily lust. One can truly fall in love with anybody. That´s the problem-you can´t choose who to love. I´ve lived through something similar, by falling for a guy who was engaged... I didn´t know he was at first, and well, it happens. Anyway, one advice I can give you is to try to move on. You´ve got your whole life to live, and though it hurts, it does get better. I hope the situation seems clearer for you with time.
There´s no point in trying to hold on to something which has no future and could only hurt you, no matter how much you love him. We often tell ourselves, I would never fall for a guy who´s taken , but it can happen. Learn to come to terms with it... I know it´s hard... but there´s always light at the end of the tunnel.

Interesting question... and complex answer... it´s hard to really be sure. I´ve seen guys and girls who are really good friends only, I´ve got a couple of good guy friends myself. But then there are still others whose friendships develop into something else over time. I think guys can actually be better friends to girls at times... you can really be yourself around a good guy friend.
I guess guys and girls can be friends... but with caution.
