It's not about the pay. Most of the people I have tried out, I allow them to decide their pay. They're just incompetent and deceptive. They promise to deliver a great job, share samples they did not write. When you give them a simple task, they disappoint. See attached, it's a chat from one of them after wasting my time. This one happened today.

The pay is flexible. Since my clients are local, they don't pay much. I can afford to pay up to 70% of what I charged my client, which most people who employ writers won't dare.

My niche? I have none. I may need help with a Statement of Purpose today, tomorrow, a business proposal, and next tomorrow a job application letter. I'm not looking for an article writer, but someone who understands grammar and comfortable writing on anything.

My targets are Nigerians. If you've worked with Nigerian clients, you should know we don't pay much. Does it make sense to get a foreigner to do a locally sourced job?

I have done that severally via Nigerian Hot Jobs. Out of 100 applicant's you may not even get one competent writer.

Just to be clear, I only created this thread to seek help. I don't know any other way to convey my thoughts without sharing my past experience here. It's way worse than I described. You will be amazed at the kind of writing I get from supposed professional writers. Sometimes I ask, "Is it hunger that is making them apply for jobs they cannot do?"

Personally, I do not apply for jobs I cannot deliver on. Same principles I apply in my businesses (www.vapatrick.com and www.patrickokunima.com). If a client needs help with a task I cannot deliver with at least 90% perfection, I decline. It's better for me than to tarnish my image. It is for this same reason I have never disappointed my clients. Today, more than 80% of my business come from referrals.

I turn down orders. I cannot grow my businesses to the extent I want, because of incompetent employees, writers particularly. I had to temporarily shut-down the academic writing aspect of VA Patrick (www.vapatrick.com) for the same reason. I have only one competent academic writer. His background is Bus Admin. So, he takes care of my old clients with mgt and biz background.


Please, if you know anywhere I can get good writers, let me know. I need help!
