Please I am kind of worried.
My daughter did upfront medical November 28 2022,and I was told her medical results was sent to IRCC that same date.
January 09 2023 I got her medical request, I even had to send a proof of her upfront medical we did to IRCC that same date through webform for them to update it, up till now it hasn’t been updated, it’s more than a week now still no updates.
I am worried bcus the medical request letter says 30days is given, and now they still haven’t done anything.
Has anyone experienced this before?

Book the available date you can get but dont pay for it immediately, then Keep checking the sites everyday for the nearest available dates and reschedule. Then you can pay once you are satisfied with the date.

Another way to get an earlier date is if you have the time, go to the medical center as early as 6am, to get a slot. They will attend to you.
I found out about this when I went to have mine done.

Ps carry something to eat when you go there, those guys will take your whole day.

Pls I have been having difficulty booking online for IOM Lagos, IOM Abuja are not picking up calls either. when I tried booking on their website I was sent an email to verify my email but it kept saying error, please will I be attended to if I go there without booking online?
The next available date is December which is too far.

I had this same problem. Apparently, I made a mistake in chosing the city/village I was planning to live in canada. Check this and ensure that it's the exact province and city your partner currently lives. Number of family/applicant should be 2.

I submitted a spousal sponsorship 'paper' application for my husband late August 2022, I got an AOR mail with a UCI and APPLICATION NUMBER from CIC 3 days ago and was told to create an online account to be linked to the paper application.
However, all efforts to link the application has proven abortive, it keeps saying NO APPLICATION FOUND.
Please what do you think is the issue?

Good Day Sir/ Ma, with reference to your question.
1. You need to wait for around one week + (1w+) before you can link your application.

However, the latest information is (As of September 23, 2022, you must apply online for this program( Canada spousal sponsorship). If you can’t apply online and require accommodations, including for a disability, you can ask for the application in another format (paper, braille, or large print).

Just wait and check later.

I resubmitted my spousal sponsorship March 16, 2022, I got AOR October 21, I have been able to track my application on tracker but the problem is that I haven’t been able to link my application to gckey, it keeps saying Application Not Found. It’s more than a week now

Okay it's resubmission then, you have to be patient your AOR will not be 3months like other fresh applications because it's on the queue of resubmitted applications.
During mine I resubmitted as well, when others where receiving AOR in 2months I received mine after 4months AOR, biometrics and SA all at the same time and I still meet up with others that received AOR before me. Just be patient and hopeful you are still on track.

I have been worried because it’s been 4 months since I resubmitted my application and I haven’t gotten anything from them. I have been checking my mails to see if they sent anything concerning my application or if any documents is not completed.
Even when I called they said my documents is not returned and it’s still undergoing the first stage.
I was then wondering why it is taking this long.

There is nothing you can do than to wait for your AOR since there is no means to contact them without your UCI number. Did you apply online or paper?

After over 5 months of submitting my application, I got a refusal letter this morning with the following listed has reasons for the refusal.

• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
(I submitted my business registration certificate with tax documents and also mentioned I have aged parents who are dependent on me)

• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the
details you have provided in your application.
( I really don't understand this part, is there another visa I should have applied for instead of visiting visa?, i was also invited to my ex husbands wedding by his wife, I felt I needed a visiting visa for that and since I was staying for about 2 months in order to help my daughter adjust to her new environment)

• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

(I submitted my personal account which had about 2M in it, in the Invitation letter it was stated that my ex husband and his wife were sponsoring my flight, feeding and accommodation)

Here is a quick rundown of my situation: I applied for a visiting visa in order to accompany my child (she is a minor) to canada, she just got her PR approved. I felt it was very important that i accompany her on this trip because she is travelling a very long distance, interacting with a very different culture and reconnecting with her father in person after 7 years apart and that my support will be integral to this major change and transition in her life.
All these reasons were stated in my application but I still got refused. I am really confused on what next to do, should I apply again? Will family reunification work in my case?

My partner and i have tried this+1-800-267-6788 through the Viber app but we're unable to connect to a rep because they're all busy. Typically, there should be a queue to wait on, but the call just ends on its own.

I also make this call at 12noon, which is 8am their time, so getting this feedback is weird.

Spousal sponsorship is when your husband or your wife who is a citizen or has a permanent resident of Canada is sponsoring his wife or her husband to come join them in Canada.
Then after you apply you wait to get your Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) that you are fit to be sponsored.

Sometimes it exceeds 60 days depending on IRCC work load it's not static I saw a reply they gave someone last week after he sent a web form and the reply was that they are sorry for delay in making a decision now that they have volume of work load and so the stipulated time on the website may not be meet.

Very true, anytime I send a web form that is the reply I get that they are experiencing a high volume of request, so their response may be delayed.

Ah if you are not vaccinated you won't be allowed board a plane or cross the POE.

Pre entry test is no longer required for fully vaccinated travellers and you have to fill an arriveCAN form showing vaccination status etc prior to departure.

You can call the airline you plan to use and check Canada.ca for more info.

Congrats on the birth of your baby.

You would need to contact IRCC notifying them of the birth of your baby, try to send them lots of messages until you hear from them, meanwhile what you can do now is to get a new international passport and a birth certificate for your newborn while you wait for further directive from the Canadian authorities.

I am not too sure about starting a new application, but I know the IRCC should be aware of your situation so they can process to ur little ones visa much faster.

I think the “normal application” he meant is appli through the old portal. We’ve seen people who applied through the old IRCC portal decided to apply via the new portal and got their response faster

Well my fear with this new IRCC portal is how sure are you that when you cancel your old application on the old portal your application on the new portal will be approved?
I watched a video on YouTube to know the difference between the new and old IRCC portal they said the new IRCC portal has more Denied applications than the old portal, tho it’s faster than the old portal.
So I am just being scared and hopeful.

My husband called IRCC about the delay of my VV application and how it has exceeded the normal processing time, they checked my details on their system and checked the country processing my application.
They told him it’s Nairobi that I should contact them directly true web form or email.

No I didn’t include it in my VV application but I informed them on the web form and through email.

They are giving more priority to Ukrainians and those who applied for study permit, they have been quite inconsistent in their processing times, VV approvals from Africa has been quite slow in recent times. What you can do now is order for GCMS note and/or contact MP. Don't give up. Lastly, u can try applying via the new portal who knows.

Even though there's a temporal public policy in place for converting VV to work permit, I don't think it's advisable to discuss it here as this page could be monitored and consequently there could be an increased number of VV denials for genuine visitors if they noticed people are not really sincere in just visiting....who knows. I checked the processing time from Nigeria, sometimes it shows 88days, sometimes 92 days, but now it is showing 102 days. My application process is 5 months now, I have sent web forms but no response, I don’t know what else to do.
