you were of great help when we were trying to set up Fewide Plantain flour, you directed me to Nova in ibadan and today all equipment installed and production started while NAFDAC issue ongoing as we are waiting for their visitation.
But we need to encourage others to think processing and not only planting.

I must say thank Lesgupnigeria, your write up was very good in giving birth to the company called Fewide foods which now produce high quality plantain flour for Nigerians.

Sir on plantain i can say you need to reconsider that most time your suckers are not of same size and might not bear fruit at the same time so you can really do that projection of sells as you have stated like if you plant 800 suckers and after 10months the first batch comes out like 20 plantain fruit at same time and may be after another 2weeks another set of 10 comes out with fruit, with these you cant really make much because even the market women will come and give you a very ridiculous price.
the best bet is to get to sell to a processing plant or process it yourself into any end product

Agro processing is very good but it very expensive to start i am about starting a gari/plantain flour processing plant in Abeokuta area but the cost of it is very high you can imagin spending more than 3M and not yet finished the plant?
i truly which the Government agency can really look into this so as to encourage many us who have started thinking in the line of processing.
