Chaze85: Hello guyz just a small question..does that receive approval this week (who applied in ikeja) have u gotten the passport already?mine is still in transit for 4days now...just worried cos my flight is next week.plz answer anyoneHehehe..4 days and you're complaining? Mine took 8days approximately before it changed and then received the pickup text.. just go try your luck if it's there sha... if it's not, then they'll ask you to wait for the text.. |
13 days remaining...chai! the days are becoming longer and longer ![]() |
francistayo: This waiting period is not easy oo,even if u know u av all necessary documents to get u d visa, one's mind still wonders trying to see if truly all needed doc is dere.its well my testimony is next week by God's GraceIt's the hardest part.. |
spikesC: In the uk now, currently at Ipswich Ride on bro... we're still here doing the 'countdown' thing ooh.. Good Luck |
myfuture: The birth year on my WAEC certificate does not tally with the one on my passport but the thing is I have been given admission by a well respected university. When I applied for admission,I submitted the WAEC certificate with the error.I am wondering whether that might still cause problem for me during registration when I arrive in the UK.Go with your birth cert or better still, get an attestation of birth from NPC..coupled with a court affidavit stating the error made by WAEC if you like..which is what I did for my own case...just checking all the boxes.. |
Rachii: Diamond bank surely will offer you good service, reliability and all but please bear in mind that the diamond bank in the UK is INDEPENDENT of the one in Nigeria even though it's the same owners. The implication of this is that you CANNOT work into Diamond bank Uk and try to ACCESS your diamond bank Nigeria. ITS NOT POSSIBLE!Aii....Thanks for the heads up.. Is there any requirement I must fulfill before I can walk into either diamond or first bank in London and request that my funds be transferred to my UK account instead of withdrawing and depositing in cash? |
spikesC: That question is relative to an individual, the branch he visits and the service rep he meets. Firstbank also has a branch in the ukSure..but I'm talking of some general stuffs here...take for example, I'm pretty sure it ain't just me that gets frustrated at any FirstBank branch on a Monday (Network Issue), series of little unclear charges on my account and also if diamond exchange rates values are lesser for the most part of certain periods.. |
Emmagency: Hello all, please I'm planning on opening a diamond bank account as I'm getting tired of those yeye first bank guys...considering the fact that diamond also has a branch in London does anyone have an idea how they compare to FB in terms of quality of service, flexibility and reliability..?Hello...anyone with an idea on this? |
royal34: Can i be refused visa because i have not made payment towards my accomodation? is it compulsory to make payment towards accomodation?Chances are you'll be refused should you be asked and you don't provide a suitable answer of how you plan to get an accommodation before or after you travel..It's not compulsory you secure one first before your visa application..but from your question, I take it that you've already secured one...so there's no need to make payment before your application.. I didn't, and still haven't and I got mine.. |
HudsonBanks: Here is the official guideline on documents to be submitted with your application https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/332185/pbs-tier-4.pdfJust the hand-filled self assessment form (Appendix 8..) |

TeamclicksAir: whats the departure and return date.9th September and 1st July respectively |
I finally settled for a 2-way ticket...through KLM..Lagos to London (1hr45mins transit in Amsterdam), return flight 1hr10 mins transit... Got it for N192k |
3sha4lyf: If you get arik one way, you'll never board that flight until you show a return ticket out of uk.Yeepa! and what happens if it happens that someone gets asked for it and you cannot provide it? |
spikesC: Waste time gini#lol sharp guy... you just had to be 101% sure your visa was there and documents are okay.. Thank God I didn't apply at VI ooh...as a new agency, one would expect them to be faster but turns out total reverse is the case |
sukber: Oga Emmagency, abeg start to dey find flight nw oo. Arik air (direct flight) if u book 2nyt and departure is arud mid-september, it is way way cheaper, no hassle.Hehehe.. thanks bros.. I see you've finally picked yours up.. I'll have to go transfer the required funds into my GT acct tomorrow (which is my only internet-facing account).. Actually had Arik in mind as at last week ooh.. but heard and have read a lot of negative reports on their service and in-flight resources...as a first time traveller, I need that unforgettable experience to be a good one.. |
spikesC: I wish to travel this week and the cheapest airline i got is Emirates.Oga spike, you aren't wasting time at all ooh.. have you picked up your package yet? picking mine up tomorrow.. (only thing holding me back till September is accommodation tho..) |
I'm heading to London (Heathrow) this September... Have done a little search on flight tho...but appears most of them involves either a transit in Dubai or Spain.. (still checking) Can anyone travelling this period provide the best bet airline they've discovered so far? (to save a brother a lot of time as I don't feel comfortable doing this at work *prying eyes* and I always return late) And secondly, can someone give me few reasons I should get a 2 way ticket (which of course, return ticket date can be changed when the time is near) as I still don't fully get it..and please don't add 'because it's cheaper' to the list..(I mean, how much difference in terms of naira can be there?) Thanks |
spikesC: So, after 27 working days (exclusive of 2 public holidays), my visa is out.Congratulations! |
Miada: Thanx! My test is on Monday but cannot spare 2 days to collect the results as I am currently doing an internship and my boss will kill me. So my question is can I collect the results the next week or so?The result is available from the following day after the test...until whenever you decide to pick it up.. |
Miada: Hello, I am waiting to do my TB test can I still fill my form and book an appointment date for the interview or do I have to collect the results before applying? Please helpYou can actually book your interview for the day you're collecting your result but it's always advisable to get your result in hand first before you even make your application in the event of any unexpected medical jargon... |
kindebo: just tell your friend to go and collect it at vfs, then check the passport if it was approved or refused. Got the same message and have gotten my visa.Exactly what I told him tho... just decided to throw it here...to be sure this isn't what denial sounds like... |
sassybee: @Emmagency, where did your friend submit his or her application? Same centre as you?Yea... Ikeja |
Bambamzzzz: But you posted it here sometimes ago that you received an email that your visa was approved so if you truly received approval email then you have nothing to worry about kindly go and pick up your visaLook carefully sir... I said 'my friend' |
Hello all...my friend received this mail today with no prior mail or anything.. A decision on your Visa application Ref. No.: IKAB/040814/178259/1 has been made by the British Deputy High Commission. Your application has been received at the UKBA Visa Application Centre and is ready for collection. Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email. Regards, Visa Application Centre. Is this denial or approval as it isn't stated even in the text message... |
GVA: Constance!!!!. Fear God ohhh!!!!Read his post again... The first word is 'Important,' the sequel lines were the important things you need to know if asked about the error.. worry359: GVA: |
ruksy: Message of Hope or .... I dunno what to make of this. Thanks though for providing an answer to my question. My worry is increasing. I intend going back to the VAC tomorrow even though I just got a message that my package has been discharged for review by the ECO.Since your application has been dispatched for processing, then you'll have to wait to be contacted...because it's going to be extremely difficult to enter the building without an appointment with printed copies of the appointment. Not to talk of an interview that isn't scheduled.. |
HudsonBanks: Good afternoon to everyone on here!*Head Swells* E la gi mo!! |
ruksy: Hello spikesC, you have been very helpful and I appreciate the effort. I made photocopies of the documents but they were all taken from me eventually.I know of someone who didn't had his own interview done also because of time constraint. He was told that if they needed any other information, he'll be contacted. Can't say if he was called back to sit for it or not as I didn't collect his contact line. In my own case, although I had an interview session, i received a call from the British High Commission some days later asking if i had an interview session which I confirmed but unfortunately, the call got disrupted after that and they never called back.. I have since been issued my visa.. |
GeneralShepherd: Please I want to pay my school fees with the cheapest conversion rate, Gtb charges 280 on my debit card.First bank is at 274 |
spikesC: Nothing yet o, what else can i do other than to wait. The lord is your muscle bro... |
spikesC: Don't mind those tracking stuffs. Just go pick up ur visa on mondayThanks.. But someone did tell me that I have to receive a text from the Ikeja office first before I can go.. Which sounds reasonable to me...can you confirm this? |
