sashacoleman: So guys I have a really serious issue and I don't know what to do. I applied on the 3rd and after waiting for over a month for my visa to come out, sheffield finally responded to my numerous mails, informing me that they have no record of me applying for visa. This is after I have submitted my application, paid, done my biometrics and my interview and for submitted my supporting documents and waiting for over a month. I am at loss at what to do because I feel like yelling at someone. I need some advice please. I submitted at vi (unfortunately)
This is really really sad.... angry angry First thing first, meet those 'yeye' people at VI..they must provide answers ooh..

sukber: evening house! Want to ask: if visa was issued 2day, can some1 travel to d UK 2-3 weeks after d visa has been issued?
My program start 12th of september, and m thinking of travellin 1st of september.
Is there any consequence? Pls make una advise me oo, abeg!!
If your course is for less than six months, then you can only travel one week before resumption.. for a longer course, you can travel one month before resumption... but make sure you get your calculations right as the course start date stated in your CAS will be used..

Hello house!!

Just received a mail that my application has been approved and my visa issued about an hour ago... I'm just so happy because to be honest, I kinda had some doubts about the application thing which was the final hurdle in the journey to studying in the UK... Still can't believe it..

Thanks to everyone who gave their opinions when I had my questions...

akmoses: Hello all,

please ur guidance is highly needed.

2. is it important to state in the form, the additional information section, all i have been doing (like working) so as to show the time frame of when i graduated till now? And do i need to submit my employment documents, pay slip, tax returns and study leave alongside other documents to prove to the ECO of my return back to work after the masters program? cos i was adviced to add these documents because they want to see proof of wat u've been doing and ensure one returns back to home country

3. can i print my statement on exact 28day or shld i put in a day extra say money deposited on 10th July, start counting from 11th July, the 28days period ends 7th August, and i intend to apply and do d registration online on 8th August, and print statement 11th August. So i was hoping to inform the bank officials i need the statement from 10th July - 8th August (is this wise?), so just incase the ECO wants to count from 8th backwards, i get a total of 30days

4. i did my tb test in june even before i got my cas and somhow i put in a family member address in the uk. does this matters because som1 said i was suppose to put the address of the school.

I await ur responses.
(Modify) (Quote) (Report)
1. Add every legal document you have in your possession to prove your credibility and genuineness..

2. Yes, you can print your statement and also apply on the 28th day.. (Like I did mine) You can also print the statement on the day you're going to apply (even though the 28 days ultimatum completed some days back). The rule is that the bank statement must not be more than one month old. Meaning if your 28 days period is from 1st-28th of july, you can print it and apply with it anytime during 29th-28th August.

3. It's no problem. As long as it's a valid address...Will you be staying with them during your stay?

GeneralShepherd: 2 million was deposited plus se change about 10k or so. The school is in milton keynes, Bedfordshire.

He could have said in a million more polite ways, the guy that started this thread has done it for ages and is still very polite.

Thanks for your response, you guys are amazing
Okay...you'll need to credit that account with at least 100k so pound-to-naira fluctuations doesn't cause your balance to fall under the requited amount during the 28days otherwise, you'll have to start recounting
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by Emmagency(m): 9:28pm On Aug 04, 2014
GeneralShepherd: Please I.just deposited 2mil for.my living expenses today and also.paid for school fees. What's the.next thing? Should I apply for visa?
wait for 28 days.....and then print a bank statement. What's the actual figure in your account? Because you'll need to show a minimum of 7,380 pounds(depends on where your school is located..) which as at today is equivalent to N2,001,400 (Oanda rate)

Hehehe...Still can't stop laughing to the response you got from sashacoleman...trust me, when you become an old user on this thread and someone asks this question, you'll find it very difficult not to respond the way he did....#lol

Hello all.. I applied at Ikeja on 23rd July (someone that had her interview after me on that day has had her visa approved on 1st July). I received a call from the BHC today while I was in the bank and during the process of confirming my identity and if I sat for an interview, the call got disrupted due to poor reception in the banking hall. And I cannot call them back. Haven't received any mail yet..

Does anyone have an idea why such calls are made?

5. At the gate of the crescent, just tell them you're going to 'IOM'

Hello all... my dad will be travelling to the US for a seminar/workshop sponsored by his company and he'll be having his interview next week...can anyone tell me the likely questions asked during visa interviews for this purpose...?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by Emmagency(m): 7:59am On Jul 26, 2014
milychocs: At the end of the interview...(all those questions listed here, and yet my answers were halting, smh)
Right now, I have better answers than the ones I gave at the interview in my head
At the end, the guy asked if I heard and understood everything I was asked, I said yes
huh

Anyway, fingers crossed, toes too...you guys pray for me
And thanks so much for your help, and for this thread
Hehehehe.. kinda same here... I had enough answers in my head before the interview but during the interview, I found myself shortening most of them than I had planned...it's just as if at that point, the long stories doesn't matter, just make a point... I'm also keeping my fingers crossed because if the interviewer wasn't satisfied with any of my answers, he would have asked further questions about a particular question or simply ask me to explain further...

Submitted my application yesterday at Ikeja...and boy those people can be so annoying...interview was booked at 12pm and would you believe I had it at about 3:40pm? After the biometrics, I had to sit for over 2 and half hours before I was called for the interview..meanwhile, they were just busy putting people that used the 'Premium Longue' service through while we sat and hoped to be called on...

Anyway, it was a nice experience... and now the waiting BEGINS!

gmolen: Please @justwise, SpikesC, DonOms and co, I want to know if I can apply online and pay for my visa application before my fund clocks 28 days. The essence is to get an appointment date as close to the day my fund clocks 28 days as possible. If I should wait till I print my bank statement on the 18th of August before paying for my application, I reasoned it may take another long time before getting an appointment due to the possible queue. Or is it possible for me to fix an appointment at the visa centre without paying for my visa application. I really need clarification here please. Thanks all in anticipation of your comments.
you cannot... the very best you can do is apply on the day 28th day..and also, I applied on the 21 and got an appointment for 23rd..

kevwe91: Good afternoon. Thanks for your help. The thing is that my parents can afford the expenses of both university fees for my brother and I but most of their money's have not been paid by their clients, as they are both legal practitioners.  My dad came up with a plan therefore, in which he has decided to pay 5000 pounds as part of my tuition fees and 1000 pounds for my living cost for 2 months. On the other hand, he would be paying 3500 pounds as part of my brother's tuition fees and 1000 pounds as well for his living cost. Furthermore, the 21200 pounds that I told you about would remain untouched in my parents account for 28 days.  In addition to that, my dad has also prepared a sworn oat through a notary public that he would ensure that my brother and I would not be in any form of financial constraints during our course of study. Because for now, we cannot show the entire moneys in our account as my parents have a lot of money's outside that would be more than enough to cover the entire living cost and tuition fees. Please advice me once again if this is a positive step in securing a tier 4 visa for my brother and I.  Thanks for your assistance and God bless

I forgot to mention, the part payments for the tuition fees and living costs for my brother and I are not part of the 21200 pounds that I mentioned. We ate not using that money for any payments till after the visa process.  Hopefully more money's would have arrived by then. Thanks for your assistance
Truth is if the required money for you and your brother is not present in your parent's account or your accounts, the UKBA won't grant visas.. it is compulsory that every applicants must show this during application..

Chaze85: I have another question i deposited money to my account July 4 and I'm going to print the statement on august 4 but I'm going to apply for my visa around 2nd week of august because of my tb test schedule can i still use that statement on the 2nd week of august?

Yes...you can still use the bank statement...the rule is that it must not be more than 31days old..also, I'd advise to get your TB cert in hand before you make the application online..

Utonne: Hey people. Please i need ur help. I need to make a choice on offers from UWE, Bradford & Coventry. Im going in for HRM. All CIPD accredited. But I'm more concerned about the rankings of the school.
My heart was set on Aston but unfortunately i wasnt given an offer. So im stuck with these and cant seem to make a choice. Will be glad if anyone can chip in opinions. Thanks
I think you should be more concerned about the course modules and most importantly, student reviews

If you had seen me when I was about making my decision for which uni to choose, you'd probably be wondering ''the heck is wrong with this guy?'' multiple tabs on my browsers are on student reviews about the university from multiple websites and I would read almost everything! and anything concerning the school..Google & YouTube searches, terms such as 'Pros & Cons of Middlesex university,' 'Advantages & Disadvantages of Middlesex University,' and so on.. they are way below on the rankings if that's the subject..but they have a large number of 'satisfied' students...that was all I needed coupled with the course content which was better than that of Birmingham City University's from my own perspective..

Good Luck

Yea..I received it in early may... I'm going for a BSc program so the least required fee to pay before you can receive your unconditional offer and then your CAS is £3000.. not sure of the fee for MSc.. but the amount should be stated in your conditional offer...

Lexusgs430: Would rate MDX 7/10, I got what I intended to get from the university. You will adapt to the accent, don't worry about that. If you run into any difficulties academically, speak out ASAP.
Middlesex is in London. It's about 30 minutes drive to Oxford Street(traffic permitting).
Have seen all weather extremes, snow, heat etc etc Just buy clothes to suit the weather, as it changes(ever heard people been insulted with the British weather), thats how it changes.
Spend loads of time in the library and read well well. £5k tuition no be joke.
Haha..I don learn new one..(you're just like the British weather)..read somewhere that sometimes all the British climates can occur in a single day.. anyway, I cant thank you enough for the heads up...God Bless.. and bros did I hear you say £5k? my tuition is £10700k oooh.. it's an UG program..
