Hmm, Africa....
So I have a car service in the States and was contracted by virgin Atlantic to transport Mrs. Fayose to the airport. I new about Fayose from here, but wasn't sure if this client was part of Fayose fame or just a general name. But I put two and two together - virgin Atlantic means high profile client. The procedure is to stick the Fayose name on my car window for indification for the greeter at the airport. So she got in, pleasant conversation started, then she noticed the name sign on the window, she in one swift angry movement tore the sign from the window and crumpled it. I was taken aback, but kept cool and continued talking to her. She ranted about Buhari, but she loved Ghana, and that they own a property in trasaco estates - one of the exclusive neighborhoods, no house less than $500k. And that her brother is there etc.. This was 5 years ago, then i couldn't help but wonder about how that property was acquired. Don't know the Fayose story much. But wasnt he under investigation from your corruption ministry?

I currently reside in the US. I have this idea of creating an eCommerce marketplace - mall in the sky so to speak - where buyers and sellers meet to exchange services. I am sure you have come across this idea before, but thought I did give it a shot here on Nairaland. So my idea briefly -
1.I own this domain name - SkyeMall dot com - which i think is appropriate.
2. I have access to an excellent script, with a little tweaking - incorporate local online payment platforms, cash on delivery, commissions etc. - will be ideal.
3. SkyeMall will handle all deliveries between buyers and sellers, start from local area Accra,Lagos etc.. Using and starting with two or three nimble motorbikes, or popular keke tricycles to navigate local traffic.
4. Estimate initial investment less than $40,000, with continuous marketing taking bulk.With effective marketing, I think this business could grow to become part of the growing online eCommerce boom in Africa.
So what do I bring to the table -
The Idea,though not unique, free location to start(if Accra), integrity etc..

There is no comparison btw Nigeria and Ghana - Naija is bigger in evrything. So we have about 5 airports and you have much more, so what.Nigeria is a bigger economy. I Concede this prof should have choosen his words better.Ghanaians being the "dirtiest people on the face" smacks of the usual Niaja arrogance, and dishonesty. Why the vitriol against this prof just because he is Ghanaian? I still young ohh - is it the Busia expulsion act that started this hatred? In Ghana i see confident Nigerians moving about freely in whatever business they are into; i doubt is vice versa in Niaja. This view of the criminal,dishonest,arrogant Nigerian wasn't started in Ghana ohh. Again why the hatred. The whole of West Africa is full of water.All depends on the capital you have.
