u guys should chill. there is nothing like hike in fees since the school authority has not categorically lay claim to such. i think there's a mix up somwhere. the fees for stale students has not changed except for the addition of 5k late registration which is even an error.

Politics / Re: NERC Promises Improved Power Supply by emmakind: 10:28am On Aug 25, 2013
i wish nigerians would one day take up challenges against the power sector. it is high time we refuse to pay for services not rendered. perhaps, disconnecting our homes from the national grid would be a good way to press home our demands since most of us spend much fueling
our generators on a monthly basis

Education / Re: ASUU Withdraw From Negotiation With Government by emmakind: 11:23am On Aug 23, 2013
Reyginus: Lolol. I can't help but laugh at the workings of the mind that came to such a conclusion, even when he seems to have come from an intelligent dimension.
I begin to wonder if it has ever happened that a sane person will condemn anyone opposing his opinion as ignorant without showing where and how the ignorance appeared in the latter's statement.
My friend, government is supposed to be a continous process, yes. But what happens when that which is to be continued is not feasible with the available means?
As a addition to my intelligence, you can break your perceived ignorance in me.
oh oh! i can see u are burning with that desire "let me just finish my studies in time" without giving thoughts to the standards of education. thank God u accepted that government is a continuous process. this is one problem our country is facing. dig deep into the nation's wealth and find out that we have what it takes to make our varsities compete with the likes of havard. infrastructures, equipment, teaching aids etc here in my school are nothing to write home about. have u wondered why these people cannot send their wards to our schools?

with comments i have read so far i think government should be introduced as a course at levels of our secondary education (jss1-ss3) science classs inclusive. this will enable us to know how government works. if an agreement was signed by ibb in 1985 it remains valid even in 2015 that we don't know who will occupy aso rock. responsiblities are not shouldered by any individual in power but by government as an entity. the government of today (not gej) should honor the agreement its signed with ASUU by its predecessors (not yar adua)
Education / Re: ASUU Withdraw From Negotiation With Government by emmakind: 7:54am On Aug 23, 2013
Reyginus: If we want to thread that path bro, we will then have to consider the representatives of the company who signed the agreement in the first place.
Do you hold me on account of an agreement I know nothing about?
These men are selfish!!
honestly, a whole lots of our students are unworthy and an ignoramus like u must have liked your post. if u must know, government is a continuous process and does not matter if the agreement was signed by buhari in 1984. gej is just opportuned to be occupying that seat today. if he leaves government remains. it might even interest u to know that gej wouldn't have gone against it if he was still a lecturer
Education / Re: ASUU Withdraw From Negotiation With Government by emmakind: 7:23am On Aug 23, 2013
Justosaus: selfish lecturers. Gambling with the future of nigerians because of allowances
who is gambling with the future of nigerians? is it the lecturers who fight to ensure normal atmosphere in our educational institutions or the government that keeps paying lips service? i bet u don't know that the children of these top government officials do not school in this country. do u know why?

Some Yoruba people are already warming up for which possible abandoned property to occupy.

All I can tell you is: It ain't gonna happen!

2013 is not 1967.

Igbo people are highly resourceful and when push comes to shove, Yoruba will be decimated in Lagos.

You better watch it

sincerely, no one knows how the school goes about the admission process but 10 candidates for a prof. is totally out of point. my sister got 64% for economics and am praying she gets admitted
Education / Re: University of Ilorin 2013/2014 Admission by emmakind: 3:32pm On Jul 21, 2013
OmoUSH: In unilorin, a prof is entitled to has 10 or 15 candidates of which all will surely b admitted while drs are to have 5 candidates respectively. Non-teaching staffs are entittled to at most 2. Unilorin is all politics, i bet u.
hmmm! where did you get this fact from? if it were to be this way, myself & some friends would not have been admitted
