The Federal Road Safety Commission has just come out with the concept of “ICE”.. Please read carefully, it may save your life or that of someone you know" We all carry our mobile phones with names numbers stored in its memory. If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn'tnknow who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency) Campaign. The concept of 'ICE' is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As mobile phones are carried by the majority of the population, all youbneed to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name 'ICE' ( In Case Of Emergency). The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents there were always mobile phones with patients but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialling the number you have stored as 'ICE'. Please forward this. It won't take too many 'forwards' before everybody will know about this. It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest. For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc. PASS THIS AROUND AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE AS THIS CAN HELP IN AN EMERGENCY".. Have done my part, what about you. #Copied |
Nice one.. For the Asagbe of asaba Prof Joseph .. His MBBCh means Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery not Chemotherapy plz! |
sauceny:The woman can go to court but wont win the case.. Abortion is not legal in Nigeria, its a offence under d penal code punishable with jail terms on conviction for both the woman seeking n the doctor that carried it out. Mind you the doctor if smart will know how to exonerate himself! |
Congrats. Even my friends wife gave birth yesterday too! |
Oh my CHS auditorium Oakland. Tis where we laid our foundation for greatness. NAUTH ROCKS! |
SEYIKP:He is obviously a medical doctor ( judging from his response) if this is the case, he doesnt need a PHD to become a professor.. All he needs is his recidency training NUC recognizes that Consultancy status/ Fellowship of a College is higher than a PHD cert. So He progressed in his academic life via d Consultancy pathway n became a prof! |

I disagree with your credentials of a good guy... Those things you listed doesnt make any one a good guy... Nice guys know themselves! |
Officerricky:lol. I will report you to unth |
hmmmmmn. Holy match making. odikwa egwu ooo |
You guys may have said your minds the old Jim has said they way he knows and understands probably passing the blame to this oncologist.... Now what if his son choose to be treated in a private hospital instead of UNTH....Jim nwobodo spoke with his son at 5:30 p.m ( after normal work hour) n he told him he is seeing this oncologist this re affirms the fact that Jim's son went to this guys private clinic not UNTH.... Its highly unlikely the guy went first to UNTH n was referred to a private facility. Most importantly stage 4 of any malignancy is TERMINAL. what ever you are doing anywhere in the world is palliative not definitive care by then there is almost always a multi organ involvement! He also said instead of d doctor taking his son to UNTH. by 6p.m. is it the doctors duty? he has closed work n probably at his private facility.. Why didn't u take him to UNTH yourself or instruct any of his relatives around.... Its not just fair trying to blackmail this doctor... Let him go to court if he thinks d Doctor erred. RIP nwobodo Jnr. |

After the strike we will apply |
saxywale: most of them would reapply back as locum. But I doubt it would get to that stage anyway. They would be recalled in 2 or 3 months time. FG just probably want the residents to know how easy it is without a monthly income in Nigeria. No one is reapplying for locum.. no doctor is gonna go hungry becos a federal job was terminated...beside try understand the people that will suffer this most are the helpless patients not even the resident doctors........For these residents many of dem work else wia n own privates / businesses. dey are prepared for the show down. |
warrior01: what a great relief! After all, most Nigeria doctors are utterly useless. imagine some of them denying their profession and others tending their resignation letters just because they heard Ebola is in town. Thank God for the able agbo sellersu are d most useless thing I ever saw. anyway u ain't worth my data |
If you are an undergraduate or you have graduated and you took your bath this morning with salt and water please in all honesty return your school fees back to your parents, if you are a health professional and you did same Hmmm you are deadlier than Ebola. #okwu |
Na now day break... The doctors strike is even a blessing in disguise otherwise if LUTH was working Late Patrick Sawyer would have been taken there first and only God knows how many nurses. patients n doctors would have gone down... #resistebola |
Eldavido1: Boko Haram coming from the North, Ebola coming from the south, Nigerians caught in the middle. Wia man pikin fit run go sef!!!!!Run to the east |
I URGE ALL MY FRIENDS TO READ & SHARE THIS; YOU COULD SAVE A LOVED ONES LIFE BY KNOWING THIS SIMPLE INFORMATION!!! Stroke has a new indicator! They say if you forward this to ten people, you stand a chance of saving one life. Will you send this along? Blood Clots/ Stroke - They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the Tongue: During a BBQ, a woman stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) ...she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Jane went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Jane's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 PM Jane passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Jane would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead. It only takes a minute to read this. A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough. >>RECOGNIZING A STROKE<< Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR. Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke. Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions: S *Ask the individual to SMILE. T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. Chicken Soup) R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS. If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher. New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke. A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved. I have done my part. Will you? |
