No one is reapplying for locum.. no doctor is gonna go hungry becos a federal job was terminated...beside try understand the people that will suffer this most are the helpless patients not even the resident doctors........For these residents many of dem work else wia n own privates / businesses. dey are prepared for the show down.

Secondly, only RESIDENT doctors are affected, consultants are not.

Consultants hardly do any work. Its the residents who do most of the work so if all resident doctors have been sacked,then I fear for all of us who can't afford to go abroad for treatment.

phantom: someone who knows and loves Jonathan should remind him that this very action was taken against doctors in the 80's by the military junta. it was so bad that doctors had their names on the boards and on national TV as being sacked. they were also forcefully ejected from their residences by soldiers.
this culminated in the worst level of brain drain this country ever witnessed.

What is the big deal there, NMA started it. They shouldn't worry about F.G reaction because action and reaction are equal and opposite in direction. Resident doctors are under training with F.G money and now F.G have decided to use their money and pay her real employers. They demanded a better pay and F.G is now doing her best to pay them well, consultants will now work and no longer sitting in their offices and sending resident doctors who are still learning to butcher human beings. Go to teaching hospitals and see for yourself. People have been dying since they went on irresponsible strike, so no new thing to hear. God will surely save innocent Nigerians. Innocent Nigerians will prevail.
